I was looking forward to our stay in Darwin, particularly at the Waterfront, as I was keen to have my family experience the best that beautiful city has to offer. We had booked a queen room and a twin room but on arrival (around 9.30pm) it was 2 queen rooms which was just not going to work. I enquired at reception, complete with confirmation that a twin had been requested only to be met with rude staff and a manager who wanted to play the 'blame game' insisting that they had not received the notification from the booking agent. That may well be the case but that is between the booking agency and the hotel, not us. They did offer to install a rollaway bed but hey, would you put your frail 86 year old in one? As it happens, another party travelling separately from us had the same issue - something that needs to be sorted between the hotel and booking agencies. We didn't even receive an apology....
I'm not a fussy traveller but the hotel needs to inspect the cleanliness. We stayed in room 337 and the shower was pretty disgraceful. Clearly when the rooms are done, the cleaner does the main part of the shower but not behind the shower door as there was dirt and hair (ewwww) that you don't see until you're in the shower with the door closed. Unacceptable and certainly not what you expect when you pay upwards of $400 per night.
The breakfast venue, Verve, is ordinary. Parking was fine although accessing the carpark via the hotel is quite convoluted.

Great place to stay, but for an extended period is advised. Fully contained so you can cook and/or reheat your meals. Staff very friendly and helpful. Central to everything, and walking very easy. Cafes and pub excellent and within the confines and short walking distances of the Hotel.

Apartments make stays away from home much easier. Better amenities & easier to be a little more self sufficient. You also don't have to clean the place before you leave with the threat of a cleaning bill (AirBnB style) The room was very generous in size & layout. Appreciated the 24hr reception/check-in & air-con being on when arrived at 1am (delayed flight). Waterfront is great area if staying with kids - the wave pool (small fee payable) & the croc free swimming area popular in warmer weather. The hotel restaurant was disappointing, it felt like they rely on people dining there & can charge to room. Drinks from their bar by the pool was a great idea. We were there in the wet season, so the place felt empty - but the prices don't reflect this.

Second time here & left very disappointed. Location is great but the service is below average - particularly the cleanliness of the rooms. We had to call twice during our stay (in the evenings) after the room wasn’t cleaned & we had full bins and wet towels. Room service was done in under 5 mins with no surfaces wiped down or floors cleaned at all during our stay. The pool & spa were so cold it was uncomfortable so we avoided. I have tried to email and raise these, plus other issues, with management. I haven’t heard back, so have resorted to writing my first ever review.

we had taken the ghan from adelaide to darwin with an 89 year old father-in-law in tow, and felt he'd prefer the comfort of a serviced apartment. hello adina waterfront.
their rooms served our needs well. i've rated them accordingly - i don't think it was worthy of an excellent rating, but it was very good. we were both in one bedroom apartments overlooking the waterfront. the view from the third floor was very nice and the rooms were fine. our bed was comfortable and we slept well at night.
breakfast is available for $20pp, and that represents fantastic value. it was the usual buffet with hot and cold offerings, but it was all very nice. we found the staff there very friendly and accommodating - couldn't do enough for us.
there's no doubting the waterfront precinct of darwin is tourist central. but the good thing with that is there are places to eat and drink all around you - you just need to make a choice. it's fair to say some places aren't as good as others, but such is life.

My stay in the 1 bedroom apartment left me quite dissatisfied, and I can only give it 2 stars. Two major issues marred my experience: the inadequate air conditioning and an unpleasant odor that permeated the space.Firstly, the air conditioning system was far from satisfactory. It struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature, leaving me sweltering in the summer heat. It felt like a basic necessity that was overlooked, especially in a place where climate control is essential for a pleasant stay.Secondly, there was a persistent and unpleasant odor in the apartment that I couldn't ignore. It made the environment less than inviting and affected my overall comfort during my stay.Moreover, the apartment did not live up to the expectations I had for a "premier" accommodation. The outdated decor, lack of attention to detail, and the issues with air conditioning and odor all contributed to a disappointing experience.In conclusion, my stay in this 1 bedroom apartment fell short of what I anticipated. With a non-functional air conditioning system and an unpleasant smell, it failed to deliver a premier experience. Improvements in these areas are essential to make this accommodation more suitable for guests.

We had interconnecting rooms, one being a 1- bedroom apartment. We were facing the waterfront which was really lovely. Music from the restaurants downstairs was audible but the noise stopped at around 10pm. The accommodation was comfortable and there was a washing machine and a clothes dryer in one of the bathrooms. Unfortunately, the dryer was inadequate in drying our clothes even after they have sent someone from maintenance to look at the problem. The location of the property was very convenient to Stokes Hill as well as the CBD.

Arrived here for a 3 night trip before heading off on the Ghan.
The location of this hotel is great - right on the waterfront. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly.
But the hotel itself is drab and dated. Our room was particularly poorly kept.
The bathroom needed a major scrub. The floors needed a good mop (with a clean mop) as were visibly black. The shower was built up with mould in the silicone and mould on the ceiling. Our toilet seat didn’t sit straight.
The shower was dangerous to step in and out of as the non slip grip had worn off. This is particularly concerning with the elderly clientele that this hotel seems to have.
Our doona within the sheets was exposed with disgusting stains on it.
Cleanliness of this standard always has you questioning the things you cannot see.
Unsure why when the hotel didn’t appear busy that we were placed on the first floor. We had people from a conference walking up and down our corridor making phone calls right outside our door. At night time the room was extremely noisy from the pub/tavern downstairs. People laughing and drinking, along with very loud music.
People who had ordered room service, their food sat outside their rooms for over 24 hours waiting to be collected. Now this was disgusting. Fruit covered in flies, empty milk cartoon? Surely staff would be going up and down this corridor during the day and someone could have taken it away.
The standard of this hotel is certainly not what it pertains to be with signs everywhere about commitment to cleanliness.
The buffet breakfast, whilst a nice selection needs to be monitored more closely, and perhaps staff need to be on hand to assist with serving in a covid environment as buffets are bad enough pre covid. We witnessed multiple occasions where children were helping themselves, touching utensils & glasses unnecessarily.
I will be speaking to Journey Beyond who booked our travel. We were obviously relegated to the outdated rooms as part of a package deal booked.

If you like noise noise and more noise then the Adina Darwin is the place for you. The parks leaf blowers start at 7am in the morning and go for an hour and a half. If that’s not enough there is aquarrobics in the wave pool with a speaker that is almost as tall as the instructor. The rooms and furniture are very dated. Have had to call reception for house keeping to clean our room. Never at Adina again!!!!

Great location, friendly staff, very comfy bed and pillows, good wifi. Kitchen had no frying pan, no cooking utenils, dirty oven without rost. Pan took 4 days and four different people to be delivered. Hangers are in-closet only, cannot use to hang sth on bathroom. Lounge smelled of mould and I was neither given a different room or any price reduction. No good for a stay of 8 weeks.
