This place is very tired inside and out. Dare I say its just for tradies but that would be rude to them. Carpark is a mess and falling apart. Inside the room broken things had obviously been patched. Reception service was even less enthralling compared to other places (for similar price) that asked "have you been here before?" then gave a quick heads up on where shops, eateries, attractions were. Traffic noise at night was high even though in a back room. Other guests seemed to be throwing themselves around to all hours. Bed less than satisfactory with the bed cover being your option for a blanket plus a/c was old, noisy and not really working. Also power was off to it so you had to be tall to reach the switch about 1.9m above floor level. Cleanliness - apparently attempts had been made to clean well but everything is so old it leaves questions. Would I recommend or stay again - definitely NO. Worst place I stayed on a 5 day 3,000km trip.…
The room was absolutely filthy. Ripped curtains, stained bedding and mould and dirty all over the bathroom. This isn’t just a bad cleaning service the day before, it’s a build up of filth and neglect over many years. Fan in bathroom didn’t work at all, patched up walls not finished. Photos online bookings certainly shown very different to real life.
Was booking a room at Chelsea Motor In, in coffs harbour, i called up to see if they take these certain vouchers. Now i completey understand if they dont take them but thats all i wanted to know. The Guy on the servive desk who was on phone to me said they close at 8 and no one will be there to give our keys etc. Well i was booking online and the site said the lastest times i could get there was 10 but the rude man said the new owners just brought this place and we will run it how we like... well you new owners need to get your stuff sorted online and i was not impressed with how i was being talked to on the phone. Very rude and not good customer service!
Stayed here one night on marathon trip Melbourne to Brisbane. Dog tired when I arrived. Apart from being close to shops, pubs, the room was great, air con worked superbly bed comfortable, bathroom perfect. Had a good nights sleep. Checkin was friendly.
The room was clean and comfortable as you would expect. Parking was at my room door with enough space for a car, not like some other places that only have room for motorcycles. It was a short walk to have dinner in the CBD of Coffs.
Paid close to $300 for one night stay. Very old and outdated rooms. The bathroom has no exhaust and the window was broken. The moment I sat on the bed the mattress was so soft that it became in U shape. I had neck pain in the morning due to sleeping on that. The aircon was a window A/C which was very old and had broken buttons. Not worth paying that much amount at all.
End of the day, this is budget motor inn so set your expectations appropriately. Most importantly, the room is clean, bed comfortable, decent shower, easy parking within their central lot. Location is convenient to several restaurants including a Chinese, Pubs, and the Ex Services Club across the street giving plenty of meal options. There's also stores/shopping within walking distance. Happy enough to stay here again, thanks to friendly check-in staff and being a good location.
Just spent 6 nights at the Chelsea Motor Inn, Coffs Harbour and can only give high praise towards this establishment. The room was very clean and comfortable, parking is ideal and location is ideal. The main point I would like to get across is how committed the staff are to ensuring your stay with them is happy and memorable. They could not have been more committed to ensuring my stay was comfortable. They really do go above and beyond for their customers. I would recommend the Chelsea Motor Inn to anyone.
Recently stayed at Chelsea Motor Inn. It was perfect for what we wanted, affordable accomodation. We arrived late, left early. Room was comfortable and clean, reception was friendly. It is old, but met out expectations for the price.
A cheap bed for the night given the fact we had 4 beds to choose from and 2 rooms. Downfall, we were upstairs. Handy location, but on the main road through Coffs Harbour, being a light sleeper, earplugs would have been beneficial. Close to pub, club and next door to Dan Murphy's.
