I was at a conference in the nearby Convention Centre so this was a good choice as it is an easy couple of minute walk away. I booked in to a standard King room and arrived early. The hotel offered me a room but I chose to wait for my preferred room on a high floor. I went for a wander around Canberra and the hotel called me to tell me when the room was ready. The staff were pleasant and efficient. The room itself was spacious and I liked the large desk area with the LED desk lamp. They have a large fridge and give you plenty of tea and hot chocolate. The bed was comfy with a large TV and all the digital channels. The room overlooked trees (so not worth paying more for a park view as you will just see more trees!) and the hotel is on a quiet street set back from the road. There are very good blackout blinds. I did not like the bathroom at all - it is like a 3* motel bathroom with tired old fittings and pump action toiletries. Not what I expect in a 4* Crowne Plaza charging $200 a night. A real disappointment and they need to do a renovation now! The pool was closed for winter but I used the gym which was well equipped with modern treadmills. I would consider staying again but the bathrooms were a let down.…
Great front desk staff member Adam. Check in/check out punctual and professional Rooms extremely spacious with tea/coffee facilities and a well stocked bathroom. Excellent room service menu and quality. Well priced too for a hotel. Unfortunately where the positives end. Heat function on the air con didn’t work. 27 degrees and still blowing cold air. A change of room was not offered. A blanket was requested and was provided literally with a sheet. Lots of signs around the hotel assuring guests of cleanliness however this apparently wasn’t extended to my room. Upon dropping my mobile under the second bed I moved the bed to the side to retrieve. 2 bottle caps, Bobby pins, a USED face mask and hair tie was found underneath. Just how thorough is the cleaning, really?? Put me off taking advantage of having a nice coffee in my room incase the glassware wasn’t effectively cleaned either. A beautiful hotel in a great location but unsure if I’ll give them a third chance…
Was a wonderful stay all of the staff were terrific. Very pleasant and happy. Room service menu was great and food quality was really good. Very comfy bed and nice and dark. Great location to CBD. Good restaurant downstairs. Very easy check in service. Really enjoyed my stay
We stayed in a first floor suite which was spacious and very comfortable There was a decent size refrigerator an outdoor eating area on the balcony and a table for dining in the open plan living room The bed was comfortable and the bathroom very clean The duty manager was extremely helpful when we encountered a small lighting failure nothing was too much trouble We would stay again and in particular in room 115 The hotel position was central especially to the new shopping malls We availed ourselves of the restaurant with friends where the food was good and the convenience of room service the following night and the food was of the same high quality Well done
Nice hotel. We had a very good view of the park from our room. Location is also good. Bed nice, reallg smooth sheets. Room has coffee and tea facilities. Best thing was the buffet breakfast. It was filling, free specialty coffee as well. Wait staff also really attentive. Easy check in and out.
