We were looking to spend a night in a rural hotel close by to a Parmesan dairy so we wouldn’t have too far to drive the next morning. The Ca’ del Rio fitted the bill perfectly. Our room was upstairs in the same building as the restaurant. It was a little dated but very spacious with a similarly large modern bathroom. Thoughtful touches such as chilled still and sparkling water, and Lindt chocolates. Breakfast was AMAZING!!! It was included in our room rate and was even more than 5 star. It was a lavish country spread including great coffee, cereals, yoghurts, bread, several different types of cheese, Parma ham and other cold meats, fruit juices, including numerous gourmet juices such as cherry bottled from their own trees!!! Not to mention a huge range of homemade cakes and tarts. Amazing! …
The hotel is at a peaceful location just outside a small village of Casinalbo. The rooms were quite large and very well maintained. The toiletries were good and included even a toothbrush, that is very very uncommon in Europe. The breakfast was very typical Italian consisting mainly of sweet things. We did not eat at the restaurant, but it seemed pretty crowded in the middle of the week.…
The hotel is not a hotel at all, rather rooms in a private residence that all share a bathroom. As far as we could gater, there were at least 3 rooms sharing a bathroom and posibly the residence too. Having said that, it is clean and has air con, which is a must. Everything we needed was within walking distance. We woke up from the neighbours fighting and physically attacking one another, the water ways between the buildings are narrow and windows look straight into the next appartment. It doesn't look like the picture we saw of the outside. The directions to the accommodation was good. Very close to Strade Nouvo which leads to absolutely everything. As Venice is small, everything is within walking distance and it might be faster to walk than wait for a waterbus. The accommodation is close to Billa (supermarket) and McDonnalds. Has no facilities to eat or drink anything and no outside area to sit. Staff was friendly once he got to know us. I would NOT reccommend walking around at night in this neighbourhood.…
