With the M6 only minutes away this is a perfect stop off point for the weary traveller. For those wanting a longer stay there are many places to explore from the central location. Accommodation The Old School offers an excellent standard of bed & breakfast accommodation ranging from single through to large family rooms. We can cater for larger groups up to 20 people, in large spacious family B&B. All our rooms offer tea and coffee facilities and en-suite bathrooms.

We stayed overnight in a family room which was a good size for us and our 2 kids (11 & 13). The room and en-suite bathroom was spotless, as was all areas of the B&B and the owners were really nice and welcoming. The cooked breakfast was great and there’s was no pressure regarding checkout. The village pub is a 5 minute walk away and served great food as well. Thoroughly recommend staying here!

Please don’t waste your money , Arrived Paid a lot of money for 1 night Took ages for the owners to come to us , Wasn’t even shown to the room , Omg what a shock . Was like a hostel Bed linin was dirty with hairs on it Smelt dirty Very dated Asked for a view only skylight window Bathroom grubby no bath Louge grubby and Sophs dirty Smelt of grease We left after 5 minutes

So, your review was deleted from booking.com due to the threats and lies. You threatened us with bad reviews if we didn't give a refund after you had a difficult time with your family and decided to go home. You have chosen another format for that review. Here is that review and here is the answer. You paid a reasonable amount for a family room £111 for 3 guests including breakfast and en-suite. You had to wait 2or 3 minutes as we were busy with another guest. We don't show guests to rooms as per covid-19 guidance (as your room was just at the top of the stairs we didn't anticipate you would have an issue finding it) You demanded a bath despite being told there were only shower rooms before arrival All our rooms are clean and sanitised between guests, You used every bed, made brews, drank them on the patio, used the bathroom, failed to flush, used towels. Indeed, you were here for about 4 hours before the incident with your son which made you chose to leave. Since you left you have attempted to force us to refund with threats of bad reviews. However, a review like this really does reflect more on you. I told you at the time that we don't give in to bullying. Here we are standing up to it. Was a little expensive for 2 nights though the breakfast was good and it’s ran by some very lovely people who were very friendly and welcoming. Bedrooms- though basic are nicely decorated with a great shower! Had some lovely views from our window also

Hospitality was good. The bedroom and shower room cum toilet was small but the lounge was nice and warm on a cold night. Breakfast was included in the price but was not one to shout about although sufficient.
