I originally booked 2 days and 2 nights but upon arriving and seeing the amenities , view and snorkeling area, I extended another day. My family loved the atmosphere of the dining area, clean room and of course the clear waters. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The challenging part was traversing the 200+steps with a senior citizen and toddler . Food was quite expensive but the staff allowed us to bring food and drinks in our rooms. over all stay was very good and relaxing!

This place is a gem. Very relaxing and quiet. Wind blowing the whole day while guests sit by the seashore, right under the big trees and enjoying a truly nice view of the ocean. So relaxing we managed to put aside our gadgets and just stared at the sea and mountains for hours. 5-star service and accommodation. Ala Carte breakfast is good notably the Alta Mare Tapa Special. Food at the restaurant are delicious but choices are quite limited. Dishes good for 1 to 2 persons are P400 to P500 per order but serving size is generous. Complimentary batangas brewed coffee available anytime while restaurant is open. Parking is not a problem. Staff are very courteous and attentive. The room where we stayed which is a premium delux has 2 queens beds and 1 big sofa bed. Very modern and comfy including the bathroom. The hotel also provides booking for island hopping and snorkling.
The only caveat is the long stairway going down from the parking to the resort and vice versa. Anywhere between 100 to 200 steps there are 3 rest areas along the way. Good thing the hotel crew were there to assist and carry our stuff. This will be a serious concern for people who cant climbs stairs like seniors and disabled (no provision for wheelchair). If this is a potential problem for you, call the hotel in advance and arrange for options like boat transfer (from the docks to the hotel). Also, the restaurant closes at 9pm so if youre planning to stay up very late at night, make sure you have all the food and drinks you will need. There are many neighborhood convenience stores along the way.
My 2nd time here and will certainly come back again. Highly recommended. Love the place.

The resort was unexpectedly a gem offering great views of the sea. I personally loved the shaded balcony area with a huge tree. There were around 200 steps going down but it was an easy route anyway so it wasn’t an issue for us. The scuba diving staff were all very friendly and their diving equipments were in good condition so that’s really a plus. Also, much thanks to our dive master for taking awesome underwater photos. One thing I have to say is that their food was bit expensive and it seems they need more kitchen staff. But overall, we had a lovely stay and I’d definitely want to go back.

Our trip in Altamare was very disappointing. They had poor service. It started with the guard at the entrance who didn’t help us with our bags and was not accommodating at all. He just told us to go down. The stairs to the lobby was about 10 flights or more with no one helping us with our bags and dive gear. There were no signages leading to the reception area. We asked two people who just said “sa pinakababa.” When we reached the reception, we complained that no one helped us expecting, when they bring us to our rooms, they would help us with our bags. Still no one accommodated us to our rooms! Don’t get me started with the restaurant. The food takes about 1 hour to arrive. Do they only have one pan and one cook? Plus the food was not good at all. I ordered shoom chowder and I am sure it was the knorr instant mushroom soup. Their hot chocolate was instant. I mean for the price I expect more than instant soup. So disappointing! During breakfast we checked “extras” such as french toast and bacon which they forgot to serve. I followed up twice and they said they were doing it already but after another hour I just cancelled the order. It never arrived anyway. The only thing good about altamare was the dive master and the dive crew. They were very accommodating and friendly. The rest of the crew there seemed like they didn’t like what they were doing. Never going back there! Food was awful. Service was awful.

I enjoyed staying at Altamare! I stayed with a relative to enjoy a summer weekend near some coastal, beach-y areas. It rained much more than expected, but we were still able to enjoy some snorkeling and pooltime. The menu was a mix of Filipino, Western, and fusion dishes, so it was easy to try out different options, even as someone who cannot eat meat. The room was clean and accommodating, just the right size for two guests, the a/c was solid, and I appreciated the mix of programming available on the TV - could've used a mini-fridge for us to keep our water/drinks cold and our leftover pizza fresh. :) The biggest drawback for me was the number of stairs and lack of access for folks who may have mobility limitations or use assistive devices. I'm generally pretty healthy, but even so my knees were struggling by the end of my stay (3 nights). Otherwise, the staff were incredibly responsive and industrious, they were always busy preparing and accommodating guests.

i think their side of the beach is the best by far for snorkeling, but as for the resort, personally i have experienced problem in our room, everyday we have a heater problem, leak from their aircon.
food, ull get tired of it after 2 days, i wish they can price it a lil bit more reasonable and it would have been great all of their food in their menus are for sharing. mostly are single serving.
facilities are not bad, downside are the stairs, not meant for seniors to stay.
the manager can be a lil bit nicer and accommodating instead of scaring us from getting a boat elsewhere, he will offer something when we are already on board and made a deal for island hopping, i find their prices for activities way too expensive specially for big group like us.

Very relaxing place to stay. Enjoyed snorkeling and kayaking. The room was very neat and comfortable to stay in. We ordered food and it was neatly prepared, plus the fruits were freshly cut. We had so much fun. We didn’t notice the time passed by so quickly. Although there are a lot of guests, it is not crowded. Also, the place is pet-friendly! The dogs brought by some guests were so cute.

Our department had a lovely time at Altamare. We started planning for this workshop late last year and Vanne and Sir Dondon were very responsive and attentive to all the changes and requests we had due to government procurement processes. In the days leading up to our stay, we were able to iron out all the details we needed and I was happy to see that everything was in order when we got to the resort.
The staff at the resort were incredibly kind and hardworking. They made sure that all of us were comfortable and also accommodated our requests for island hopping and boat transfers. The rooms and facilities were all very pretty and clean, which made everyone more relaxed. he function room was spacious and had a great view of the ocean. It also had everything we needed to conduct our workshop. The food was also very well-cooked; the menu had a great range so that even faculty members who only ate fish or vegetables were satisfied.
Over-all, I will not hesitate to book or recommend Altamare for future company or personal events. Thank you so much!

I just loved the place! Very peaceful, great spots for snorkeling and diving. The restaurant is a little expensive in comparison to other places but it is understood once you get there and you have to go down the 250 stairs. All in all, I would come back! Just in case, bring mosquitos repellent and little luggage for you to carry it up and down.

My family went here for a quick getaway to de-stress, dive, and celebrate my sister's birthday in advance. The place really is relaxing, and peaceful. Staff are accommodating and helpful, they do not have cakes available but Cara (one of the receptionists) went out of her way to help us order a cake on short notice.
The only downside is that their restaurant has limited options for food, and their website says they offer Scuba diving AND skindiving/freediving, but once we got there, we were informed that they only offer scuba diving and have never offered skindiving/freediving since Altamare was established. Please make sure you do not mislead potential guests with these headlines on your website.
