I am surprised that we have not reviewed this hotel before as it is one of our long term favourites. It is situated in a quiet charming valley, handy for Chichester and Goodwood and the quaint little town of Midhurst. There are lots of amenities - spa, indoor and outdoor pool - good pitch and putt - and in summer tennis, croquet and bowls..... Staff are very pleasant. Breakfast is generally excellent, though service can be a little slow if it is full but on our last visit it was quiet and service was excellent. There is a good all day menu - and if you get good weather you can have a very pleasant on the terrace.. and you can easily spend all day at the hotel. Dinner is more variable with quite a limited menu - and we have been disappointed on the size and quality of the steaks on occasion - particularly since you have to pay a supplement... The rooms are cosily furnished and fully equipped and there is a comfortable lounge and a small bar. Overall we find it a very relaxing place to spend one or two days... PS to hotel - some carpets (eg stairs) need replaced...

Park House is a truly wonderful, quintessential English country house hotel. The property boosts a true home from home experience. The bedrooms/cottages are traditionally styled and very comfortable. For an exclusive use wedding or occasion (50 to 60 guests) this property is certainly the spot. Stuart, Demi and all the team were attentive, caring and professional. The only aspect that could be improved upon is the breakfast. The breakfast menu and set up was lovely, however the traditional breakfast was very dry, lacked seasoning and somewhat cold when served. We cannot wait to return for a little spa weekend. This property is the perfect bolthole.

This was a return trip, and postponed from last autumn. Whilst the weather was grim, lots of rain, this did not dampen our spirits, nor blight the lovely couple of days at PHH. The staff are, without exception, delightful, so courtesous, nothing too much trouble. The rooms are traditionally furnished with very comfy beds. A quick call for fresh milk was promtly sorted (there are no in-room fridges). The grounds look lovely...we will explore more on our next visit, if it's drier! Most of used swam at various times, the pool is really stylish, subdued lighting and irridescent tiles, the far side is laned-off for serious swimmers which does mean there's limited space in the rest of the pool, especially as the jaccuzi cuts off one corner. It wasn't clement enough to try the outdoor pool...next time! Local day-users were overheard in the changing room saying they needed to hurry up to "beat the hotel guests" to the pool... Our treatments were also good, very calming, though oddly some therapists showed their clients to the relaxing room afterwards whereas one therapist who treated two of us never mentioned it...shame. The communal lounges are lovely, both in the main house and the lodge across the drive, perfect for relaxing with friends. This is a really delihtful hotel where so much has been well thought out, we can't wait to return!

We popped here for a couple of days just to get away after a stressful year!! To say the least we were not disappointed.... We were greeted by a friendly, happy reception desk who couldn't have been more helpful or polite. We were taken to our room which is classed as 'Standard' but really was spotlessly clean, equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, robes, slippers, shampoo, body wash .. iron, ironing board...everything you could possibly think of. Next we went to the spa and again...greeted by the nicest, friendliest people, at reception. The facilities are such good quality everything is immaculate.....We went straight for a swim and jacuzzi ... again spotlessly clean, more towels and robes readily available...a cup of tea brought to us at our lounger by the pool...pure luxury. ..... Next....spa treatment !! Wow....first a sugar scrub...I was completely tingling and invigorated afterwards, my therapist Louise, was very professional, checking my comfort and well being the whole time....Then I had a Mind and Soul massage by Judy and I thoroughly recommend this one....it is glorious!! Judy gives a firm massage, but, for me it was just right......I was so relaxed after, I Could only manage a quick bite to eat and bed...my husband had a full body massage by Jeanette....he said the same as me....it was so relaxing, and the oils smelt gorgeous!! All in all an absolutely fabulous couple of days....just what the dr ordered!! I cannot recommend the park house hotel highly enough....

We had a wonderful stay for my birthday. we stayed in Polo cottage with our dog and toddler and enjoyed the grounds of this beautiful but calm and laid back hotel. The putting golf and table tennis got the most attention. The pool is lovely, shame it’s not a salt pool rather than chlorine. Much nicer. I didn’t realise there was a sauna either. Service and food were lovely. Peppercorn sauce was V E R Y thin and the Vegetarian risotto portion was small so I ordered extra chips.. but that might be because I need more food to breastfeed. I had a massage with Nicolette. She was brilliant, so professional and the massage was very calming and restorative. We’d like to come back anyway and that’s rare for me.
