This resort/beach club was probably a good one back in the day. But today, it's just NOT. Upon entering the resort, i actually thought it wasn't bad -- landscaping looked good and there were a number of staff maintaining it. But then after checking other areas, i knew i made a mistake booking this place. BEACH -- rocky, dirty, you cant swim at all. PLAY AREA for kids -- just dirty. The trash i saw on my first day was still there 2 days after. POOL -- just okay but not very clean. ROOM/SUITE -- now this the biggest disappointment. Gloomy. Blankets and linens were too thin. Mini fridge was rusty and dirty. Drapes were dusty and stained. BATHROOM -- complete horror. Moldy shower curtains and toilet seat. Bathtub was stained and dusty. Spider webs on the corner and an actual big spider behind the toilet bowl. Broken showerhead holder. The whole room is just poorly maintained. Worst room I've ever stayed at. Their only saving grace is Cafe Gloria with good food and courteous staff. Still some areas of the cafe need better maintenance too. Safe to say, we will never come back here.…
We've gone here for the last two Mother's Days after going a few previous times over the years. The rooms are simply appointed, but the pool is fantastic with two curved slides the kids enjoy for hours every time we go there. They've got a 'zip-line' that's about as tame as anything bearing the name could ever be. It runs from the far corner of the property over to near the pool, and has been the source of many great memories for my family these past few years. There's also a maze that the kids enjoy racing through, and a rock-climbing wall which my seven and eight year old daughters clambered up this last go-round. The food is a little expensive and slow to arrive, but the quality of everything we've tried on the menu is very good to excellent (for my money, it's better than any pure Filipino restaurants I've eaten at in Cebu City) so make sure you order early and you won't be disappointed. There are also a few basketball hoops like I grew up playing in coin-op arcades, along with some tire obstacle courses and a few old but fun playground toys for littler kids to enjoy. All in all, we'll be going back year after year.…
Room we had was spacious but basic, cable tv, air conditioner. The pool was big though but the beach was a little less inviting. On a high note, the staff were really polite and giving it their all just to give to your every request. Food was a little pricey but it was delicious and the servings were for sharing. We didn't get to try the other activities they had, would have been fun i think (zip line, maze, wall climbing, rapelling). Overall, will still come back and give this hotel a chance. Maybe they will do a serious upgrade soon.
We were forced to look for accommodation at short notice as our ferry was cancelled due to bad weather. There were 9 of us of various ages all adults. The website of San Remigio Beach Club looked okay, but we were in for a nasty surprise. Their reception is away from the accommodation and restaurant, bar, pool etc. The rooms are bare basic, no hot water and the beds are very bad, even the 1 superior room we had for the night was awful, touch the curtains and the makeshift pole fell off, staff hanging around the rear of the room, foam bed with foam pillow. The restaurant food was cold, most ofbtheblights had their wires cut to save electricity and the wires were left dangling! The pool was green, obviously not looked after. The beach was full of garbage, the huts also had their power lines cut so no light at night. We decided to have use their grill near the beach to prepare our own food to which reception told us there was a charge per head. Due to the long day, seven of us ate, but on checkout reception told us the minimum charge was for 10 people! Robbery! One of our party was asked to check out of her room at 8.30 am even though checkout was 11am....obviously she did not! They wanted to clean! The receptionist Jeciel Ortega was very rude and unhelpful... I sincerely suggest that you avoid this resort.…
I stayed with my family overnight and we had so much fun. The resort is clean and the workers there were polite. The foods are delicious at a very adfordable price. It was a very good experience, though.
We stayed here last holy week of 2018. The kids had a great time, we really enjoyed our stay. Staffs are all very courteous and friendly. Definitely will be back. A very nice place to relax and unwind.
I visited this Beach resort on a corporate outing. It has a very big problem with the beach. Now those of you who just walk on the beach would not notice it. But take a swim or a walk a few meters off the shore and you will notice the black mud under your feet. It sucks your feet under and discolors the water. It smells the color as well and must be (and I am guessing here) runoff from the hotel as there are no large factories in the area. This muddy black area extends more than 50 meters. This can't be a Beach resort. Hope they can fix their beach.
When we arrived our assigned room wasn't cleaned yet!! Food service is so slow. They even denied me food for PM snacks because they're busy. So I ordered food in advanced for dinner, they said yes. They asked me what time, I said 7. Went back to the cafe by 7:30, then they told me there's no more lettuce(ordered salad).
Its simply a great Place to stay. By now they have even a lot of different attractions like a nice pool, a small maze, climbing tower and a zipline. The Pool with their normal and 'fast' slide are made for our Kids. The kiddypool with water 'spitting' dolphins is the place you mostly find our son, as he simply loves them. Great rooms with very comfortable beds. Sadly the Beach isn't that great. While they keep it clean and everything, the sand in the water is quite muddy, but that might be just season related, I do not know. The Restaurant offers pretty decent food and you can't do anything wrong by eating here. On the other hand, there are not many different choices anyways, as the resort is pretty remotely located. Service is very friendly and accommodating.
We had an ocular inspection for our upcoming clan reunion at that time. There was a beach, a swimming pool (with a slide), playground, a gaming area. It is like everything is there within your reach. There are various rooms to choose from. There is a main dining hall for different occasions.
