If you just need a clean place to sleep then Nordic inn is a good place for your money. Dont expect the usual hospitality thoughtfulness though (toiletries, hangers). Cable tv wasn't much, tv had no remote control. Inn staff weren't rude but their kids were mostly watching TV the whole time. Staff hardly knew places and had to figure out the island map theirselves.. Cringe.. It would be nice if they attended to you more because you hardly feel them and probably by then you'd feel a little more safe.

If youre a kiteboarder Nordic inn is a good location for you as the shore is just 10 sneezes away from the gate. Riders be here from Nov to Feb.

Cheap and clean accommodations yet other than that youre on your own.

Not a good place to stay. I was put in the top floor room accessed with narrow steep steps. Check in was very slow as the room was not ready. The room its self was quite large but very grubby. There was no hot water and no rubbish containers.

the room that i booked was small (it was the AC room type), but it was perfect as i was travelling by myself. the bathroom was small as well and unlike most of the hotels/inns, they don't supply you with soap, shampoo, toothbrush and paste so if you plan to book here, make sure you bring toiletries. Otherwise, you can always buy them in Santa Fe public market (walking distance, not far at all). the bed was big enough for two people and very comfortable. with the air condition on, the room is fairly cool even though the AC was set to 25 degrees c. i only turn it on during the day. no need for AC at night. the internet is intermittent. I had to ask them to turn the router off and back on again several times (and they were very kind to do it) because I was having a hard time connecting to their wifi. they still don't have cable TV because of Yolanda, but i think most of the hotels in Bantayan have this problem. Now, i really didn't mind about the not-so-good internet connection or small bathroom, or the absence of cable tv, but there was one thing that really annoyed me. there was an old lady who lived just beside Nordic Inn who kept on shouting (and i mean shouting at the top of her lungs)! it was like she was challenging someone to a fight. that went on for like forever and not just on the first day, but she was shouting almost everyday; even at night when everyone was just ready to call it a day and sleep. her mouth was nonstop!! if it wasn't for her, i could have given this room a rating of 4. i know this is beyond their control and im really not asking them to confront her. This is more like a heads up.

Me and my husband ended up spending eight days at the Nordic inn in Bantayan. We would definetly stay there again.

The room was a comfortable size and clean, the bed was good and the AC and Wifi worked well. It is a 1 minute walk to the beach and mabye 5-7 min walk to most restaurants and stores.

For us the service level played a big part. There was no trouble with anything, If we had any questions or needed anything the staff fixed it for us. It just made our stay very pleasant.

The manager does not know much about agoda app so she usually overbooks when the demand is high.

Those that booked should call her at her latest number 09369806229 to confirm your reservation. The number here at agoda is not updated.

The rooms have no tv which is contrary to the description. Also, the aircon is not that cold.

The location is good since it is near the beach. But I suggest to go to other places like kota beach.

You can hire motorcycle for 250 inhouse but they don't serve breakfast

We stayed at this cool hotel it was a very nice experience. Rooms are small but for the money and being on the beach by about 0 yard its great. The inn keepers here are family operated and are absolutely friendly and accommodating. We went in off season about sept. 2013. the beach was ok, it had some seaweeds but over all was nice, we went to the virgin island near by , rented a boat near hotel it was not pricy. food is available right next door, has a quite atmosphere and friendly warm family feel.

so here is our terrible experience in Nordic Inn, we book our reservation by Agoda apps bcoz we are convince of what they had display in their room pictures. it's our fault also by not reading the reviews first before booking. as we arrived late to the room (Its room no.3) it was the Worst! Room we've ever been! the walls are already black molds the room smells so bad! the CR is so Dirty! the smells like an old place occupies the whole room that make us not stay for long their aircon is not working! such a terrible, gross place to stay!

so then I request their care taker to transfer us to another room but then she refused bcoz of no more vacancies! but as I check the online reservation there are 2 rooms lfet same to what we've book! from then on the owner and the care taker always have a mad faces when they will see us! (How dare you to open your building when it is not accommodating anymore! your place is like a damn place!) and also from the agoda apps their amenities includes Free breakfast but as our friend approach for it they said they did not includes that service! f*ck up the Inn. better close it!

We booked last jan 11 2018 for feb 15-17 2018 . We got our confirmation booking from agoda, we arrived late because of un expected travel delays. but tadaa, ate said we dont have reservations on their hotel. and all rooms are full. So she moved us to a different hotel which is JUANITA. we booked for airconditoning room so juanita gave us airconditioning room (daw) we need to pay additional 300 pesos! and the aircon is not working!!!! we jusy borrowed electric fan from them and she didnt give us discount.

So since juanita expected thier guest the next day. we check out at 7am. BUT NORDIC INN STILL HAS NO ROOM FOR US. so we left our baggage on their reception area just for us to enjoy our stay in bantayan since we only have 1 whole day to tour the island. after lunch we decided to go back to nordic inn and there, we have room already. BUT THE AIRCON AGAIN IS NOT WORKING. WE AGAIN BORROWED ELECTRIc FAN from kuya. and the room is dirty. Theres wifi password but no wifi at all.

I booked Nordic Inn just 1 day prior arrival as i was not sure which island i wanted to visit among the choices of Bantayan Island , Camotes Island & Malapascua...

I stayed near Gaisano Grand Mall & there was a Fastcraft to/fro Camotes Island, from Jomalia Shipping nearby at the Mactan Marina Wharf, somewhere near the rear of Island Central Mactan..
The fastcraft was not full & somehow i was not convinced abiut Camotes for this trip.. besides the lesser accomodation options available for a last minute traveller...

After some conversations with locals at the public markets & malls , the overwhelming budget choice was Bantayan Island..

Reviews online indicated inconsistent service at Nordic Inn but also that it was steps away from a beautiful sandy beach...
I went with my gut feeling & selected Nordic Inn from amongat the little options available.

Took an early Grabcar to the Cebu North Bus Terminal after getting verified info from my guesthouse's staff as well as some shop staff i met at Colonnade Mall, that there is a 630am air-con CERES bus departure...
My grabcar driver was lovely & delivered me just 5 metres away from the Cebu North=》 Hagnaya CERES Bus & i simply rounded the fare to 300 pesos..
It was 175 pesos for the air-con CERES bus & it was very comfortable..

The scenery enroute was awesome & bus only stopped at the major towns & there was lots of empty seats throughout the journey..

The roro ride was uneventful though the boat was in a badly maintained state , quite unlike some of the Lite Ferries roro i see often within Visayas...

Upon arrival at Santa Fe Port , i had a restful light meal at the carenderia located on the right as you exit the Port building , at the side of the road leading to the town area..
This family owned carenderia is 1 of the friendliest i've met throughout my Philippines travel...they were curious about me & my travels & extremely helpful throughout my days on Bantayan..

Nordic Inn turned out to be exactly how i envisioned it to be..
A slightly grumpy manager with bored staff.
I was not able to get to my room as the previous stayers had kept the room keys though they had checked out..
The grumpy but apologetic manager offered to let me store my luggage in the Storage room while i enjoyed the beach...
The unbeatable sunny weather & powdery sandy beach just 20 metres on right side of Nordic Inn , had left me in a very super duper high moood & i readily replied that i will enjoy the meal whilst awaiting the room keys..

A private room with air-con , no TV , private but cold shower with a little terrace with worn-out wooden table & benches @ less than 800 pesos was alright for me..
Anyone who normally stays in 3* ~ 5* resorts , should never even consider this place meant for budget travellers.

Interactions with the elderly manager & staff gradually became more cordial probably becos i did not fault them about my disastrous 1st few hours without a room & that i was in a undefeatable smiley state all the time.

The beach was truly like an extremely quiet & laidback version of Boracay's White Beach .
It's even quieter & more relaxed than my favourite Dumaluan Beach on Bohol...

Nordic Inn was 5 minutes walk away from the town area where most of the shops , restaurants & bars were located but the place was very quiet even during the day...

The Nordic Inn manager & staff were pretty nasty towards some rude travellers staying at the inn..
However , there were pretty nice & informative towards me & a friendly Cebu City-based Chinese family..

I will stay at Nordic Inn again in the near future unless i can secure rooms at Kota Beach Resort or the resorts on either side of them.
The sand was extremely powdery at Kota Beach Resort & unforgettable for me..

Excellent Stay..

For the price paid don't expect 5 star facilities. I had a good basic room no 7 was quite and everything worked. Close to all the main restaurants walk anywhere. Beach just down the street. Want to go to Bantayan take the Jeep 30P per person 15-20 minutes to main street Bantayan
