The hotel is Located at the city center. Near many restaurants . It is also near the beach. it has aircon and electric fan inside and a small terrace outside. However, there are mosquitoes . The food is not that bad, not so tasty a bit pricey. Staff were not so accomodating, if you won't ask questions.
Generous portions for the most part. Reasonable prices and the location is great. The ambiance is good and the kubos are lovely. The only downside is the flies. You guys really need to get rid of those meddling and annoying flies.
Many foreign tourists, great location near bars, restaurants, and the beach that was not at all crowded. Has a safe but no telephone or mini bar in the room. Breakfast was not included. Good fresh fruit and coconuts on the street nearby.
I visited Bantayan for an open water swim meet and I was looking for a beachfront hotel but all were fully booked so I tried to search for other options and found Coucou. Location - It's not on a beachfront but near enough at approximately 5 minute walk from the beach. It's located at the heart of Sta Fe town so it's just a few meters away from the main restaurant/food square, from convenience stores and minimarket or "talipapa" (where I bought a whole bunch of bananas🙂). It was generally quiet though sometimes I can hear videoke singers at night until around 10PM but not loud enough to disturb so I still had a good sleep. Staff/Service - Contrary to the reviews I've read online, the staff were no snobs but actually smiling and accommodating. They also offer free motorbike/trike ride from and to the port. Room - The room was ok. Basic bed and toiletries. However, the AC wasnt working well in my room as it was cold and then after some time it gets warm. I loved that they have a veranda with a table and chair for each room. Food/Restaurant- They have their own cafe but I havent really tried except for the coffee and pancakes (labeled in the menu as pancakes but are actually crepes. I tried ordering in other restaurants outside but they only have crepes so it seems they dont do pancakes in Bantayan Island🙂). They have great tasting coffee at a very reasonable price. The crepes are just ok. I loved the cafe ambience and the sound surround music in the background (it's where I first heard from the band Machiavel) so sometimes I just order coffee, sit, relax and read a book. Cost - The price is affordable enough considering the location. I just hope though that they would also have some rooms for solo travellers like me. I had a room good for two. Overall, I can say my stay was good.…
Hotel is set out for maintenance. Aircon units are either leaking or lack of a cooling capacity. Door locks untighten and cleaning has been made without use of time and right kind of attention. Restaurant has really delicious food but service is not alike I have been facing upon my 22 visits all around the Philippines from a year 2007. They were not friendly and attentive. Billiard table has been raped and condition belong to a junk yard. Ridiculous rule after ten pm playing should become stop but noisy diesel back up generator will run just opposite our room teracce. Location was great but it didn't help at all raise up my points.
This business offers rooms, bar and restaurant facilities, this review is purely the restaurant. The initial greeting and service was ok, but service wained after that. We had to call the waitress over to take our order, which, incidentally, she managed to get wrong. The food, well 75% of our order arrived, and while ok, it didn't inspire greatly. We had to self serve ourselves for ice cream dessert, and the balance of our food order never arrived. Fortunately the missing items were missing from the bill too. Average restaurant at best and wouldn't bother trying again.
It’s a hotel and a nice restaurant. The restaurant is nice has good ambiance is 8n th endarterectomy of the food district. Good food and prices. Easy to get to and has lot of activities nearby. Safe area
We stayed here for two nights. We told the front desk that the AC in our room is leaking so I was informed that maintainance guy will visit our room but nobody came and it was never rectified. We were travelling with one kid and we were afraid that she will slipped on the floor, they even don't have bath mats. On top of that, the staffs in the restaurant were rude they don't smile. There were 4-5 staffs working in one shift but they didn't bother to check on guests dining in the restaurant. Not to mention one girl said that we are "samok" a bisaya term for annoying. They assumed that we can't comprehend the local language. We only asked for cutleries for Pete's sake because they didn't served us the complete set and we were already starving. The only positive side is the hotel is very near to ATM machine and local restaurants. …
I stayed here for 3 nights with family. The room was OK...i woke up with a sore throat every morning due to the room being very damp. The service at the restaurant was mediocre. One day it took over an hour to receive our lunch when the restaurant was dead...The only positive I can really say is that the hotel was in a prime location; making it convenient to walk to the beach and get picked up for tours.
Stayed there with family for 2 nights. Booked 2 rooms paid for 2000php/room/night (no free breakfast) plus 800php for extra person/bed since rooms are good for 2 persons only and there are 6 of us. The hotel is located near MJ square which is a food hub. It has a bar and restaurant in front which offers great food and gives 10% discount when your booked at their hotel. The restaurant is often jam packed with Filipinos and foreigners dining. It has 10 rooms all standard rooms. With 2 single beds, well maintained, with small tv, separate comfort room and shower(hot and cold) inside and AC. Wifi are not accessible inside the rooms but you can get connected at the veranda. I just hope staffs can be more accomodating and friendly next time. They often forget to smile and greet the guests. Also to give complementary service water😂.…
