After being closed for nearly a year due to Covid restrictions the Hideout at Carl's Island Inn is now open again from Thursday to Sunday serving the best baked Baby Back Ribs served with home made bread and coleslaw, excellent Chicago style pizza and a really good Lentil Vegetable Soup served with Naan Bread Together with a full service cocktail bar the Hideout at Carl's Inn excellent food and great service in their rooftop venue. A must visit in Santa Fe

Visited the Rooftop Hideout and was not disappointed. Laid back atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. The Chicago Pizza was perfect and very tasty. Also had the recommended ribs which were superb. Perfect evening and a perfect host, enjoyed chatting. Will definitely return!

The Hideout rooftop restaurant at Carl's Inn is an American style pizza pasta joint and serves the best baked baby back ribs on the island and the must try Chicago Pie deep dish pizza at very reasonable prices. A must visit when staying in Santa Fe

Nice place with friendly owners doing their best to keep you happy... when it rained, they provided umbrellas... when off to the market, they provided a tote... when needing water, they provided it free of charge along with the use of a metal bottle... when needing to do laundry, they provided the bucket and the drying racks... A free transfer gets you to and from the ferry port, as well as into town. Breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable.

Stayed at Carl's Island Inn in late January with my wife and our 3-year old daughter. From check-in we already knew this place was going to be special. We were greeted by the owners, Rose & Carsten, given a cool drink and started one of many awesome conversations over the next week on Bantayan Island. The giyrl is great - rooms and hotel property are discuss and really nicely designed with lots of attention to detail. Location is great - across the road from an amazing beach (5 min walk and you're swimming in turquoise waters). The breakfast is awesome (try the American) and the drinks are cold. But the best part is really Rose & Carsten, who looked after us during our entire visit and made the stay absolutely fantastic. Thanks guys - we'll be back!

Exceptional room, good wifi, good a/c. Super clean. Good back up generator system when power goes down. Stopped for 2 nights, ended up staying for 6 nights. Nothing too much trouble for Carsten, Rose and their happy team. Breakfast options spot on too . Peaceful environment and good location. If only everywhere was on top of their game like they are at Carl's Island Inn. Cheers!

Loved staying at Carl’s. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for Carsten or his fantastic team. Been a while since I stayed somewhere where so much thought has been given to some simple things - for instance the blackboard in the bar that lists all the ferry times. Simple but helpful. Carsten himself is top company, especially for an early evening 80s pop quiz! Lovely relaxed atmosphere in pleasant surroundings. I wish you all the best for the future and if I return to Bantayan I know where I will be staying.

Have police report had to return home early change of ticket cost me $430.As I was only one to access safety box with code I opened safety box to change US$ only to find around half my money stolen.Could only have been opened with the key held by staff.Terrible situation no compensation from Carl or Rose just denied everything.Carl went on short holiday leaving someone else to look after resort during this time on the following morning December 20th 2019 when i opened my safety box around half my funds were missing.Thank God they left me some money probably thought too obvious if they took it all.I had stayed at this resort previously without incident however one time Carl opened my safety box himself as I was changing rooms and as the new guest had arrived earlier than expected and checked into my old room Carl opened my safety box and then placed my valuables in the safety box of my new room.I thought this was unacceptable at the time though as it had already been done and nothing missing I didnt worry.Again I was the only one to have access to the code to open the safety box the only other way to open the safety box was with the key held by the staff at that time whilst the Boss and family were away. It is the only way my money could have been taken! I have travel insurance though they will only cover a portion of my loss I love Bantayan Island just dont know whom I can trust anymore lloyd9@hotmail.com.…

We are very sorry that you lost your money. We called the police immediately after the incident to help you and to clear the situation. The police couldn't find any trace of a crime and now you are pointing to us for taking your money. We also would never touch a safety box of a guest without authorization. I don't know why you made up this story. You didn't mention also that you were not alone in that room. Then you asked for a free stay in the room for the following days. We can't give free accommodation to everybody who lost money. You also got a discount and we paid your motorbike rent. Again, we feet very sorry for your loss and the whole situation. But we are protecting our guest instead of stealing from them.

If you visit Bantayan Island you have to stay at Carl’s. Rooms are cozy but really nice and smells amazing. We got a pickup from port from one of the employees. After arriving, they gave us welcome drinks. Prices on the bar are reasonable. Carl is one super dude, he even told us we can serve our drinks by ourselves after closing the bar. You can find drinking water next to the room always refilled. Breakfast was fantastic and big. This is how all accommodations looks like. Very friendly stuff together with Carl and his wife. Memorable stay. Thank you for hospitality.

Lovely, cosy completely new place. Opened in Jan 2019 run by German/Filipino owners. Stayed one night in Kota Beach resort, then moved to Carl‘s. Although it is not located at the beach (3 mins) it is just best value in St. Fee. I walked in several resorts along the beach, checked available rooms. But none is as new and comfortable as Carl‘s. Nice bar, clean & huge rooms, nice bathrooms. If you’re looking for a room featuring intern. Standards (TV, fridge, etc) that‘s the place to book. Shouldn‘t miss the breakfast on the rooftop Owners/staff providing all kind of support (transport, info abt best beaches, restaurants etc.) you need for a perfect vacation on the island.
