We spent 4 nights at this beautiful beach resort. It was very quiet and there were almost never people around / on the private beach, even though they told us they were fully booked.
The staff was very nice and accommodating. The rooms were small but clean. We were able to rent a motorbike from the hotel to get around the island, which I'd highly recommend.
Definitely would stay here again!

The place is quite which is perfect. We had a smooth check in and the staff were so accomodating. We had lunch while waiting for the room.. food was good.. but honestly it was bit too salty. Room is nice and clean. Beach front is quite that time we were there. If u want a peace of mind the place is perfect..

May service na pwedeng magsundo and maghatid sa port. Beachfront which we super looove. 5-minute tricycle ride to/from MJ Square. The only con is sobrang kulang ng outlet… wala sa bedside. So better bring your own extension cord na lang :)

Pero for the price naman, okay na sya for us since beachfront sya as mentioned earlier. Sana lang may outlet malapit sa bed :)

My 7 year old son was bitten by a dog two times larger his size in this resort and the owner of the resort did not even come forward to apologise.

Now my son is undergoing treatment in the hospitals and clinics all over Philippines. He is screaming in pain everytime undergoing the anti-rabies and anti-tetanus injection.
This resort is not safe for children, guests and even for its’ own staffs. Do not stay there.

The resort is nice but the staff at the front desk is not friendly.. mataray parang ayaw pa sturbo sa kakanuod ng movie sa cellphone niya.. parang nakaka abala pa ako sa kanya.

Sa bar naman, their server and bartender are kind.. maliban lang talaga don sa frontdesk nila na babae.. nakaka imberna..

I opted for this hotel / resort again because of reviews here in TA and other booking sites. For the price , some things can be improved.
1. We got 2 family rooms and 1 deluxe room , when we checked in the front office lady was initially insistent I get an extra bed since we were nine so I had to reiterate that I booked for 3 rooms , that was the only time she checked the computer monitor right in front of her and confirmed , yes we booked for 3 rooms no need for an extra bed.
2. We had our lunch in the resorts restaurant , food was good specially the sizzling squid, and lechon kawali ,the service crew even volunteered to fan away the flies that were all over the place as we were eating, plus plus points for customer service ( sorry I didnt get her name)
3. Downside food was really PRICEY including the botlled water, the only reason we ate there as soon as we settled down was because it was nearly 3 pm and we havent had our lunch yet.
4. They have a shuttle service that picks you up and drops you off in the port. Thank you for this convenience. However as an added convenient service maybe you can allow your guests to be driven around town also with this not just for pick up and drop off. You may even choose to charge additional for its use. The whole time it was just parked there anyway
5. As for our deluxe room it was new, the bed was comfortable unfortunately for the size of the room the airconditioner was small hence did not provide the much needed cooling of the room ( room 20)
6. No water pressure , hence your usual 10-15 mins shower will take you about 45 mins to finish to get the shampoo and soap rinsed off your hair and body completely
7. My adult kids complained that their toilets ( room 3 and 4) did not have bidets
8. Internet connection is only in the restaurant , intermittent in the rooms ( in this day and age I'd like to think Internet connectivity is a must provided by resort / hotel owners)
9. This one I hope the owners take up with their kitchen staff. We arrived May 10 , since it took awhile for our ordered food to be served when we came in we figured we should already order in advance for our breakfast since we had a scheduled tour the following day. I asked and confirmed with their resto crew if this was possible and they said YES, so we placed our orders for breakfast at 8pm that night and asked if it can be served at 7:15AM the following day to which again they agreed on.
Unfortunately, the following morning as I walked up the resto at 7:15 and asked if the food is ready , they said NO and when told that we have made arrangements for it to be served at a certain time since the night before , the lady who mans the kitchen ( I think she is the "chef') flatly said it was impossible to do that since the AM shift reports for work at 7am . We could have been informed of this by the previous days staff. Then also, unfortunately the Fried bangus of which we ordered 5 only had 3 available 1 Tocino we can get and the rest will all have to be beef tapa. JUst to calm our nerves as it was still early , we agreed to the beef tapa replacement instead. My point here being , the resorts restaurant staff should be well aware of what is available or not, there should be some sort of coordination at least between the kitchen staff and those serving. Dont make commitments that cant be delivered.
10. All in all , if you want some peace and quiet you may opt for this resort, again for the price better service could have been provided.
*** Plus points resort is gated , hence there is a sense of safety and security.
The resort grounds are clean and so is the waterfront.

Start it of with service. Service at this resort is so bad. It is understaffed. No one is there to assist you. We ate at their restaurant there wasn’t even a server to help you with your needs. It is D.I.Y . Food was also disgusting. Mosquitoes were everywhere. Rooms? Don’t expect what you see in the pictures it is totally different. Rooms had an foul odor same goes with their toilet. Dingy and just plain out smelled like urine. Pool was also crammed you cant even swim or relax to this resort. The beach itself is black sand not white so don’t be fooled. The overall experience at this resort is so bad that standards to this resort failed with my perspective. Don’t waste your time or money coming here.

Friendly staff, good rooms, clean.
Good bedding, nice towels, showers and bathroom is also ok (but nothing special - as is this case in pretty much all of the Philippines)
Right next to a beautiful white sand beach with great deck chairs to lay out on.

Beachfront bar on site.
Good food in restaurant (although the waitress did get our order wrong every day frustratingly) - still loved it.

La Playa is one of the best beaches to stay in Bantayan island. They cater couples who are having a vacation or groups that are having their group outing. The beach front has wide and beautiful view. You save a lot by just staying in the resort. They serve budget meals with drinks. They also cater bike rentals if you need to go around the island.

My friends and I stay in La Playa every year and we never encounter any problem. their rooms are spacious enough. The staff are very welcoming. They could do anything to make your stay pleasant. Looking to visit and stay their soon. Best experience ever! See you soon La Playa!

You may bring your owned cook food and eat it. You may even ask the restaurant to have it reheated. However there is a certain fee for reheating. If you want some grilled food, you may go to the plaza area. There is a restaurant there that will cook your food. It is like our seaside in restaurants in Pasay. You will purchase the main ingredient and they will cook it for you for a fee. You should try the scallops, it is definitely cheap there.
