Both Kota and Anika Resort were fully booked due to Valentine's weekend. There were a few options that pop-up, but after reading a few reviews here on Tripadvisor about Sunshine Garden, I went ahead and booked it through Hotels.com Upon arrival, we were greeted immediately by owner, Loraine and her amazing staff. Loraine even provided us a welcome freshly brewed, ice tea. Check-in was easy, and I had two rooms booked, but Loraine only asked for one room down payment. Sunshine Garden is located about a 10-minute walk to the beach, and about a 20 minute walk into town where all the festivities are including local eateries. Very centrally located. Sunshine Garden also provides rental for scooters in house, a full served homemade breakfast. Loraine also cooks bread fresh daily which was delicious. There are about 11 rooms total in this resort. We were on the second floor, with a full balcony at back with a glimpse view of the ocean. I chuckled as I also had a few of a water buffalo and chickens. What a treat! My aunt who joined us was downstairs and she had 3 beds (really huge room), and a beautiful front porch with a table and 2 chairs which we took advantage of nightly. They have a cute gazebo with full dining table and chairs for breakfast or hanging out, including a hammock. They also provided a few books for reading, and a fantastic cat that roams the property and says hello to everyone. There is also an elder dog and apologies that I did not get the name but was also fun to watch roaming. I brought my own coffee and coffee press so you can request hot water thermos that surprisingly, lasted very hot for a full 24 hours. Bathroom and toilet are separate, bedrooms are nice and comfy. There are no phones in the room or TV, but there is a guard 24/7 after evening and the owner Loraine lives on site the property should you need additional amenities. I think the best treat staying at Sunshine Bantayan Garden Resort is the coziness and peacefulness. It is easy access to everything in town like the beach, restaurants and grocery stores, but I think the hidden gem here is their garden. It's like taking a walk in a nature park. So peaceful and very quiet at night. I would return here again when I visit Bantayan Island. Cheers!…

We initially booked to stay here for 3 nights. Great location, a short walk from the centre of Santa Fe. Beautiful gardens and lovely, well equipped rooms. Rooms were very clean and tidy. We ended up having to stay an extra 2 nights due to being stuck on the island as all ferries were cancelled due to the typhoon. Staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Contacting the ferry terminals for us, arranging transport - nothing was too much trouble for them. Would highly recommend staying here! Thanks for looking after us so well!

Spent two nights at Sunshine Bantayan,very quiet & peaceful area apart from building construction at the adjacent premises taking place at the time of our stay. Clean rooms & nicely laid out garden.5 minute walk to the beach.Very impressed with the breakfast although this wasn't free with booking conditions. Exceptional staff.No hesitation in staying here should I return.

Amazing place to stay in if you are looking for a quiet place with beautiful ambience. Rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. Would highly suggest renting a aircon room for better experience. They also have pet cats and dogs that are friendly to people. 10/10.

This is a lovely property owned by a wonderful family. A charming garden greets the visitors. Although the layout of the garden could still be improved. The main building has 14 splendid rooms. We stayed in a budget room with a fan. The room was very spacious, a family of 5 could easily fit in it. Every square inch of the room was ultra clean. It has also a separate toilet and shower room. The bed was comfortable and I slept soundly like a baby. I just had a minor problem about the sink's drainage and the weird smell of concrete but I managed to bring an Ambi-pur room freshener. Finally, one thing that this resort has is a very courteous and friendly staff. I highly recommend this place for solo, couple, and family visitors to Santa Fe.

I spend 4 nights at this resort and i would recommend it. Clean nice room with private toilet and shower. Terace with nice view. Very close to the sugar beach. Quiet location and close to the center of Santa Fe.

We have now stayed at this resort on 4 occasions and it's beautiful so peaceful. The Staff. Staff are brilliant always smiling. Food . Excellent. Property. Fantastic they recently opened 6 more rooms all to a high standard and very very clean.The gardens are very well maintained and tidy the rooms are of a very good size with separate bathroom and toilet. On request they will put a fridge in your room an fill it with beer happy days .The A.C. is brilliant unlike some .The Sunshine Bantayan is simply a fantastic place to stay we will be back there in May ....You will love it as much as we do ......

It’s an owner’s personalized operated small lodging facility!! Completely a different ambience. It’s either you will like it or you won’t. Thpically like a little barangay village house in the older days. No tv. Nothing fancy Small toilet but clean. You can request the owner to cook Bbq for you;)
