I stayed two nights at hotel Leo and enjoyed my stay very much. I had a nice good size modern room with a nice bathroom with a shower, no bath. Basic amenities of soap & shampoo. The room had air conditioning. The restaurant was pleasant and I felt at ease despite being solo. There’s a television on in the dining room which is typical in Spain. The menu is only in Spanish. Food was good and half board is available with either wine or water included. Breakfast is simple. There is an attractive outdoor bar area overlooking the large car park and a view over the main road out of town. It’s about a ten minute walk if you want to visit the old town of Monesterio along the pavement the hotel overlooks and the tourist office is the opposite end of town. There is a Ham museum adjoining the tourist office.

We loved it. We got it for a reasonable price. Staff lovely, room clean and quite a buzz around the place because loads of locals use it. The food was good too. Really enjoyed sitting outside watching the world go by. Food not too expensive and the Iberian pork cheek stew is to be recommended

Parked below at free Motorhome campsite so went for Menu del Dia. Delightful setting have seen worse at alleged 5* hostelries. They.printed out the all-Spanish menu for us so we could translate. 9.50€pp so VFM but pretty bland fare; hence the 3*. Staff were attentive. Had far worse.

We stayed one night driving through Spain. The location is convenient. The food is average, but the place is inexpensive. WiFi was not working, we were told a story about a storm we never saw. Unfortunately the place is open 24 hours a day and the staff is quite noisy in the early morning.

Hotel Leo is a service area stop on the Extremadura dual carriageway, (Ruta de la Plata) I have passed this before but never had the occasion to stop overnight. We did so on our last trip to Portugal. rooms very spacious and clean with the added advantage that they have a lockup garage for hotel residents underground. Thus you can leave your main luggage in the vehicle and just take your overnight bag. There is a restaurant and cafeteria, the restaurant has opening times and would advise to stick to the menu of the day, good food at very reasonable prices.

A great little hotel on the Northern outskirts of town. Friendly staff, a well stocked bar and meals available. Maxi the barman speaks good English and helped with directions etc. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. The price of €20 for one night's accommodation was very reasonable.
