This resort is phenomenal! The grounds are so beautiful. Everyone complains about the food- but no complaints from this family. Sea grapes was delicious for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The prices throughout the resort are to be expected. Only minor thing was there are no super good desserts and not a lot of snacks. If you go in knowing this, then you can plan ahead. Also good to know there are no laundry facilities on site- if you need laundry done, they charge by the item and it gets sent out and brought back. There are so many things to do on the resort grounds, you will not be bored! The pool and beach area are beautiful and so much fun for the entire family! All of the staff we interacted with were so friendly and helpful!

Love the resort. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Nice rooms and public areas. Dining options adequate. Paros great for dinner. Seagrapes good for lunch. Nice pool area. Dinner at the Beach Club ok.

We chose this hotel as my sister and her family loved it there on a trip last year. Unfortunately, this was not our experience this year. I rate my experience on the hotel itself and the food service as one category and the staff as another. The room itself was beautiful, and extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable. A couple of bathrobes were showing signs of wear and were not as bright white as the others, as were some of the towels. The staff were exceptional from the groundskeepers, restaurant workers, and the pool service--to name a few, Jesus, Yolando, Michael, Chris, and Karina, who made up our chairs almost every day. There were many staff members, but I forget their names. They were very accommodating and willing to go out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. There were always plenty of chairs/umbrellas at the pool, which was a plus. Room Service One morning we ordered room service for breakfast. My Eggs Benedict arrived without the Hollandaise sauce. I called to tell them this, and instead of replacing the whole breakfast they brought me up two small services of the sauce, which were also cold to the touch. Because I was hungry, I ate the cold poached egg and cold Hollandaise sauce. My sister and her friend just wanted to eat and not wait, so they ate cold oatmeal. Very, very disappointing. I did report it to the staff upon departure. Grounds The grounds are beautifully manicured and are constantly being maintained. The one recommendation I have is to increase lighting in the walkways. We were staying in Room 221 and the walk to/from the restaurants was dangerous due to the lack of lighting. Restaurants My sister assured me that the food was exceptional in December 2022; but, in November 2023, I have to disagree. The food was mediocre at best. The only exceptions to this were the sweet potato fries, their Wagyu cheeseburger, the avocado toast, and the smoked salmon at breakfast -- oh, and their coffee was delicious as well. Our scrambled eggs at Seagrapes were cold on two separate occasions, and the toast was barely toasted. Food was extremely slow to arrive at both Seagrapes and Paros. This negative experience is not uncommon, as I was told when I checked out. Apparently, they have a new executive check coming. Perhaps he will be able to turn things around. As it stands right now, I would never go back to the St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort.

Disappointing doesn’t cut it. Save your money and go to the Dorado Ritz, this is a couple notches below, and then some The highlight; the service! Everyone is so nice and attentive. Seriously very kind people, but I’m not paying $2,000 a night for that. The rooms are good, just good. Again, paid $2,000 a night and some of our light switches don’t work, mold in the bathroom, someone else’s hair in the bathtub and chairs. But otherwise, turndown is great and the beds are super comfy. The biggest concern here is the food and the overall price for what you get. Overpriced “golf club” food is what you get for 3x the price. I’m talking average burgers for $32, fish tacos for $36 and oysters for $60+. Nothing to write home about. As others have mentioned here the breakfast was appalling, birds literally pooping all over the tables as you’re eating your $30+ dollar omelet. It’s disgusting and no one seems to care. The amenities are subpar for an extra $100/night. The pool chairs are hard and uncomfortable, trash was seen floating in the pools and the lights leading you to the walkway were laid over and nonfunctional. Overall, the property is in disarray, the food is a step up from a dive bar and the prices are astronomical. The only 5 star-quality part of this experience was just how genuinely nice the staff is.

This hotel is easily top 3 resorts I've ever stayed in, maybe even #1 overall. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the amazing staff and shown around the property. It truly felt like a luxury retreat. The design of the hotel is fantastic; I loved the wooded walkways through the jungle-like atmosphere. The pool and beach were great too. I received a generous suite upgrade due to my Gold status and the room and views were wonderful. The hotel did a great job of anticipating my needs. I also found the food to be very good. I was concerned based on some of the other reviews I read but I really have no complaints at all. Maybe a little more variety would have been nice, but overall the food was very good. We ate at the Beach Club, Sea Grapes, and Paros each for 1 night. While very expensive, I did think the Paros food and service was high quality. The hotel was really a memorable experience. It's hard to find anything wrong with this property. 10/10 I would return again.

We had the most amazing experience at this hotel. The service was amazing. The grounds are gorgeous. It was a luxury getaway, well worth every dollar. We were so impressed with the people who cared for us throughout the stay. Dianaliz was amazing to us. She helped us with so many things, and was always so lovely and pleasant. Our beach and poolside server. She was amazing too. Unfortunately I can’t remember her name as we sit here. Highly recommend this resort. Clearly the best resort on the island. Apparently their sister property of the Ritz Carlton Dorado Beach may come close, but after close inspection, I realized that there really wasn’t a Beach. It was a carved out little area of a beach pool which is not what we were looking for. Plus this property is so huge. There are three golf courses and the beach front is amazing.

Gorgeous property. Breakfast was delicious but it was the only meal worth eating on property. The other meals were overpriced and were not good. The good was too salty and tasted like frozen meals. I would rent a car and get your meals off property.

This is my 3rd stay at the resort and I am never disappointed. The room are amazing and the customer service is second to none. I find the resort to be an excellent play to decompress as it is buried in the rainforest and incredibly quiet. Although I don’t need a butler, the butler is always accommodating to every need. I look forward to a future stay.

St. Regis Bahia Beach is located in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Once you enter this paradise location, you don’t have to leave. You will enjoy a private beach, tropical and lush gardens, pristine swimming pools, cabanas, restaurants, room service and a Spa. I begin my review by acknowledging our Butler, Ms. Dianeliz Jimenez. I don’t need a Butler… however, Dianeliz ensured that our expectations were exceeded from day one. Her professional and kind personality made us feel welcomed. She walked the premises just to look for us to ask how are day was going, and how she could make it better. Her customer service is commendable. The morning French Press Coffee delivered on time, hot and fresh—we do not function without it. As if this was not enough, kind notes left in our bedrooms and tokens of appreciation. Ms. Jimenez is the only reason we are rating St. Regis Bahia Beach at the five-star level despite a hiccup. While St. Regis is truly deserving of this rating, I must share a big disappointment during our stay. We played golf twice in one week; on the first day of golf, our Butler, Oscar, disregarded out multiple requests for pick up. We ended up walking to the hotel, in the rain… My spouse spoke to him directly and he assured us that he would send someone to pick us up. The golf cart never arrived. We walked to Casa Grande just to find Oscar having casual conversation with other employees. Needless to say, we introduced ourselves as the couple he left behind. Dianeliz would have never allowed this to happen—she runs circles around Oscar. Oscar… did we mention Platinum Elite? Would that have made a difference because everyone should be treated with respect regardless of loyalty to the brand. A shout-out to Hector from the restaurant who remembered us and quickly approached us to say hello. We visited before the Pandemic and he recognized us! Hector, we are now friends! Thank you for your kindness and excellent service. So glad to see you are still there; you are an example for others to follow. A shout-out to housekeeping for always ensuring I had extra cookies! Your hard work does not go unnoticed. We strongly advise you refrain from the Beach Club Restaurant… our Churrasco Steak was overly priced, undercooked and the coffee was served on a plate of ants!!! I can only imagine what their kitchen must look like. The management sat around and discussed business in front of customers… please don’t… I am trying to relax and don’t need to learn about your menus and staffing issues, and Yes, I speak Spanish fluently. This restaurant isn’t managed by Bahia Beach…they are located at the golf course. The golf course is AMAZING! We highly recommend Bahia Beach to all who want to escape to paradise.
