Pleasantly surprised. A well maintained modern chalet. All new features and décor. Beautifully decorated. Lovely cool aircon. A little piece of paradise in a hot, dry area. Lovely hosts. Thankyou Robert for your hospitality. Would highly recommend this lovely special chalet. Would stay there definitely again. Very reasonably priced. 5 star accommodation so my sons say. Self contained with everything you need and more.

We absolutely fell in love with this wonderful chalet. We chose this property based on previous reviews as it looked perfect as part of our 5 week tour around Oz. The chalet is set in 20 acres so you definitely feel part of the Woodlands. From the moment we arrived we knew we’d made the right choice. The genuine welcome from our hosts, Robert and Jill, set the tone for our 3 night stay. Warm and naturally friendly folk who helped us with our plans and we really enjoyed chatting to. The chalet was spotlessly clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Thoughtful items such as cereal and milk were also waiting us which we didn’t expect. Insect repellent was also available(a first on our extensive travels!). We used the BBQ and sat on the terrace listening to the birds and insects in the evening - it was simply idyllic. There’s lots of storage in the large spacious bedroom and a very comfy large bed. We wish we’d spent more time in this beautiful place so we’ll definitely return! …

Coming from the UK I was a little taken aback to see how secluded the chalets were, but once I was inside the accommodation I couldn't believe how modern and clean it was. It had a lovely full kitchen and living room and a separate bedroom and bathroom. Outside on the veranda there was seating to sit out and watch the wildlife or you could go walking in the woods. The owners made sure we had everything we needed including breakfast which was bought to us daily. Nearby was a wonderful tavern and the equally special Berry Springs Park with it's swimming lake. Lovely stay highly recommended.

This was a lovely fully self contained spacious place to stay, set right back off a main road, this accommodation is VERY well kept and the host are lovely and helpful. If staying in Darwin and you want to go to the waterfalls, this is a must destination - so much cheaper than the city accommodation, in the nature, noise free - FRESH AIR , closer to the falls.....Near Darwin River Dam and Berri Springs and the fantastic food at Litchfield pub.

We visited in October for four nights and stayed in the one bedroom apartment. Robert was a fantastic host and has really thought of everything - from the simple, modern amenities and decor in the apartment to the little breakfast boxes delivered each afternoon for the next morning. The apartment was spotlessly clean and lovely and cool thanks to great air-conditioning - we were always very comfortable. The apartment includes a good little kitchen including a full-sized fridge, so you have the facilities you need if you want to eat in. The queen sized bed was really comfortable and it was nice to have a separate bedroom - a good reason to book the one bedroom over the studio apartments. Just down the road is the local Litchfield pub, which was good value, and also a general store. Berry Springs Tavern is only a short drive and well worth a visit. There is also an IGA supermarket there if you need more supplies. Unfortunately the Berry Springs Nature Reserve was closed for swimming when we visited. Favourite part of the whole stay at Chalet on Woodlands was probably meeting Dusky the dog - if you're a dog lover, you will adore her. Will definitely be back when visiting family again in the future - a great find.…

Without a doubt one of the most comfortable and well appointed cabins we have ever stayed in. Robert and Jill have thought of everything to make your holiday more enjoyable. They have 3 cabins which they serviced daily. Our one bedroom cabin was spacious and inviting, with a lovely verandah to sit outside and relax. No request was too much. As we where staying there for a month we had bought along a portable washing machine to do our washing. Robert was happy for us to use it and even supplied us with a hose for our use. He was even gracious enough to give us an extension lead to run our engel fridge from our car. Their dog, Dusty was just beautiful..she loved her Shmackos, which she buried more than ate. Close to the Berry Springs Nature Park and The Berry Springs Tavern, the cabins location is great. We've booked again for another month next year...can't wait to go back. Thanks Rob and Jill for making us feel so welcome...x…

We found this accomodation quite by accident. Situated a short drive from Darwin, it is close to Humpty Doo, Batchelor, Litchfield National Park, Berry Springs Nature Park and Wildlife Sanctuary. Robert and Jill, (and furry friend Justine) were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Nothing was a trouble for them. The chalets are modern, clean and roomy. We found we needed to keep our blinds down during the day on the western side, due to a buildup of heat. Air conditioner units and fans helped keep us comfortable. Large beach towels are also supplied so you can make the most of the many waterholes, beaches and springs which abound in this general area. Self catering is welcomed, with basic supplies like foil, cling wrap, salt and pepper, insect sprays and mosquito coils, all included in the well stocked units. There are two pubs close by where substantial and well priced meals are available. Abundant bird life and native flora surrounds the chalets. A great place to unwind and enjoy the sounds of nature on your doorstep. Highly recommended.…

Robert and Jill were very welcoming, friendly and generous with great knowledge on the area and places to visit. Rooms were newly refurbished, modern, clean and beds were super comfy. It was great just waking up to the serenity of the surrounding bushlands and the peace and quiet.

We enjoyed three nights at Chalets on Woodlands. It has three separate chalets which are very modern, clean and comfortable. The bush setting provides for quiet nights and good sleep. The cooking facilities are excellent. Robert and Jill were excellent hosts and we followed their advice as to where to go and we were rewarded with a lovely and un-crowded local waterfall and rock pool as well good advice as to how to get the best out of Litchfield Park. There is no wifi but we had good mobile phone reception.
