We spent 5 days and nights at the Delfino Resort & Spa, all inclusive booked through Easyjet. The resort exceeded my expectations and the staff truly cannot do enough for you, and always with a smile on their faces. The 3 pools were lovely- one adults only which was nice and peaceful, a heated pool (outdoors) and another below this one. There were also 3 bars to pick from, all with lovely drinks/cocktails and fantastic staff. The private beach was also clean and with plenty of sun loungers. This being my first all inclusive I was a little hesitant on having a buffet restaurant but I was really impressed at the selection and quality of the food- and was pleasantly surprised that there were chefs at stations preparing food throughout breakfast/lunch/dinner which I thought was a nice touch. We stayed in a first floor newly refurbished room which was really lovely with a huge walk in shower and very modern bathroom, which was cleaned everyday with fresh sheets and towels.

A special mention to the entertainment/animation team who work so hard to entertain guests throughout the day and night with shows and activities throughout the day, but you never feel pressured to take part.

The only (small) criticisms of the place would be that there is a limited selection of cocktails available, but this is offset with many other drinks available (wines, beers, spirits) on the all inclusive.

Additionally, when dining and having drinks outside flies can be a nuisance but I don’t think the hotel could do anything about that, given the climate and proximity to the beach. When at the beach wasps are also a nuisance and make themselves at home but again, this isn’t the hotels fault. It should be noted that wasps are less inclined to hang around you/ your drinks if you have a drink with no sugar in, I.e. a Coke Zero.

Tips go a long way for the staff, and I’m sure my service would have still been excellent without tipping, but I would highly recommend tipping the staff throughout the holiday as it ensures service with a smile and I’m sure means a lot to them.

If you are British, and don’t want to be surrounded by Brits, then I would really recommend this place as the majority of guests appeared to Germans, French or Italians. This being said, you will not struggle speaking English as the staff all speak multiple languages, truly impressive seeing them switch languages instantaneously!

Overall, we had a fantastic few days at this hotel and I would love to return one day.

Thank you to all the staff again.

We booked the hotel direct on the website. Doing this meant we had more choice of accommodation and were able to save money on having our (2) >12 year old as inclusive, with no alcohol. If you book via someone like booking.com or TUI, these options are not available. The email communication with the hotel was 5*.

We also booked a taxi from the airport to the hotel with Delfino. It was ÂŁ50 each way and is a must. The driver was there on our arrival and we had a smooth and spacious transfer (<1hr), which meant we got to the hotel before dinner finished. TUI customers on the other hand had a shared coach transfer and arrived a number of hours after us.

What really attracted us to the hotel was the space and no mention of "sunbed wars". We easily found space on the beach or near the pool, after a late breakfast.
The beach was the highlight for us. Lovely big parasols for shade, a sandy beach and warm, clear waters. The security team on the beach are friendly and make sure that the beach sellers are not allowed to come up to the sun loungers, so you are not pestered.
We used the Catamaran once (ÂŁ80ph) and would have more frequently if the price was cheaper. The boats were in very good condition.
There are public beaches either side, with lots of local families who come to enjoy the water, mainly after work.
Within walking distance you can find a cash machine and a few shops. We took a taxi into Nabeul for about 10dinar, where there is a larger market with lots of trainers.
The entire staff - waiters, cleaners, reception, gardeners and entertainment team were friendly and welcoming.
We went for 8 days and there was plenty of variation of food - stews, fish, meat, that the meals did not feel repetitive.
The hotel has a nice vibe, as it is spacious and there was a real mix of German, Spanish, Italian, Tunisian and British.
Thank you Delfino for all your hard work and a lovely holiday.

At the end of a lovely time at the delfino. Highlight of the stay was Malek at the pool bar who we became good friends with. Animation team are very enthusiastic with several shows during the week and other entertainment. All staff couldn't do enough for you. The lady that cleaned our room left flowers for our wedding anniversary and was always welcoming in the morning. The hotel has a lovely private beach with lunch served at the beach resteraunt several times during the week. Room was clean with good air conditioning so we slept well. Only downside was the lack of information on arrival about the hotel. Malek was more than happy to help us when lunch was on the beach etc. Pools are really clean with 4 available and there are plenty of loungers on site. The good thing about the hotel is the free water which was always available. Got to give praise to all the staff at the hotel they work very hard to make you're stay the best possible.

Really liked this hotel. Food cannot be faulted - was plentiful and of a good standard.
However a large percentage of male staff were sleezy towards females (lifeguard/photographer/entertainment/restaurant/bar staff). Also found staff in main restaurant would only get you a clean table & drinks if a man was with you, otherwise you were left to sort yourself out (this happened quite a few times when we went for breakfast/dinner without my partner). Same treatment at the pool bar!
Male entertainment staff clearly could not be bothered during the day & were unenthusiastic majority of the time esp with archery.
Felt uncomfortable a lot of the time with male staff leering then making comments among themselves & laughing, especially towards my 15 year old daughter (who looks about 18/19).
Evening entertainment was by the same onsite entertainment staff, and although their dancing was brilliant you soon get bored of them miming to songs & dancing at every show.
I did not feel at ease outside the hotel area even on the beach if you ventured outside your hotel area you found yourself the subject of unwanted male attention, asking for photos/facebook details etc & quite a few people sleeping rough.
Also you will get pestered to buy nuts/fruit/souvenirs at extortionate prices by chancers who are not supposed to be allowed on the hotel's section of the beach.
Onsite sales people (quads, trips etc) became a real nuisance also.

I have also stayed at a sister hotel in Hammamet 2 months prior (Phenicia) & the staff were much nicer, more attentive and the night time entertainment was better. However the food was not to the standard of Delfino & there were 2 x 1 hour seatings at dinner time which was like a cattle market - total disaster!

Summary: Tunisia is excellent value for money (summer 2019)
Beware of unwanted male attention & poor attitude towards women.

We booked Tunisia on the basis of advice from the travel agent. We were advised that as a holiday destination they’re trying really hard to welcome tourists with a “can’t do enough for you” attitude.
Delfino appeared to be very good value for money, and to be fair the price we paid for all 6 of us all-inc was good value. As a resort I think you could do a lot worse, staff were friendly but some of the sales people were wayyyyyy to pushy. I had to venture off outside the resort to get cash as the machine on site was faulty. The streets are not what I would class as family friendly and can be quite intimidating.
Also, be aware the hospital would only accept cash when our needed stitches to his head, they would not accept card payment at all - so ensure you have access to money should you need a health emergency to be handled!
Food was ok, but samey I suppose but then these all-inc places often are like that.

Yasmine at the reception was fantastic and extremely helpful.
Mokhtar at the bar was very nice and made a great effort.
Fathi (but he's slim haha((his joke, not mine)) works very hard to make guests happy and keep everything running smoothly.
Most of the service/animation staff were great and made a real difference to our stay.
The actual manager is rude and gives the impression that, unless you're spending lots of money or anything but English, he is not interested in giving you a good experience.
The beds are very firm but in general, the room was a good size with all the relevant facilities.
Cleaners in the main building go above and beyond to decorate and clean the rooms.
Beach was lovely but unfortunately during our stay there was a lot of ongoing works during the second week with loud machinery throughout the day. Sometimes starting early and finishing late which ruined the atmosphere.
Food is repetitive with the same choices for lunch and dinner everyday with only very slight variation. I would advise caution when eating the meat too. We were served RAW MEAT on 2 separate occasions!
Yasmine on the reception did give us a very good restaurant recommendation though in the city :)
The massages at the spa were good.
Although the holiday started off relaxing and enjoyable, the subsequent works carried out around the hotel, along with the limited food choices and loud weekend guests took the shine off of it for us.
On another note, our TUI rep Nidhal was awesome too if you're looking at booking this hotel as part of a package.

We stayed for a week in early May and didn't pay a lot of money as such our expectations were not set high, however our expectations were exceeded and I can honestly say I wish we had booked for longer.
Our Room was spacious with with a large walk in shower, we were on the second floor with a full sea view (amazing view) overlooking the adult pool.
Food was exceptional i really cant understand the bad reviews that i have read previously, there were no flies on food as some have stated, the food was hot and constantly replenished well seasoned and very flavorsome with lots of choice, it wasn't repetitive, yes if you wanted chips and pizza every night you could however there was so much other choices. I would say it was one of the best we have been to for all inclusive, the wait staff are exceptional and you get a bottle of wine not by the glass like other AI's which we found to be a nice touch.
The hotel has 4 pools one indoor and 3 outdoor (one heated like a bath) so you have lots of options and no sunbed wars during our stay which we loved.
There are 3 bars pool bar, lobby bar and beech bar and staff are constantly walking around collecting glasses etc and asking if you would like a drink.
Animation team are good but the shows were not for us we liked to sit at the bar chatting and meeting people but they animation team are very engaging they really do love their jobs all off them. Shout out to Monty and Billy who are great lads and and always wanted to make sure we were happy and having a laugh. They have lots of activities from volley ball, tennis, football, archery they really do go above and beyond.
The hotel is spotless the cleaning staff are amazing and clean room daily they never stop and this includes the cleaning staff around the resort as well everywhere is clean free from litter and they are a real credit to the hotel.
Management are superb from the moment you check in they want you to be happy and are always happy, in fact every member of staff always engaged with the guests.
Would I stop here again yes, would I recommend staying here to anyone hell yes, you wont regret it.

We arrived 4 days ago and are already planning to return next year. We were greeted at reception by Mohammed & what a joy it was. He checked us in quickly and provided us with a cold beer and a cheeky vodka. The hotel is clean and set right on its own private stretch of beach. The animation team are outstanding!! Extremely friendly and welcoming. Last night we danced into the night at the beach party. Everything the team turn their hand to is outstanding. The room we are in is spotless and bright and airy, our housekeeper is wonderful we even had some fresh cut flowers placed on the dressing table which was such a nice touch. Looking forward to the remainder of our stay.

First holiday in Tunisia - The Delfino Beach Resort and Spa is right on a beautiful safe and sandy beach The grounds of the hotel are beautiful so spacious & clean & there was always plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. I think perhaps the hotel was only half full but cannot understand why this would be. The food couldnt really be faulted always plenty of choice at breakfast Lunch and Dinner. Our room was clean and spacious and there was a lovely large shower. The waiters and bar staff were all so friendly and accomodating unfortunately cannot remember any of their names and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. All the staff at hotel are so friendly and the animation team well they were the BEST especially Hamza and Sky (Chiheb) who were so lovely and very good at their job Always smiling and friendly and encouraging people to join in with the table tennis archery bowls darts etc etc they really made our stay extra special . Also Chico and I think her name was Miriam from the animation team they too were lovely. We would definately recommend this hotel to family and friends and we would definately return. Thank you guys for such a wonderful time and great memories to cherish Simply one of our BEST holidays so sad we had to leave all our lovely friends behind Thank you

It’s 3 Dinar per person per night for a 4 or 5 star hotel. In Sterling it will depend on current exchange rate.
