Very nice place in a forest. The staff are very kind and helpful. Good money for relaxing in a quiet environment. Our breakfast was served under a very big tree with lots of birds humming. All meals are delicious and beautifully served. I recommend this place for couples, family, friends and a group reunion.

We learned of the resort in a TV episode and decided to do a day trip one weekend.

Because of the traffic in the towns we had to pass through to get there, travel time was longer than the one and a half hour stated in their website.

There was ample parking space, and the service at reception was not bad. Entrance fee is P250 per head; the same rates apply to adult and children. We wanted to get an air-con room so it will be more comfortable for the kids and the seniors if they wanted to rest. The lady at the reception insisted though the room is only good for two (even if we were not going to sleep there) and that we also need to get a cabana aside from the room since we were a big group. So we had to get a small cabana which we only used briefly since we didn’t bring our own food anyway.

For those who don’t plan to get the air-con rooms and just have a cabana, they have two or three sizes available, and these are good enough for day trips. These are open wall cottages with a roof and a table in the center. They have grilling stations (not sure if one has to pay additional to use or if these are already part of the cabana fee). The rates are reasonable, with the small cabana costing P800.

The air-con rooms are clean and well-maintained, with a bed, a small table and a chair inside. The bathroom is small, with a toilet and shower (but no hot water). The entire bathroom gets really wet when one takes a shower. There are various types of rooms available, with the cheapest starting at P1040. Drawback is that to get to the rooms one has to climb up several steps since the property is constructed valley-like (maybe according the contours of the property) with the pools in the center lower level, and the rooms and other facilities surrounding it in a slightly elevated level.

The property is spacious and even if there were several guests on day tours it didn’t feel cramped. Almost all cabanas were occupied, and most guests came with their own food. Corkage according to their website is P50 per head. There was a group using a videoke machine in one cabana.

We opted to eat at their restaurant. The food was okay, prices were average.

One lady whom I believe was one of the owners appeared to be quite hands-on, as I saw her watering/tending to some of the plants in the resort.

In the center of the resort was a large kidney swimming pool, shallow in one end and deeper on the other. There were two other smaller pools, one with fountains and the other with rock features and small waterfalls. There were different types of rooms and accommodations, and they were laid out in a semi-circular pattern on a higher level than the pool and cabanas.

There were lots of greenery, a mini zoo (featuring some birds and snakes), and a hiking path. Coming soon is a sports center. There was also a bicycle path with a separate entrance fee, but they didn’t have bikes for rent available at the time.

We went there last Sunday 12nn for an overnight stay. We were quite impressed on how well-maintained the resort is. Staff were very courteous, we were always greeted every time they see us. Since its already a Sunday there are only few people going on a day tour and at that time we were the only guest staying for the whole night! It seems like we have rented the whole resort at a fraction of a cost.

We opted for a regular aircon room with 2 extra matresses to accomodate 6 persons. The room is clean and not too spacious nor cramped, just well enough space to move around. At night there were several staff and a guard roaming around which makes the resort feel more secure.

Bike trail, huge pool, man made lagoon, tennis court, basketball court and mini zoo are some of the feature you can enjoy here.

Over all its a nice resort with reasonable prices and very near Metro Manila.

It was our first time to stay in a resort since the pandemic started and I can say we had a very relaxing staycation. The place was really good (clean air and pool water) but what makes it even better is the fact that staff are friendly and accomodating specially Casey Gatdula. She made sure we got everything we needed from the time we checked in until we left. I noticed that thay were understaff, I think they were on skeletal workforce just like most companies but Casey still manged to check up on us from time to time. Definitely going back! One of the best resort choice during the pandemic.

P.s. Hope Casey is still there to assist us on our next visit.

This hotel and resorts is not recommendable. All are worst. The room had no ammenities likes cups, kettle, slipper, complementary water even cabinet for clothes, alot of ants inside the room and outside the door alot of trash. At the lobby surrounded with flies, no service water at the restaurant you should need to pay for bottled water. The operation of the pool and restau will change without notice. They treatment the swimming pool with chlorine anytime they want. At that time they treatment 6pm the time we want to use pool. The reason of pool attendant is different fron the front desk. The pool attendant reason they will go home early and the front desk reason is the weather..huhh.. They need to treatment the pool urgent so the next day it will be clear. I ask them why did not do it when the opertion of the pool is close? We dont have choice but not to use the pool even they said after an hour it is safe to use. Cause we know it is not. The management had no response for all this things. They dont value thier guest. Never back again....The most horrible experience we had. Just sad it is our wedding anniversary...

We are a family of 6.
Stayed here overnight with my Mom (Senior Citizen) and a nephew (who is PWD: Person with Disabilities).
Me and my sister are 'Balikbayans' who travelled from London, UK.

This stay was a bday present for my mom. We have chosen this hotel for peace and tranquility as the website says!

I booked the '2 bedroom villa'.
Obviously i read the accommodation details and it states that it was 'Senior friendly'.
As soon as i saw the accommodation, there was the last 10 huge steps before you can reach the villa!
My mom struggles to reached the last 10 steps.

So i requested for a changed of accomodations in the main hotel building.

We were so tired after arriving from a day trip.
So we settled for an early night.

However, little did we know, that the tranquility and peace was short lived!
We were awaken by a loud noise, people shouting and probably drunk.
It started around 10pm till 3am.

We politely asked them to lower their voices, as my mum was having a rest and recuperating from a day out.
Also, my nephew (PWD: Person with Disabilities) has been deprived of sleep.
And the rest of our group (including myself who travelled all the way from the UK) - got no sleep at all!

Obviously the walls are not noise proof - as we can hear everything!
I was hoping that the hotel staffs will tell them off as they were disturbing other paying guests.

I will NOT and will NEVER recommend this HOTEL.

It was further than we expected but we found a very clean place with very good service. The staff was very accommodating and worked overtime for us. The pool was quite big and peaceful as you look up to the trees. They have facilities for both indoor and outdoor dining.

We thought the room we reserve was within the hotel for its price. We discovered later on that it was a simple room, no TV, no hot shower, no intercom, and very far from the main lobby and resto. Dismayed, we call the front desk thru cellphone but i took time before someone answered. We inquired if we can transfer to better room. Then the line dropped. We called again to request a transfer. No one answered. So despite the distance, we just walked back to the front desk to request. A few meters from the desk, we decided to call again, and as we approach the desk, three staff were just chatting, ignoring our call. Wat if the call was an emergency. We are about to upgrade our room and the staff was ignoring our call. If only it wasn't getting late we couldn't have just moved to another hotel.

Worst hotel I have ever been, rooms were smelly and the manager Elsie Juanico was the rudest person we have ever met. Waited for her for almost 30 minutes but she was just on the phone the whole time and was not minding us. For that reason we just walked away and look for another place to stay and was very lucky to have found a way better place and very courteous staff at Baras and with better amenities, better view and cheaper rates.
