NuukTaal is a very special place. An amazing setting on Lake Taal just west of Talisay, the dramatic and some times tragic history of the lake and volcano present a stark contradiction to the serenity and beauty of this landscape. The hotel service and food are outstanding and the staff are as attentive, kind and overly polite people I’ve met. Absolutely beautiful and interesting respite. Will absolutely look forward to returning.

I was given a recommendation from a colleague from work (who lives in Laurel) to try Nuuk, so my family went here last May (2023). And boy this place did not disappoint.
You already feel special before you even arrive, since they are very hands on with the preparation for your arrival and are in constant communication during the days leading to your visit. This gesture is very important to us since my wife is a PWD, and knowing that they are preparing for it is just heart-warming.
We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, and it felt like we have the place for ourselves. As an Architect, it is not hard to appreciate the theme and mood of the place, knowing that what we see around is most likely a story of their family, which, from my personal point of view, is very kind of them for sharing. We saw other guests (briefly) but honestly, it is not very hard to find a private and quiet corner here. I myself spent most of time in the hammock while eating makopa under Lakehus and I can't remember anyone bothering me there (Yes, there is a huge makopa tree near the villa, I even planted the seeds when I got home and most of them grew already, one of the reasons why I still feel connected to Nuuk, and probably why I want to go back and share them this story).
One of my intentions in going here is to make my wife and 2 daughters feel very special and exclusive, and Nuuk provided exactly that thru their team. We were in the pool until late night and the staff is still tending to our needs. Eating is even more special because you can basically ask where you want to eat and they will prepare it for you there.
Our room looks unique and full of character, and the bathroom is very nice with those custom-made toiletries!
You really couldn't ask for more from the staff, I can still remember their names up to this day.
Tip: Ask the staff (in advance if needed) if you want to clarify something, things like what you can / or can't do, bring, etc., specially that their house rules are indeed very strict, but believe me, their team is there to make you comfortable.

What an amazing place this Nuuk Taal Lake is! I want to go on and on how special my experience was in this beautiful, cozy and very relaxing gem by Taal Lake but I'm on a time constraint. This truly was a gem! The vibe of this place is so chill! Founded by a young couple originally from UK, the wife being half Filipino, this boutiquey place felt just like a home away from home. Beautifully designed in a very minimalistic way, that of a Scandinavian with a flair of history, including Filipino and Asian artifacts and decor that is very pleasing to the eyes of us as guests. Because this is more a B & B type of Resort, it comes with all meals that you get to order from the menu provided, and everything that was served on the table in every meal was delicious. They sure have very well trained chef, and all of the staff are all very professional and service is definitely above par . The rooms are so comfortable and well appointed. The view of this place, overlooking the Taal Lake and Volcano is amazing and very relaxing. If you just want a few of days to completely chill and unwind from the hustle and bustle of the city of Manila, Nuuk Taal Lake Resort is the place to be. It's definitely a place I'd like to go back again!

Charming boutique hotel with a spectacular view of Taal Volcano from the grounds and from the infinity pool. The rooms are spacious and comfortable; the staff is attentive and courteous.
The restaurant has an interesting selection of Nordic and Filipino specialities. Quality is above average, but it's rather pricey.

My wife and I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights at Room 8:
1. Room
- spacious room
- king-sized bed
- TV with Netflix, mini fridge, water heater were available
- toilet with bidet
- hot and cold shower
- the room just smell a bit damped during our stay but did not mind it
- wifi works well in the room and the entire place
2. Common areas and amenities
- beautiful furniture
- comfortable lounge areas
- they provide electric fans for open areas
- different books are available for the guests to read
- table tennis and badminton equipment are available
- nice pool overlooking Taal Lake, though the pool gets a bit dirty (leaves, branches, caterpillar) given its surrounded by big trees
- spacious parking area
- beautiful garden for morning walks
- viewing deck/veranda with seats
3. Food and drinks
- Ilulli Restaurant serves good food
- for lunch and dinner: lamb chops, burger, salmon gravlax, onion rings, sisig rice, sticky glazed chicken, cauliflower soup, warm choco cake, spicy prawn pasta. Our favorite were the lamb chops and sisig rice.
- for breakfast: beef tapa, chicken longganisa, oats, and banana butterscotch pancake. These were good but nothing extra ordinary. They provide complimentary fruits and bread/pastries. Their zucchini bread was delicious.
- we tried their cocktails. Good but nothing special.
4. Service
- Nuuk Taal has one of the best service we encountered.
- from check-in to check-out, all the staff were very helpful and friendly.
- we arrived early in hotel, they allowed us to check-in early
- they provided us drinking water wherever we were hanging out; pool, lounge areas.
- they always ask if we want to have electric fans set-up if we stay in their outdoor lounge areas.
- we got the badminton rackets in the play room. When the staff saw us, she immediately asked us if we want a net set-up. The staff placed the net on the garden within 10 minutes.
- they are very responsive and accommodating to our requests.
- they will always ask if we want to have our photos taken. They take awesome photos also.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. More than the awesome view of Taal Lake, it is the service of their team that made our trip relaxing and memorable.
We highly recommend this place.
