Where do I start.... Hands off. What I don't understand is when others write that it's cheap. For €200 more I could have spent the 6 days next door in the Hugo's hotel. I thought, come on, you're not that picky and you'll spend the money you saved on tours. Wrong decision. What problems were there... Cockroach in the room, dirt all over the hotel. Green scrambled eggs or almost raw. Dirty napkins in the dining area. The elevator kept breaking. They even got stuck. No clothes hangers in the closet. The toilet didn't flush, hair in the bathtub drain was never removed in the 6 days, but was there when I checked in. The pool area is cleaned by using a water hose to throw everything into the pool. Our balcony with a "view" had an old broken fence in front of it.

The location of the hotel is excellent, being in the center of San Julien, but the rest is terrible to say the least. Inside the corridors, near the laundry and the restaurant there is a nauseating smell of fried food and spices, which spreads inside the rooms. The shower in our room was unusable because as soon as the water was turned on, a nauseating iron smell was released from the pipes, due, undoubtedly, to the lack of maintenance of the same. The balcony overlooked a destroyed tin roof, which made everything even more "exotic". Nice salt water pool, nothing to say, perhaps the only decent thing along with the location.
Quite dirty hotel.
We witnessed scenes of little girls sitting on the washing machines (the laundry room is visible because the door is left open and is in the main corridor to access the rooms) present in the same room from where the stench I was talking about before comes out the most, who knows what they use to wash towels.
I give one star because you can't give 0 stars. To never again.

It wasn't as bad as I thought, at all. Yes, there were some unfinished areas outside, but otherwise worth the money. Room was clean and spaceous and French balcony door blocked the noise from outside quite ok. And boy there was noise outside, hotel is in the middle of everything, location 5/5, so we went to breakfast to nearby cafes every morning and ate in different restaurants every night.

Few minuses -Shower: Water pressure was awful. Thank God I have short and thin hair, because long and thick hair wont get cleaned with that water pressure. Water was also either hot or cold, not anything between. So you get freezed or boiled, you can choose. Dont know if 3rd floor affects to water problem.
-Signs. If you don't ask, you have no idea where is the pool or breakfast area, or lift, or stairs.. There would be good to have directions.
-Pool bar. Never know when it's open, it's every day different time. So you can buy drinks, or not, never know.

Overall, it was worth going, could not expect 5/5 if you pay 1/5.
City pictures (day and night) are from our room so you see the neighbourhood.

We wanted a place to stay near the beach in Malta. We were a bit nervous after reading previous reviews, but it wasn’t the case for us at all!

We had a nice room with air conditioning. The room and the bathroom were clean. Towels were provided. If you habe trouble sleeping with noise, do bring ear plugs as some rooms are directly near the street. We weren’t too bothered with the noise. The only downside of the room was the water pressure of the shower, which is quite a minor complaint.

The location of the hotel is great, many clubs, bars and restaurants are within walking distance.

Staff was super friendly and helpful, we were able to leave our luggage and go to the pool prior to check-in.

All in all, we would recommend and stay again!

Definitely exaggerated price for what they offer. Hot water in the shower does not exist, nor does flush water. The toilet won't flush. Despite being 3 stars they offer neither towels nor shower gel and shampoo. The tub was stained yellow (not sure why). In the rooms there is air conditioning but you can not control it, if you try to turn it on after 30 seconds they turn it off from the lobby. The location is great, but not worth it for the price it has and the things it offers.

I stayed here on the 4th March 2023, the service from the staff was very unprofessional, very grumpy and not welcoming at all. I complained twice about the AC not working and it still didn’t throughout the night, so I was frozen, today I woke up with a bad cold and I’m guessing it was because I was freezing all night. There is no complimentary shampoo/conditioner (like other hotels) and the TV also wasn’t working. It was also very noisy as the window wasn’t soundproof which I’m surprised about as it’s located in paceville with on going music. Throughout the night there was a group of young teenagers fighting in the communal area at 4am which wasn’t sorted by staff either, after twice going down to reception we finally got a different room after arguing our case, as the argument was on going.

There were 6 of us (in two rooms of 3) for 4 nights.
Very spacious rooms, even with extra beds, very spacious showers even if the shower in one of the two rooms was malfunctioning.
Towels are changed every day and rooms are cleaned.
However, the furnishings and structure are not new.
In terms of value for money, the evaluation is positive, you get what you pay for. Excellent location to spend the evenings in Paceville, a stone's throw from the hotel. Beautiful swimming pool, fairly clean salt water.
I would recommend choosing something else for families with children, especially another area of the island.

Get what you pay for, this is a really low price budget hotel. The positives are the pool area, fantastic location for the strip, working air con etc. Negatives - the rooms are quite grubby/dirt on walls, housekeeping don’t come everyday or turn up at 6pm… pool bar is very limited and pricey. If your looking for a cheap place to stay with a decent pool and a bed to sleep in and to be close to the night life then i would come here as it’s not all that bad

I was feeling nervous about staying here by myself after reading so many negatives.
So there were negatives. The room was on the noisy side of the street but I had a great view of the sea. The shower was constantly dripping so I lay it down in the shower cubicle. Problem solved. The toilet seat was already broken as it was only attached one side, a slight annoyance but still had done function.
I don't like people coming in my room when I'm on holiday. So happy no cleaners came in. The other others of the hotel were being cleaned by staff members. The cleaning and breakfast staff were friendly. I could have done with more help from reception staff who were nice enough but didn't really enhance my experience as a solo travellers. You should be told off stuff when you check in not have to ask for every detail.
My room was a decent size. I didn't mind the noise as I was there on my own I had no problem getting to sleep, and it's in a very busy area near nightclubs restaurants. Which is why I say that young people will love it. As you have everything including a shopping mall, cinema 17 screen and bowling with a tiny walk to get there. The hotel grounds run the length of most of the beach which is a small but nice beach. Nice to have a dip in in November as their pool was shut.
Yes there was a garden so don't know why some couldn't find it. I spent a lot of my day out and about and if you are doing that.
The breakfast had a good selection of cooked breakfast 2 cereals continental meats and cheese coffee and juice mini croissants and bread or toast. It wasn't the hottest but tasted nice and meant I didn't really need lunch there
I would definitely stay here again as it suited my needs.

The room was full of smell of damp, mould, which was on each wall coverall with a paint. The window was broken and not able to be fully closed, the aircon was not paired with remote, wall panels were sticking off the wall, lamp shade was broken, mattress on the bed below the aircon was falling below the metal frame, the second bed looked like a wardrobe put upside down. there was dirty water running in a bathroom tub, so we couldnt shower and 2 hot tabs on the sink, which didnt drain water properly.
Above all 2 pillow cases didnt seem like changed after previous use.

The entire complex looks like falling apart, including sunbeds which material part was too stretched to sit on it.
A lot of dirt in and outside the building as if noone was cleaning.
After first 5 mins I could not breathe based on the mould and couldnt take a proper shower as water was brown.
This sort of experience should not be advertised as hotel, with similar prices to actual hotels.
It is scam. I feel that someone on purpose lied to me to take my money. And I belived to what I saw on pictures. This is uncredible to do such a thing in an internet era. We checked out the same day we checked in.

If you booked this without a travel agent and hopefully with a credit card just send your card agent the full story. And they should credit your account with the cost. Unfortunately I am not surprised I do not have any good words for this hotel! Also you could trySimon Calder he would help. Good luck!

We checked in quite late as flight arrived after midnight, but there is always somebody manning reception. Rooms are cleaned and ready for check in by 2pm. Check out at 11am. Best to check out before 11am, we were late in checking out and the cleaner told me to "get out and go home"
