Detailed Reviews
Wonderful experience, staff was very kind and the room was always clean . The location of the hotel is convenient (loads of shops, bus stop and markets around) so it was easy to go anywhere from there.
We enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend it, 5 stars for sure!

The staff are we’re all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is ideal if just require a base to stay. It’s located close bus routes and has good selection of bars and restaurants near by. The hotel was quiet and clean. I would happily stay there again

if you are a tourist who use the hotel room only for sleeping and rest, Spinola is recommended. The location is very good, bus station is on the corner and you can easiy go anywhere you want. Hotel is new and very clean. Staff is very nice; helpful and smiling. Breakfast is good enough. You don't need to pay more money to an expensive hotel.

I paid 100 euro for a room and the air conditioner was not working . I left the room and instead they returned 50 euros back for 10 minutes that we tried to make the air conditioner work. All because he registered my name and the supervisor wasn't there.

I been travelling for work & holidays for the last 27 years and I am Maltese living in the UK
A friend of mine recommended me this lovely quiet hotel in the heart of Malta.
We was amazingly surprised with the AMAZING finish to this 3 star and the service we received from the staff.
A must if you are looking for a STUNNING comfortable hotel without a hole in your pocket!
Also, the hotel views are simply to die for and though its in a busy centre it's amazingly peaceful and quiet area!
AAA+++

Stayed here on a business trip. It was a last minute booking. Positives are its very centrally located..staff are very nice and helpful...it is clean. Unfortunately the room I was given which is a deluxe room over looked a building site. There was private rooftop acces with a single chair and a small table..wifi did not work for me..1 TV channel..didn't like the breakfast area and the range of food..everything tasted plastic and in fact went out for breakfast with a great selection of restaurants close by..really don't like being negative because of the nice staff and as I said a great location close to amenities..

We arrived here in the final week of the winter season in Malta and were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to find and how perfect the location was. We got on the X1 bus from the airport and the bus stop Ross is at the bottom of the road which is perfect if you have been travelling all morning!! The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly, I needed an iron for the room and within 5 minutes one of the staff delivered one with an ironing board to my room. Our room was large in size and was extremely clean and well presented, which continued throughout our stay. Our bathroom exactly the same. We had a balcony overlooking Spinola Bay which was lovely both in the morning with a coffee getting the first rays of sunshine or the lights at night sparkling in the sea.
We went to St Georges Bay on our first afternoon that is a 5 minute easy walk the receptionist will give you easy directions to follow. As the days went by we realised that the location of the hotel was amazing to see the whole island. Everything accessible by bus from the two bus stops located on the main road. We went to Valletta, Golden Bay, Mellieha Bay etc from there.
The breakfast is simple but satisfying and it changed everyday with fresh fruit and bacon and eggs to set you up for the day and included in the price of the stay which for us was a deal breaker. Everyday the staff in this hotel helped us get the best out our stay in Malta suggesting great restaurants to eat in, helping with locating a doctor and organising a taxi for us. All done with a smile and a genuine interest in helping their customers. It is also nice to see the hotel owner Eduardo around at breakfast and on the desk greeting his customers and making sure they are happy. Eduardo runs a great hotel here and we were so impressed with their hospitality, thank you so our wonderful stay and making sure we got to the airport on time!!

This hotel is ideally situated in Spinola Bay, St. Julians. It is a 5 minute walk from the buzzing Bay Street shopping area and lots of restaurants and night life. Area wise we couldn't have chosen better in Malta. The hotel itself is on quiet(ish) side street but 30 seconds away from where it's all going on and the bay.
The hotel itself is modern, clean, stylish and friendly. Desk is always manned with smiling staff that will help with anything. Breakfast is lovely. In a little cafe (owned by hotel) next door and there is hot or cold food, english or european style.
We booked for 2 people but at the start of the stay we had a friend stay. Staff's only comment was "would you like another bed added?" and they were very much welcomed at no extra cost. Nothing was too much trouble.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would return again and for money (£28 per night inc breakfast) it would be highly recommended!

We have stayed at the Spinola last August for 5 nights. It is a family run hotel, hence you feel that personal and intimate touch you will not have in a big hotel.
The location is just perfect, with bars, restaurants, clubs, groceries stores, casinos buses stop and beaches just minutes away.
The rooms are pretty big and very clean. Breakfast is rich and tasty.
However, the best feature it is definitely the Staff...amazingly helpful and patience, with an friendly and professional attitude.
Thanks for making our holiday so beautiful guys!!! Special thanks to Valerio!
Cheers :)

Hotel is beautifully modern & two of the reception team were very helpful and welcoming the gentleman with glasses and the lady who worked reception most mornings both were extremely accommodating & friendly.
The room was quiet modern reception on the TV was faulty and rarely worked and the shower only wanted to produce boiling hot water ... Great if ur in Ireland not if your in Malta.
Wifi only "worked" in communal areas but even then it was extremely hard to actual connect.
Breakfast was appalling toast small platter of meats and packaged stale croissants along with bitter coffee & juices that were awful from concentrate ... This was a massive failure considering fresh orange juice is should be such a normality. along with the "chef" both himself and the waiter actually preferred to make it look like they worked when in fact it was much further from the truth.
Another small complaint is of the staffs complete relaxed attitude - smoking at the front entrance of the hotel and having to ask them to be excused so you can pass by? Also watching owners smoke in your breakfast area during closing hours is another massive no no especially when u have a beautiful outside area to smoke in??overall after paying €104 a night for this "3 star" hotel ... Would i return 100% no would i recommend?? If your okay with a much less than mediocre breakfast at €104 rate per night then book away

Yes. Of course you can smoke. You even have an ashtray. You just cannot smoke in the room or anywhere inside the hotel.
Hi yes coffee and tea facilities available in our room.
I doubt it very much. Didnt bother us because we had a ‘sea’ view room. There is a lot of other building work going on in the vicinity however.
No pool but Spinola Bay and St. Julian's Bay a short walk where you can swim off the rocks , a small beach about a 12 minute walk.
"Our (cheap) room had not much of a view, but some rooms on upper storeys appear to look out ov er Spinola Bay.)"Read full review
