We booked this hotel as a budget break over the new year period. What a huge disappointment. We held back on the poor review to give the booking company a chance to respond and refund- they however aren’t interested and told us it’s our own fault!
The hotel is run down, and not fit for purpose.
Avoid at all costs particularly with family-it is not safe- wobbly balcony railings, beds with half the slats missing, mouldy food on the floor, dirty bathroom, Insect bites from the beds, resulting in a trip to the pharmacy and medicine. An absolute shambles!!
Our key was lost twice,( you had to leave it when you left the hotel) reception were unable to find it. On the second occasion we were sent to find the cleaner who just handed it over without any questions and didn’t ask for proof that it was our room!!
Checked out after suffering for one night as we couldn’t get another hotel on the day we arrived.
Unfortunately the only good thing I can put about this hotel is the minute we walked out. It should be shut down!! The only reason we have give it one star is because you have to! Not even worthy of that!!

my family have come to Malta for a relaxing break. we arrived very late at night and as we went to reception to get our room ,the staff were really rude so they decided to give us a dirty room. we then got asked to give then £50 deposit. when we arrived to the room it was on the seventh floor so we had to take the lift , two witch were broken and the last one so small and tiny that was also super dodgy. when we got into the room it was absolutely freezing cold the beds did not even have pillows so we called reception and they arrived 2 hours later,we also asked for towles but without a doubt we knew they wouldn't even bother to bring them and we were right. luckily , wait not luckily at all we were put at the party side , and i can tell you that we could hardly sleep as the the party noise stayed till 5:30 and as soon as that finished the drilling started. loud with also super loud road work. it was more than a nightmare . we were a family of four but we had to sleep with 2 in a bed as it was the only way to keep warm.you cant put the heating on as it would make the loudest nose ever, it was also not hot it was just cold air. Malta is a beautiful country but this has absolutely done it . we could really not take it there so we went down to breakfast ,it was disgusting it was cold. went to at least a 4.7 star hotel for a pretty good price as we werent going to fall for the cheap ones again. if you have already booked the hotel then i wish you the very best, good luck.its hell.

Booked with teletext holidays, supposed to be all inclusive but the hotel is only offering bed and breakfast due to covid 19 (taking this matter up with teletext)... Anyway breakfast isn't even served in the hotel, they give you a voucher to use at a nearby cafe. On top of the holiday cost, We had to pay tourist tax (only 3 euros for 2 of us for 3 nights so not too bad) then a 50 euro refundable deposit (assuming this is for damage??).
So onto the room, 469 (avoid this room) it has 4 single beds (as a couple having a cheeky weekend away, we asked to move rooms to a double - not possible as every room has the same bed arrangement so this is fab if holidaying with friends 🙄)
None of the plug sockets work in bedroom 1,the a/c doesn't work in either room, TV doesn't work, the balcony over looks cafes, restaurants and bars so the bass from music is heard, the furniture is all dated. The bath is a mess to look at, struggled to get the shower working, sorted it eventually but it's like having a shower from a water gun. The staff are rude and far from helpful. As we are only here for 3 nights we are trying to make the most of the situation but if we were here longer I'd be wanting to change hotels.

I will start with positive first. Location is very nice, I was given the room as I requested for. The free wifi Internet was fast.
Negative. There are alot but will mention few the food was tribble. Stayed a week and everyday same repeated manu. Never had a different variety in food. Hotel hygiene was poor. The hotel really needs renovation. I have been to many countries for holiday and the hotel staff always used to let us stay until or departure time. But, was really disappointed when a lady on reception told me that I have to bring keys at 11am as its checkout time otherwise she is going to charge me 20€ every hour. I told her my flight timing is at 19:00 and today the weather is cold and windy I can't spend 6 hours outside with a small kid. She was not helpful. My check in time was also 11am but I arrived at 20:00.
Over all not too much happy but good for those people who spends less money for holiday. Money wise not bad but two things the management should really take immediate actions. 1- food 2- someone on reception to be highly experienced and deliver a great customer service so that everyone will write good about the hotel.

Stayed here for 4 days just to escape the English weather. Our room was fabulous. We were on top floor and had a lovely terrace for sunbathing.
Room was spotless and maids came every day for cleaning.
Bathroom was lovely with bath and shower.
The hotel is right in Pacevilly so we were handy for all the pubs most of them doing 2 for 1 cocktails.
Staff were lovely couldn't have wished for more.
Didn't eat in hotel so can't comment on that aspect.
Paid our £50 deposit in sterling ando got it back no problem on checkout.
Would recommend to anyone.

I feel I should not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in mortar; to begin with we arrive around lunchtime convinced that we can immediately enter the room (as we had been told previously), when in reality we had to wait because the rooms (2, a quadruple and a triple) were not yet ready. Courtesy is not the strong suit of those at the reception, except for one who on the contrary was very kind and helpful. The room (one triple) consisted of two separate rooms: in one double bed where the only socket available was the one to which the “air conditioner” was attached, which gave off an abominable smell and in the other there were two single beds with the same problem as the “air conditioner”, which gave way after a few days. The tiny bathroom, with a soft light and a dirty shower, which also gave way the same evening of our arrival (the shower had been unscrewed). The window, if you can call it that, was never possible to open it because it did not face outside, but inside the building where obviously the smell of mold, dirt and probably animals was very evident. Speaking of animals, there was absolutely no shortage of ants in bed and on the ground. Another thing that was missing was the daily cleaning of each room, in which only the bed was made and not even swept on the ground or passed a patch. Whenever towels were left at the entrance of the room, we would have to go and ask them at reception because they were not replaced otherwise. Also missing was the fridge. The only good thing was the great location downtown and the check out. Horrible experience

A couple of months ago we had a school trip and we decided to stay in this hotel. Too bad we didn’t read the reviews because this is a real shame. The treat that the staff gave us was horrible, instead of feeling as guests we felt as animals. On the other hand, the food was mediocre and the beds were dirty and fool of dust. Finally I must admit that the price and location are acceptable.

Terrible,we have stayed at this Hotel quite a few times over the years and there has never been any problems.
Unfortunately on this occasion this was not the case, besides the room being on the small side, shower wasn't very good patches of enamel missing on the bath, cover partly off on the main light,no light and no cover on the balcony curtains were too small couldn't join them, shower curtain old and dirty,no fridge,we were given one that was filthy dusty smelt awful and it didn't work,no offer to replace it when we mentioned it.
Hardly any lighting in the corridors, the lock was awkward on the door too,the lifts we needed to use were out of order the whole time we were there so had to walk even further, also bare wires left dangling, wet paint with no warning, pathing was loose around the pool,we were put on the 7th floor which consisted of kids as in 18 to 25 years old, running up and down corridors, screaming, shouting trying to get into our room, trying to kick the door in on quite a few occasions arguing, banging doors and smoking weed, this went on every night from around 12.30am till 5 or 6 in the morning,my mother is 76 years old and was petrified,we didn't report any of this because while there we were worried that if any of them knew we had reported them it would have only got worse,we felt quite intimidated, also on one occasion staff were smoking in the ladies toilet,we were also told we need to leave our key in the pot on the reception desk while out which we didn't do for obviousreasons, also on arrival we asked to pay for a safe to which we were told that none of them worked so we had to take all our money, jewlery and passports out with us every day, breakfast was 9 euro each, stone cold including the tea, didn't bother going again and did mention that to someone behind the desk,it's more like an 18 to 30s club, however the cleaners and breakfast staff were lovely and it does seem to be run by young people, the whole place needs a refurbishment as it looks like it's a make do place

I had booked this hotel to stay in and it is not what was advertised. One of the pillows was yellowish stained and also had multiple dark spots on it, the bath/shower was filthy and definitely wasn’t cleaned, one of the towels was stained. The staff weren’t any help and just said okay sorry when I informed them of this and showed them the pictures. The air conditioning unit on the wall didn’t work and they had replaced it with a mobile air conditioning unit which was extremely loud and honestly sounded like it was going to take off in the room. There was also multiple little black bugs everywhere in the room. Needless to say I only stayed here for 12 hours and relocated to a different hotel. Avoid this place at all costs and save your money because they will not refund you

Don't be afraid of the reviews, we saw them the night before we left and we were panicked. There is no reason, as soon as you enter, until the end of the holiday it was a normal hotel very comfortable, very helpful staff (we accidentally stopped the shower, because we did not understand how to open the cap and the plumber arrived in two minutes) , reception open 24 hours a day, clean rooms, the two large pools and the days that we were spotless. As for the sounds and screams mentioned in previous reviews, this we can not say because being young girls on vacation we returned very late and therefore nothing to say about this. Frequented by very young people, personally I would not go there with a family. Perhaps the only thing was the security of the doors that initially seemed unstable and did not close well, but it took some strength and everything worked out.

You’re right - absolutely shocking! Never again! Everything is about saving money but I didn’t think it marketed itself as a youth hostel - meant to be a hotel!!
