Nestled in a picturesque spot with stunning sea views, the Radisson Blu Resort, Malta St. Julian's receives accolades from guests for its cleanliness and extensive amenities, including diverse dining options and comfortable rooms. While the location is serene, some guests find it a tad isolated from urban bustle and family dining spots.
The rooms earn praise for space and views but face occasional remarks on datedness. Service quality generally impresses, yet it's marked by sporadic lapses. Though the atmosphere is often described as enchanting and vibrant, opinions on value for money diverge, and there's a chance of construction noise disrupting the peace.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed at the Raddisson Blu for 3 nights this week. The staff are very attentive and the hotel has beautiful views. I think most of the rooms are sea view.
We were on the 7th floor initially, and after an issue with our shower we were moved to the 5th floor. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. They tried to fix the shower right away, however when this wasn't possible, they changed our room straight away and had someone come assist with our belongings so we didn't have to repack our cases.
During our visit the pool area was undergoing renovations, which are probably overdue. The pool itself is quite dated and in need of grouting, but as they were doing work during our stay, this is obviously something they are aware of.
We had breakfast each morning, and I have never seen such a large selection. They had a menu to choose from for freshly made items, and special diets, as well as having many well signposted special diet items around the room.
My only fault with the Raddison Blu would be the location. You must walk down a very large hill to get to the heart of St Julian's if you would like to eat out. The only restaurant options around the hotel are within other hotels, and are quite pricey. As a young couple, this wasn't too much of an issue, however an older couple or someone with mobility issues would need to get a taxi or bus.
I would return to the Raddison again, however if I had a lot of plans around the island, I would choose a more central hotel.

Our room was beautifully prepared with rose petals and towel swans on the very comfortable bed, a bottle of good rose bubbles, and a card from the staff. This really set the screen for an enjoyable romantic anniversary. Well done everyone.

As a person who lodges quite often in hotels both locally and abroad let it be on leisure or business, I must say this was one of my favourite stays out of them all! With all this COVID-19 craze going on it was vital that this weekend stay would be an important one to get away from it all, enjoy a good break together with my family.
Upon arrival we were greeted accordingly by the staff complimented with all the COVID-19 protocols in place which was very fruitful to experience that feeling of knowing that you are safe during your holiday; hand sanitisers placed almost everywhere in the hotel was something I was really impressed with. We opted for the Executive Studio room which was very spacious, clean and quite luxury, all this complimented with a nice welcome treat! For our evening meals we all agreed to remain at the hotel and dine in at the Le Bistro which was such a fantastic dining experience, the food, the waiters, the ambience, everything was on point.
To sum it all up, it was such a fantastic experience and such a huge pleasure for us to have opted for the Radisson Blu Resort St.Julians for this important break especially during these challenging times for us all. From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank all the staff for making our weekend stay a magical experience,
We look forward to our next visit very soon!

We arrived here on Sunday and have been pretty much confused as to why this hotel is advertised as a 5*. We booked this hotel based on positive reviews but cannot fathom what they saw. We came to celebrate our anniversary and our baby’s first holiday, so when we asked for a complimentary upgrade it was refused because the hotel was at “full occupancy”. However when we spoke to staff at the two restaurants, they said it was very quiet which was normal for this time of the year. I get that you can’t always offer an upgrade but no need to make excuses. We got to our room only to discover the hot water was not working despite being told by the unhelpful receptionist to run the water for 10 minutes. 5* hotels shouldn’t expect you sit around running water for 10 minutes, especially when you need to wash a baby. While we were then offered a room change, the next room proved no better when we discovered a cockroach roaming in the bathroom. The next morning a very helpful receptionist called Maciej managed to get us an upgraded room but all these rooms still need at least 10 minutes to get the hot water going!! What’s worse is that the hotel is carrying out maintenance work so while we had a nicer room the noise is so loud from work being carried out it is impossible to put a baby down for a nap. And we weren’t even warned about the work before coming or even on the day we arrived. One day the work started at 8am... The hotel itself is located quite away from the main parts of St Julian’s so that is a bonus and the views are pretty amazing as the hotel is located on the seafront. The lobby and restaurants give this place a 5* feel but once you get to the rooms it is an entirely different story. This hotel is sorely in need of an upgrade, including the plumbing and a good clean (the hallway carpets are filthy and I’m sure I’ve seen bloodstains).
I have stayed in many 5* hotels and I am sorry to say this is certainly not my expectation of a 5* hotel.

Stayed for 2 weeks in summer this was our 4th time but would not recommend or return…
family holiday was given room 439; the room was worn out. Firstly the patio door did not lock with toddlers being on the fourth floor this is a big safety issue that the hotel could not fix. The bath tub wasnt able to fill up so only could shower,
in the end had to resort to stuffing flannels over the plug so we could run baths for the children was told by Carl they would need to take the bath out to fix the problem. Our air conditioning unit kept dripping puddles of water all over the worn out laminate floor which again was a slipping hazard for toddlers and we had to lay towels under the unit so kids didnt slip called maintenace at least 5 times and all that was being done was the floor was being wiped the problem again was not being rectified.
Spoke to Carl and Kurt on numerous occasions but was being offered rooms on lower floors overlooking the staff car park but had paid for sea views and requested high floor at time of booking. Apparently hotel was fully booked even though more guests were arriving.
Such a shame as the hotel had lost its 5 star feel and customer service was not what we were accustomed to over the years we had stayed there. The cleaners were not ckeaning the rooms properly either think because the work load had increased and most of the maltese cleaners had gone from the hotel
Breakfast was excellent and Ray and jessmond always made us feel welcome over the years
For the money the hotel rooms are not worth it the reception is nice but rooms are very outdated now and need to be spruced up as they so proudly claim to be 5 stars which in reality are worn out 4 stars. Take plenty of hangers if you are going as the wardrobe has about 5 in there
I hope the hotel can rectify these issues and make all guests have that "5 star" experince we came to love but sadly it has gone. We wont be returning this year or in the near future such a shame

Standards seem to have fallen. We stay at the same hotel every year. Cleanliness levels leave much to be desired. We had to pull out the furniture to switch on the mini fridge and the dust was unbelievable. The bathroom wasn't even swept daily. Towels not replaced eg if we put one for the wash we were left without it. Same with the facecloths. House keeping staff were not wearing masks in the corridors. The ceiling of the corridor was removed for repairs and left undone. We noticed bits of fluff here and there that were never cleaned. Pool area should be cleaned as per covid protocols. At least the sunbeds should be sprayed with sanitiser especially when a guest got up so it was clean for the next guest but this did not happen. Towels in the rooms were of poor quality. They had yellow stains on them, not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. We paid extra for an upgrade and since we are Radisson rewards members we should have received an additional upgrade but we were in the same type of room on the same floor adjacent to our friends who bought the deal and did not pay extra for the upgrade. Who are you trying to fool? It is a pity since the location and views are fantastic.

Not sure why it was requested that my review of this hotel be removed when it was accurate. As mentioned previously the hotel staff are lovely and very helpful. I stayed in the hot tub room 611 with fabulous views unfortunately the room above me was getting decorated and paint fell onto the balcony and the cleaning was below the standard I would expect. I appreciate it is a difficult time for hotels at the moment but do believe in the right to review honestly is important. Room service food was left in the hall ways for long periods and I think the hotel was accommodating an event which probably didn’t help. Thank you again to the lovely staff for the hospitality just need cleaning improvements and probably to decorate at a time when the hot tub rooms are not occupied as they cost a lot of money and it’s disappointing to have mess all over the balcony

We stayed at the excellent Radisson Blu in St Georges Bay in mid October having previously enjoyed a fabulous stay here a few years back. It was raining at Malta Airport when we landed but the blue skies and glorious warm sunshine soon appeared and we had very good weather for most of the week with daily temperatures averaging around 23-25 degrees. The beautiful grounds and the elegant entrance to the hotel looked even better than we remembered and the property is still generally well maintained throughout. The hotel only reopened a few weeks earlier and some of the new staff were still settling in with additional responsibilities and pressures due to the sensible Covid protocols. However everyone was without exception, extremely helpful, polite and friendly and really made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Kasia on Reception couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating with our early check in e.g. setting up WIFI on my mobile, arranging for us to have a relaxing drink in the lounge bar until our room was ready,
as well as explaining dining options and special offers etc. And what an unexpected treat the Premium Sea View with Balcony was ! It was spacious, tastefully decorated room with 2 sets of patio doors opening to a large balcony to reveal stunning sea views. The sound of the sea and the peaceful location made for a great night's sleep after the hustle and bustle of Valletta and adjacent resorts. We ate breakfast and had several evening meals in the hotel's Kontiki restaurant which was very spacious with a pleasant outlook to the pool and the sea beyond. We had a wide choice of breakfast options with plenty of fresh fruit, juices, a selection of cereals, breads, Maltese pastries, cakes, croissants, egg, bacon, sausages, tomatoes and a variety of hams, cheeses, baked salmon etc. The delicious breakfast set us up nicely for our trips out and about around Malta including the excellent 3 Cities Tour (Marika kindly arranged for us) and a private tour of temples and fishing villages. The evening meals consisted of delicious buffets and we regretted not booking them every night .The truly amazing views of the sea and headlands, the lovely hotel gardens in the glorious sunshine and bracing dips in the outdoor pool made for a perfect week's holiday which exceeded all our expectations.
Many thanks to Carl and Marika for arranging such a fantastic stay and to everyone else for looking after us so well and making us feel at home.

Last week a friend and myself went for a Day by the Pool at The Edge Lido at The Radisson Blu Resort, St. Julians. This was my second time there this summer and I was completely satisfied on both occasions. All the staff consistently provided us with a service with a smile, were all attentive to provide a safe service meaning that we could relax and feel completely safe. The place is beautiful with breathtaking views and the 3 pools and all areas were immaculately clean. Finally the food was simply delicious ❤️
All-in-all, i highly recommend choosing The Edge for a relaxing, fun, high value for money and safe day by the pool!!

We stayed at the Radisson Blu for 3 nights to celebrate a special occassion. The staff were polite and helpful right from the start of our stay. Olga checked us in and Julian processed our request for a late check out, both were extremely professional and helpful, as indeed were all staff we came into contact with, from reception, breakfast room staff to housekeeping. The hotel is adhering to Covid measures by conducting guest temperature checks on arrival and by providing an assissted buffet at breakfast. The hotel provides good transport links to Valletta with a public bus stop being located nearby. The journey to Valletta takes approximately 25 mins or you can leave the bus at the Sliema ferries stop and take the 10 min ferry crossing to Valletta...this provides great views... both options were easy enough ways of reaching Valletta from the hotel.
We were upgraded to a sea view family room which was large and clean with a corner balcony overlooking the rocky shoreline...amazing views of the waves, especially in windy weather.
The vibrant areas of Paceville and Bay Street are a 15 minute walk away and provide access to shops, restaurants, clubs and a couple of supermarkets.
The hotel has an indoor pool and spa facilities but we did not use these.
We enjoyed our stay at the Radisson and we would definitely recommend staying there.
A minor point that could be improved is to use separate pans for making vegetarian omlettes etc. at breakfast to avoid cross contamination with meat products.

Hi. I’m not sure I saw any with a terrace. The rooms are in a U shape with balconies with the pool in the middle of the U. We had a superior room on ground floor at entrance but above ground at the room due to slope of land. It was on the end and close to the sea. Can’t remember if there were rooms at the back.
Sorry I'm not sure. You'd have to ask the hotel.
