We’ve never been to Malta. The Hilton didn’t disappoint at all- it was a fabulous place to stay. All the staff were very helpful and the facilities were excellent. We have a child with a food allergy and I felt very confident in all the serving staff and chefs to ensure she was looked after. We really enjoyed the Meerkanti over 16s pool area. Particular mention to the Gazebo outdoor restaurant- Tom and Christina looked after us very well- thank you for contributing to a fabulous holiday!

We stayed late September for 4 nights at the Hilton Malta, booked directly via Hilton Reservation Department. we had to cancel our trip in march due to covid., so we looked very much forward to our malta holiday. luckily malta did it right and in september it kept open as one of the few destinations in the south, safe for germans.

arrival was smooth and the prebooked Hilton Cab waited on time after landing @ Luca Airport.
We had the pleasure to stay at one of the Executive rooms on the 8 floor and were promt invited to join the Teatime at Lounge. Great start and so it continued ...

The Room was huge decorated in Shades of blue, dedicated to the sea, fresh and crips. Our balcony had views to Portomaso Marina facing the impressive array of yachts towed along the walkway. The pool area is huge and had enough deckchairs and umbrellas, while the Beachclub underneath was already closed.
from 6-8 pm, wine, beer and snacks are served at the executive lounge and we loved to start our evening, pampered by the outstanding crew of the lounge.

i also like to mention how clever the hilton managed, to have a very nice breakfast, regarding covid measurements.
on 4 stations (cold cuts and fruits, pancakes / Cooked Breakfast / Cereals & Milk / & finally Bakery and Jam) the crew hands out your choice. Secret, ask for the salmon plate at the cold cuts station, because its hidden in the catering fridge... Coffee and Orange is served by the Crew and to my surprise the waiter on the first morning offered me a egg benedictine which was delish! Over the Weekend the Hotel was fully booked and became popular with family's (Maltese independence day gave the locals an extra monday off ) Even with heavy load's at breakfast, the crew did their best to cater all guest's. the terasse seating was another big plus to enjoy morning sun and croissant right at the poolside.
if you wish to workout, go ahead the gym on level 4 is huge with top notch equipment and lots of space in different areas. we did not use the sauna and spa facilities and let the sun tann us instead.

verdict: the hilton malta is a perfect place to relax and belongs to my favourity Hilton's in Europa from now on. The Lounge is huge with nice F&B concept and keep in mind... most of the Hilton's still keep their Lounges closed. Thumbs up for the management. Thumbs up also for the entire Staff we met during our stay. Mr. Mahmoud E. delivered outstanding Hilton Honors Recognition (exactly because of Employers like him I LOVE HILTON) and so was Elena and Silvia @ Reception and all the remaining people who met us feel welcome.

cant wait to return and thank you once again for having a great vacation.

Just got back from a brilliant stay at the Hilton Malta! My bf & I were collected from the airport by a very helpful driver & brought direct to the hotel. Check in was a breeze & the lady who checked us in explained what was new with the hotel in regards to covid measures & again very helpful. Masks must be worn round all areas of the hotel & hand sanitiser used where possible from the stations provided. I must say the hotel staff were really on top of this which made it feel a safe place to be. We had booked an executive room which meant we had access to the executive lounge which was located on the 9th floor. We enjoyed drinks & canapés between 6pm-8pm & have to give special thanks to the staff up there who truly made our holiday. Silvia, the lounge manager couldn’t do enough for you, Daniel was so polite & attentive & John was the most friendly & knowledge member of staff who offered advice about Malta & made sure you had everything you needed - was a pleasure John! Ryan in concierge couldn’t do enough for us & helped organise lots during our stay. The facilities are fabulous & our room was beautiful & always well made up. We loved our stay that much we extended our trip for a further 3 days! Thanks again Hilton Malta for looking after us so well & we look forward to returning!

We stayed in July 2020 at rooms 940 and 946. In the one week we stayed at the Hilton, the staff we interacted with was always professional and did this his job better then other Hilton’s we stayed in.

But two members of your staff was outstanding. The staff at the executive lounge was unbelievable friendly, supportive and did his work with such passion, we never experienced something like this before. The kitchen staff organized bacon, because the hotel does not offers bacon, only ham.

The rooms are renovated and are checked or cleaned twice a day. The service at the various pools is very attentive; prices are normal and not overpriced like other Hilton hotels. A mask is not required throughout the hotel. The hygiene rules are observed. Breakfast is plentiful; it is served at the table. Of particular note is the pool for swimmers (16 years and older) and the gym, which is really big. The audience is international and down to earth. There are families with children who do not disturb the relaxation area. There are older and younger couples; LGBTG GUESTS are also very welcome and pleasant.

Overall, we can say that we have never experienced comparable service and attention from your employees. I allow myself to say this because I have to spend at least 30 nights a year in luxury hotels for my job.

Conclusion: we can only highly recommend the hotel.

From an early check in, upgrade and bubbly on arrival, the weekend was absolutely perfect. Birthday cake waiting in the room from rolled towels to actual cake. Despite their being no tourists, which was lovely and quiet, the hotel has implemented several restrictions due to the overhyped flu virus. Sanitizing stations on arrival, temperature being taken and the staff wearing masks, nothing could have ruined the weekend.
It's a shame that the island relies so much on tourists as this was the best break we've had on the island.
Stella, our room attendant, was amazing at replenishing our tea and coffee, thank you.
We will return again soon.

We stayed in an executive bedroom with wonderful views out across the sea, it was great to be able to hear the waves breaking on the shore.
Our room was modern, well decorated and equipped, the fresh cotton bedding was good and the complimentary bathroom smellies were lovely and much appreciated. Each day our room was superbly cleaned as refreshed by Nino.
We enjoyed our use of the Executive lounge, breakfasts on the balcony there were such a treat. Afternoon tea and evening canapés with drinks were very popular. John and his team were friendly, efficient and always hardworking, they clearly have a great pride in their work and are a great credit to the Malta Hilton.
The lounge and bar area on Level 5 were a welcoming space with a wide choice of drinks and freshly prepared food, again the service was exemplary and friendly. The outside seating area was a good spot for a relaxing drink and nibbles. We also had a meal at the Blue Elephant Thai restaurant where the decor, food and service were exceptionally good.
Overall we had a wonderful break, the warm winter sunshine away from the wet, grey UK was a bonus. We would love to return to the Hilton Malta again and hope to be able to do so.

I have been visiting for at least ten years because Hilton Malta is really a Home Away from Home. I’ve travelled to many quality hotels but the staff, service and amenities here are just outstanding. It’s a luxury hotel with definite standards but never stuffy or pretentious. Dining choices are varied and in stunning settings with delicious menus. The Vista Lounge has great value lighter meals and desserts whilst the Quarterdeck Bar is spectacular! My family and I adore relaxing at the Merkanti Beach Club...just soak up the sunshine and watch the boats sail by.
Rooms are kept immaculately clean by housekeeping. Special mention goes to the attentive and dedicated staff of the Executive Lounge who provide a haven of comfort throughout the day starting with breakfast then afternoon tea and the convivial evening drinks/canapés. Special thanks go to John and Ms Silvia in the Executive Lounge are so kind and helpful. Mahmoud Elkot has been wonderful for keeping regular guests in touch during the recent pandemic which encourages me even more to return.
Hilton Malta has a superb location in St Julian’s with its restaurants, shops and bars....the Concierge will pre book at taxi to meet you at the Airport which is really handy and they are always ready to help with making bookings for other activities on the island.
Thank you Hilton Malta...you are the star of the Mediterranean !

Unfortunately, I booked this hotel to spend a pleasant time as a birthday surprise for my boyfriend. However, upon entering the bathroom in our room, I immediately found hair all over the floor of the shower and bathtub.
This means that where it should have been cleaned properly, it was not.
I was disappointed, because a hotel of this size should at least offer a clean environment to its guests.

The breakfast was nothing special and lacked a variety of options.

The bed is not as soft as I imagined.

When we were inside the room, the cleaner simply came in without knocking on the door to make sure there was no one there, or at least asking if they could open it or if we needed anything. She just opened it.

Because of these details, unfortunately my experience was not pleasant and I do not recommend this hotel, as I have stayed in others in Malta, smaller but complete in every way.

Positive point. The suite was upgraded free of charge for my boyfriend's birthday and when we arrived, there was a small cake as a gift.
That was very nice.

We’ve just returned from a really wonderful week in Malta, and we stayed at the Hilton in St Julians. We booked a superior room with a sea view but when we were taken to the room it became apparent that it was too far from the elevator to make it suitable for us as my wife has a mobility issue. Without any fuss, the hotel guided us to a different room on the executive floor that had fantastic accessibility options and the biggest walk in shower I have ever seen. Room 832 was also near to the lifts, and an easy trip down to reception and the main restaurant.
The duty manager, Maxime, seemed committed to making our stay truly memorable and did everything he could to make sure that our stay was as perfect as possible. When my wife was ill towards the end of our week there, he made sure that the type of plain food that she needed to eat was specially prepared and sent to our room and didn’t charge us for it either. He really went beyond what we could have imagined a five star hotel would do in this situation.
On a Saturday evening the hotel’s Oceana restaurant has a buffet and it is one of the best I have ever seen and eaten from, including the ones that I have been to in Las Vegas. In fact, it was so good that we changed our booking on Valentines evening so that we could eat in the restaurant in the hotel again. Noting that my wife had a wheeled walking aide, each time we went to the restaurant for breakfast or dinner, the staff made sure that we had a perfect table near to the food so that she didn’t have to walk too far and that we could use it each time we needed to. Again, this was incredibly helpful and much appreciated by us.
The concierge was very helpful too, to the extent that they were able to arrange taxis for us even when we were in Valletta and needed to get back to the hotel.
As you can tell, I cannot praise the hotel or at staff enough, and have no problem in recommending it most highly to everyone for a perfect holiday in Malta

I'll start with a few negatives (in my own opinion) - the rooms aren't totally soundproof, to the extent that you can here people walking around on the floorboards in their heels in the room above, shouting from neighbouring rooms or some weird 'dripping' sounding noise, which I think was the balcony windows settling into place in the morning sun.

That being said, the rooms are large, modern, comfortable. The bathroom very good.

Breakfast is decent. At the moment this is a staff served buffet, though it might seem limited in choice, if there's anything you want, ask, they probably have it and quite an extensive vegetarian selection.

Facilities also excellent. You may have to fight for a bed in the early mornning, but there are 4 pools to choose from and an adult only one.

Food in the hotel resutaurants is very good, drinks too expensive for what you get.

The location compared to other 5* hotels in St Julian is much better if you're wanting easy access and a relaxed atmosphere.

Floors 8/9/10 are Executive level rooms. I think there are also suites on these floors. Hope this helps.
