Exactly what is says on the tin. You will wake up at 6:00 am to the sound of the hammer drill and trying to fall asleep after 3:00 am because of the surrounding clubs. The rooms are simple and if you are lucky the toilet will work in yours. We were offered a replacement room which was even worse the the original. Worst place Ive been so far.

Don't expect luxury but the price is cheap for what it is. There is a lift to get you up to the rooms but there are 3 steps into building Si limited for able disabled. We had an apartment with 3 single beds in. Beds comfortable and bedding clean but only one pillow with no extras. The kitchenette was basic but there was a kettle and a little table top oven with 2 ring job. There was also a good full size fridge. Plenty of cutlery and crockery and pans for basic meals (we only did breakfast). They provide a tea towel but no cleaning clothes or washing up liquid so you will need to buy them. There is a little shop with a good variety of supplies about 5 mins walk away plus a newsagent and pharmacy. Plenty of bars and restaurants. Be aware if you are a light sleeper this is not the place for as some of the bars are loud and and finish late. 10 mins walk down to rocky but nice shoreline area. Nice to have a little balcony with table and chairs on it. Bathroom is basic and in the room we had you had to hold the shower but you could have a bath. Plenty of hot water. We didn't need it but there is both fan and zircon. Keys are collected and dropped off from the the Blue Skies St George Hotel just across the road. The Malta Transfer drops off and picks up just outside the St George.

I wouldn't even give this the pleasure of calling this a 'hotel' it's very much a hostel. The entrance stunk, the people in the hotel where rude. The place was a complete building site and unfit for people to stay on holiday. Noisey neighbours and building works everywhere. AVOID!

On arrival in December 2015 about 1am a lot of street noise outside of building looks seedy and unkempt street and entrance were dirty lifts were dirty and only certain lifts would take you to your floor but if not told you would have no idea if you tried to walk up some of the stair cases were blocked off this must be a nightmare in case of fire in building huge two bed apartment which for two elderly people was not needed and looked like a cheap backpackers hostel curtains hanging off the rails no shower curtains no anti slip. Coating in bath and no plugs for sinks toilet cistern constantly running water but hell of a job to get it to flush rooms just looked grubby and unkempt as if nobody give a damn noise from local bars so loud no sleep for first two nights although didn't feel safe enough in the place to sleep anyway there was no security after the night man showed us to our room and said he would be back 4 no one in the office for two days when we requested a quieter room were told by a very pleasant helpful lady we actually had the quietest room in the building God help the others and she said we could move to sister block the Burlington down the road smaller room not a lot better very uncared for appearance outside dirty dirty lifts again no shower curtains electric sockets not working got sorted later the same day lift broke down 3 times and we got stuck in one on last day there seemed to be 3 local women that did all the repairs themselves no batteries in TVs remotes in either building but I wouldn't have expected the TVs would have worked anyway wouldn't advise anyone to book or stay in either of these blocks of apartments if you do good luck

Don't go to this hotel, or only if there is nothing else available! Stayed there for 6 nights - hell on the earth. Cockroaches big like a fingers, no A/C working, you can not open the window to avoid cockroaches coming to your bed, no possible to sleep at all. Everything dirty, big spots on the walls... The staircase was full of empty bottles, cigarets buts, condoms. I didn't meet cleaning lady at all this 6 days. Reservation desk/Reception no helpful at all.... Terrible...

Liked the room. Hated the dirty floors. Stayed for 10 nights, no changing of sheets or towels. So I would return if the cleaning improved. Cockroaches liked the dirty floors. Also there weren't a lot of plates and utensiles for the kitchen.

The personnel at the Dragonara hotel were very helpful. They answered any questions I had about buses, attractions, the various currencies, and how to say a few things in Maltese, etc. The hotel itself was very comfortable and relaxing, We enjoyed the pool, table tennis and the delicious breakfast buffet.. Nobody could possibly leave there hungry. There was so much variety. We had a lovely ocean view. Our rooms were cleaned early and the beds were so comfortable. My sister and I can't wait to return for another vacation, One of our receptionists was even a quite famous Maltese playright, director and actor.
