I did not have any expectations when I booked this resort however upon arriving, I was greeted with crystal clear waters and immediately fell in love with the island. We stayed here for 4 days. My appreciation abruptly stopped once I officially set foot in the island. The resort lost our booking and initially our bags. My booking had details of a few of my side requests including a specific welcome drink + a few others. The issue is no one seem to be able tell me what went wrong and how can the resort locate my booking. Tried my best to reach out to management to assist me including the resort OIC a few times but to no avail. I resisted approaching the resort VP as I saw her having a meeting in one of the restaurants. Whilst the resort was trying figure out what to do with us, we were placed in a holding villa where we ended up staying during our time on the island. Failing to reach anyone from management, the resort's saving grace is Jason from F+B. He took ownership of our issues (lost booking) and tried his best to ensure the rest of our stay was enjoyable. PS – our bags was found in another villa. Jason, thank you for arranging everything you certainly made a difference. The staff on the island genuinely cares for its guests and it shows. In the end, our time on the island was good. Drivers, Sam and Pedro was a delight deal with. Our day tour guide was also very knowledgeable and showed us the beauty of Coron. It was breath taking! Food on the resort was also good as there are a few restaurants to choose from. Accommodation had great views of the area and You will be mesmerized by the beauty of the island and its surrounding pristine waters. Make sure you try the underwater scooter (Aqua Jet) from the dive shop, you won't want to return it! I would consider going back to stay on the island again.…
if you want to go to a real luxury hotel go to Pearl Farm Davao. Our experience was terrible, I message the resort on IG, FB, Email (at least 15 times) for booking our transportation I never get an answer I have to ask sunlight guesthouse in coron (lovely staff there) when we left they try to charge the breakfast around 13 000 PHP for 2 days breakfast 4 people ( totally not worth it, despite our breakfast was included in the booking) we were told there is a buffet by night by their staff, so we booked and both night there is no buffet and we cannot go to the other restaurant outside of one because we didn't book( yes but who told us there is buffet) Our water the next day weren't refiil . In summary that very sad because the hotel itself and surrounding is amazing, but the worst customer service I never experience for 1500 USD for 2 nights I expected at least a decent customer service. Once again I advice you to go pearl farm if you want a nice luxury resort with a nice customer experience…
Costing more than double the best hotel in manila, we arrived 3pm, room not ready but you can have buffet lunch for Php1200. Room had one chair and no table (desk only), and a large empty space where it would've been. Only tea, coffee and sugar are free. All else you pay for. Five restaurants but you must make a reservation, and every visit only had a few people. The portable aircoolers in the Garden resto couldn't keep up so we ask to turn the ceiling fans on. No Sir, they are broken. All 12 of them? At lunch I ordered a pizza. Sorry, Pizza's no available. Our reservation for dinner - steak not available at Steakhouse resto, so we reserved the Japanese resto. Sorry Sir, half of the menu is not avaiulable. That left us with 6 choices. Hopwever they insisted we make our order for dinner during our lunch so they can prepare. We booked for 7 and was told we needed to be out by 8. The only other customers also told similar stories to ours. We hired a jet ski. Top speed 14kph for first 15min. When I complained, a secret key appeared and we could then do 45kph. Bikes are free, but sorry sir, limited number only. Every was provided on an economy scale to reduce hotel costs. The marketing gets you in and the price reflects a 7 star luxury but in reality it was 3 star amenities at best. Everything was geared to ensure economy for the management. That said, it is a simply beautiful location and island. But value for money I would never go again.…
Please i beg you train the customer service team to reply faster and to actually memorize the information. Whenever i ask a question they either: A) say “i dont know, il ask someone else and get back to you later” then get back to me 1 week later B) send an unrelated link that doesnt answer my question at all The customer service (the people in charge of responding to messages, emails, texts, etc) sometimes take a week to respond, sometimes dont even respond and need to be followed up, and sometimes give lazy replies that dont make any sense or dont answer the question. There are already so many bad reviews about the customer service but why isnt the resort doing anything to change the system? Are we just gonna keep this bad service on cycle forever? Please do something to fix this or your customers wont be returning. Honestly I love the resort but when I tried planning a surprise trip for my girlfriend, I was very challenged by the customer service that made every step and transaction very stressful. I’m sorry but I backed out and won’t be returning. I’ll take my girlfriend elsewhere. But if the resort fixes their customer service system, maybe me and my girlfriend will come back next year. Was not expecting much from Sunlight but they exceeded my expectatiins. The resort was just beautiful. The beaches were divine, fine white sand with clean ans clear Garbage Free Water, amazing reefs around the island, no need anymore to go far. Food was good, though there were some dishes that needed some tweaking. Staff were friendly and attentive. Wifi was a bit slow and not all areas covered but was not really an issue. The room we got, the Studio was spacious, clean and cool, beds were comfortable. Balcony gives you an amazing view of the sea. They also have a Gym, KTV, different Restaurants though you have to reserve for the Hotpot, Steak Room, Shabu Shabu and Teppanyaki Room. It was overall an immensely enjoyable stay!
