The view all around is phenomenal!!! Such an awesome place! Very clean, well maintained, and excellent staff! The food and drinks - delish and well prepared! Wide selection at breakfast place — with fresh buko juice and double espresso! Big big plus for me. Try the Salpicao. It’s yummy! Luna bar and mangrove serving the cocktail with ube cream — super yuminess!!! The executive chef - marlon ahorro — his recommendations on what to eat and drink are spot on!!! Ask for him when you dine. The rooms!!! What a treat! We had a cluster villa with the glass floors. It is such a sight ! We will definitely be back!!!

Best place to rest, have fun & enjoy not only for its amazing facilities, but also for the remarkable and friendly service of the resort staff. The resort is absolutely guest friendly with bikes to tour around and water stations everywhere.

This is a beautiful location and the staff are nice but the property is poorly managed. Large tour groups fill the island and so if you are not with one of the tour groups be prepared to listen to their parties and karaoke all night long. In addition the food is pretty bad, limited overall and seems to be focused on only Chinese options. Our family could not sleep because of the late night beach karaoke and so decided to cut our vacation short and the resort refused to refund any of the nights we did not use.

We just checked in after an exhausting day of travel. We hotel transfer and speedboat went well, and the staff were all great. When we arrived at the resort, we were greeted with welcome drinks and a heartwarming performance. Sadly it all went downhill from there. 1) Service - this was hit or miss. Some staff members were wonderful; others simply didn’t belong in a luxury resort. 2) Food - read the other reviews about the bland and overpriced food. Believe them (and me). 3) Cleanliness and maintenance - The items above, I can overlook and forgive. But I cannot look past the disgusting bathroom. I don’t feel comfortable using this bathroom, especially the sink. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. At USD500/night, we expect the property, food, and services to be of a higher caliber. After just having stayed at Discovery Shores Boracay, where everything was up to our standards, I regret not having booked their sister resort in the Coron area, Club Paradise. I intend to speak with a manager tomorrow and will update this review accordingly.

Am Back!!! So let us start this year reviewing SUNLIGHT ECO TOURISM ISLAND RESORT. This resort is located in Culion Island in Coron, about 40 - 45 minutes from Coron town by speed boat. Like in any other islands in the Philippines , this island resort in itself has beautiful pristine beach, clean, blue water, quiet ambience, super nicely surrounded by islets here and there.. BUT BUT BUT...This resort isn't finish yet. Kung nabudol kayo sa IG stories of ANNE CURTIS and SOLEEN HEUSEUFF, PAREHO TAYO!!! Am following these celebrities on IG and saw their posts about these resort so I booked it since it seems very new and super nice... LOO AND BEHOLD!!! IT IS NICE BUT THE PRICE WE PAID PER NIGHT ISN'T AT PAR WITH ANYTHING THIS RESORT HAS TO OFFER : HIMAY-HIMAYIN NATIN PO : 1. Airport transfers/car/speedboat ALL GOOD. 2. Upon check in, under staff obviously (considering Holy Week is the busiest anywhere in the world when it comes to tourism, dapat the owner alam ito so should have hired/trained/oriented enough staff to accommodate guests). 3. NOBODY from the check in staff have the complete outlook of which restaurants open or even aware what is supposedly to be informed for the guests to know..Okay, no butler kind of expertise but the least for check in staff is to orient the guests about the resort.. NOPE! NADA..! SO WE WERE LEFT TO FIND OUT FOR OURSELVES....RED FLAG! 4. Food sucks at MANGROVE restaurant (a Filipino restaurant at that) but really sucks, seasoning bland, freshness of the kilawin, nope..well, the pinakbet was ok but the overall food taste was really disappointing. 5. SUN CAFE as the breakfast restaurant, very very basic. The disappointing part of course is that seems the staff are not at all trained. From cleaning, to refilling plates, refilling food, making eggs, tidying up the coffee area, etc etc etc... 6. SUPER LIMITED choice of food. WE are in their own island resort so you cannot just go out and find good food somewhere so dapat the resort has ALL YOU NEED FOOD WISE.. NOPE... They have specialty restaurants that you need TO BOOK to eat. BUT SINCE THE CHECK IN STAFF DID NOT INFORM US NOR ORIENT US ABOUT THE RESORT, NO CLUE ABOUT THIS SYSTEM UNTIL WE TALKED TO CK FROM DIVE SHOP ABOUT THAT SYSTEM .. TSK TSK TSK... 7. VERY VERY LIMITED ON FOOD CHOICES, EMPHASISING THIS AS WE ARE QUITE AT LOST WITH HOW THIS RESORT WANTS TO POSITION ITSELF IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY IN PHILIPPINES. MIND YOU, WE PAID MORE THAN USD 350/ night for a STUDIO SINGLE VILLA.. 8. Now talking about our stay in their STUDIO VILLA : - House tilts on water, nice.. PERIOD. - TV does not work. Like not work (no channels, remote does not move at all, in Chinese even etc.. - GOOD WIFI though so we just want NETFLIX in our laptop, PERIOD. - HOUSEKEEPING is always a miss... Understaff or not trained , take your pic.. - COFFEE MACHINE available in Chinese instruction but you need to buy from the ground coffee... ha ha.. - GOT INSTANT COFFEE and has dried up inside the sachet so if you pour that into the cup, it looked more like dirt that was dried up.. - HOUSEKEEPING staff needs to be told what to clean (left the mini bar counter top as is even if the ground coffee filter is full of use coffee that needs cleaning..).. - TOWEL QUALITY, mabango but almost yellowish ang colour.. - Shower drainage, strange system that the floor is piled with a big chunk of tile maybe to avoid slipping of sort.. At some point, the water almost overflowed around it.. The drainage cannot handle the blockage but somehow sometime the water drained.. - Don't let me post picture of our extra bed, disappointing but we need it anyway.. 9. BUILDING STRUCTURE OF ALL VILLA STILTS nice to look at from afar... But if you get closer and see the structure, you see the low quality of constructions etc... 10. THE RESORT ISNT FINISHED YET.. PERIOD.. Whoever owns this resort, please invest on overall staff training, food and beverage services, food quality, etc etc etc.. THESE WHOLE RESORT NEEDS SERIOUS UPBRINGING TO HOW A SEMI OR FULL LUXURY RESORT WILL BE.. The owner obviously has the money but instead of paying big money to influencers/celebrities (probably works though as marketing ), please invest on hiring a management company who knows how to get THIS RESORT AT PAR with the other resorts in Palawan or at least in Coron... We stayed 5 nights, always a mystery and a gamble where to eat for dinner every night.. But the TEPPANYAKI chef Nestor has made our dinner at least super! Kudos to Manager Eugene is hearing our complaints, feedback, observations on the resort but I just felt to write this review anyway.. SALAMAT PO but TAPUSON NIYO MUNA ANG RESORT AND DECIDE ON WHO WILL BE YOUR MARKET. BUT PAYING PHP 25K PER night, NOPE.. OVERPRICED.. TOTALLY..NOT AT PAR EVEN WITH SOME 3 STARs resorts in other parts of Asia...

We had a wonderful time in SETIR! The staff were very friendly and helpful. They welcomed us with warm greetings and all smiles. The moment we stepped out of Busuanga airport, up until we were ready for boarding back home to Davao, they assisted us all the way. The villas were well kept with complete amenities. We enjoyed taking photos in the picturesque Sirakan village. The food and drinks were superb! I personally loved the beef stroganoff from the Island Garden restaurant, the milky way cocktail from Luna bar, the chicken inasal from Mangrove, and all of the breakfast selection from Sun Café. Please expect us to be your returning guests in the future. SETIR is highly recommended for a truly relaxing experience away from the busy city life. A hidden gem amongst the beautiful islands in Palawan.

The pick up from the airport to the boat then to the resort. You are welcomed with people dancing, music, drinks. Definitely felt welcomed before I even stepped foot on the island. It was a family holiday and wished we stayed here longer than Boracay. The staff are very friendly. Always have a smile on the face any time of the time. Food and price of their food is great being on an island. Water is complimentary in our over the water villa, which definitely cost a lot cheaper compared to boracay. Unfortunately the yacht is broken and we were not able to book it, my brother was definitely looking forward on being on the yacht. The staff was able to give us a tour of the yacht so we can see what we were missing out on! LOL bikes are available to ride for free around the island but if you’re feeling lazy there are golf carts/buggies to take you around the island. Definitely recommend this resort in Palauan!
