A good hotel to take a break going to banaue
This is 1 of the 2 hotels in San Jose, N.E. that i recommend to my visitors to spend the night when i pick them up at the airport. I like the room and the price is quite cheap. The reception staff is friendly. Don't expect much of a service... the hotel has less than 6 staff.

Hem ucuz, hem temiz. Yeri çok iyi. Portonun tam merkezinde. Özellikte öğrenciyseniz, ucuz bir yere ihtiyacınız varsa memnun kalacağınızdan eminim. Tek kötü ve garip yanı çalışanlarının İngilizce bilmemesi. Onu da google translate ve el kol hareketleriyle hallediyorsunuz. :)

hotel como para pasar una noche cuando uno esta de paso
Es un buen hotel como para pasar la noche cuando uno esta viajando. Las habitaciones son amplias, no asi el baño. Tiene los servicios q deberia tener por precio. Como a/a, wi-fi, cochera y tv por cable. El desayuno deja bastante q desear, pero esta incluido. Y uno puede ordenar comida a la habitacion.

Maintenance is subpar
Next time I am in San Jose City, I might have to go elsewhere. I have been here at least thrice before. The first time was about 2010 when the hotel was new. However, this last time had a toilet that doesn't flush and remnants of a broken soap dish on the shower wall. The air conditioning can get cold but blankets are warm enough. I have always thought of Porto Novo as a place just to spend the night on a journey. That hasn't changed, except that the most recent experience isn't so good at all. The free breakfast is only for one and if you have a companion, the other one has to buy breakfast. There is the Marquez Restaurant nearby open from 7 AM to 7 PM and Walter Mart Mall where there are some fast food chains nearby. I'll probably find another place in San Jose City to stay for a night next time.
