I have enjoyed staying in this hotel when I visited Ereğli. It is close to city center, a museum, and the popular parks by the sea. You can be amazed by the friendly seagulls. The breakfast is sufficient and the hotel is clean. The staff is friendly.
Wake up to balcony views across the Black Sea. Great value hotel with superb location on the waterfront. English speaking management, helpful staff who will help you with everything you need. Strongly recommended. I will return. :-)
First, the staff was very helpful and friendly but that is the only positive I can say. Cons - As soon as we opened the door to the room we were assaulted by the smell of stale cigarettes. Our clothes continued to reeked of it. The bathroom had black mold on the ceiling. The bed was ok and the sheets were clean. The restaurant below and the Black Sea walkway was loud with people singing and talking till late at night-early morning.
The rooms need updating, the breakfast is very basic, the location is excellent. There is no restaurant or bar, so you need to go outside and downstairs to the restaurant, which is pretty good and good value for money.
Finding a hotel in northern Turkey which accepts (let alone welcomes) pets is not at all easy! The people in this this lovely little beach hotel are super friendly, and made me (dog), and my cat, feel much at home. Speaking English was no problem (this is not to be expected in northern Turkey). Buffet breakfasts were fine but otherwise meals had to be found outside (no problem ... lots of good restaurants nearby). Parking during the day difficult but hotel staff try to help by reserving spaces (in the evening there is no problem). Definately to be recommended!
