Detailed Reviews
Located right in the centre of town. I was met by the owner Carlos who informed me that he had a group staying in my prepaid delux double room and that I had been upgraded to the Executive room. No complaint from me especially as the Executive room was at ground level.
The Executive room is like a studio apartment including nick knacks all around. It takes up all the ground floor. Spacious, even the hot water shower is a separate room tot he toilet. The king size bed with clean linens and a multitude of pillows is surrounded by a mahogany timber frame with built in drawers. Very, very comfortable.
There was also a table and two chairs. Lighting was good. The large curved TV was loaded with Netflix. A decent size fridge and a water station (hot and cold). A power point is conveniently located next to the bed for recharging. Internet date and wifi both okay.
There is a small porch area between the front door and the street but big enough to fit a small table and chair. Just a suggestion.
Shout out to Carlos for his hospitality and advice. It is not often you go out to dinner with a hotel owner and other guest(s).
As a solo travelerI don't splurge on fancy hotels and I don't think I will be so fortunate again to stay in a room as comfortable as this was. I rarely give 5 stars but this place was a standout. I'm still counting my blessings lol.

The room is very well-designed. Romblon is known for marbles, I appreciate that they added them to their interiors. A unique place to stay than just a plain concrete building. Aside from that, I was able to sleep well. The bed was big enough for me and very comfy. The place is pristine and clean. You can request new towels, laundry, and housekeeping from them. There were minor problems such as water pressure but also consider that you're on the island. Not everything is accessible. Everything met my needs and expectations. It's worth experiencing Romblon after all.
Regarding Carlo's restaurant, their pricing is reasonable since they also cook it nicely. My favorite from the menu is the double cheeseburger. They were using 100% pure beef which could be around Php500 in other cities or other 5-star hotels with w/restaurants in ph. At Smōhk restaurant it's Php225 with fries already.
I know for a fact that people in the Philippines are hospitable and service is expected to be superb. But Carlos is different, he is very hands-on with his business. I haven't tried to check in a hotel with full service and accommodation like this. He is very accommodating and he treated his staff like family. Staffs are nice as well, some might can't speak English fluently but they're trying their best to provide a very good service.

THANK YOU! I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay and that you can appreciate proper customer service. We strive our best to make all of our guests happy but, unfortunately, you can make some of the people happy all of the time, and you can make all of the people happy some of the time but you can't make all the people happy all the time. But we our best! Great pictures too! Cheers! Sincerely, Carlos

Perfect location, near the main restaurants, stores and port, 5 mins form the main beaches and market.
Impeccable cleanliness and well maintained room amenities, overall the room quality may be considered superior to many larger hotel chains in big cities.
To say the host is very accommodating is quite an understatement, his spontaneous willingness to help combined with his knowledge of the region are a guarantee for a wonderful experience. Thanks!

Q/ What is a girl to do when her 5 week holiday just isn't allowed to come to an end?
A/ She stays at Stone Creek House and relaxes.
It's always tough to say goodbye to beautiful Romblon but never more so
when your 5 week holiday unexpectedly turns into 17 weeks....
Due to Covid19, when most of the world went into lockdown, I was extremely fortunate to be staying at Stone Creek House, so home comforts and relaxation was guaranteed.
Carlos, my friend and owner, immediately upgraded me to the penthouse suite,so not only did I have a fabulous ensuite bedroom, with the added treat of aircon and a fan but also sole use of the lounge, kitchen and rooftop terrace.
As the days turned into weeks and curfew was enforced the 60" screen with Netflix and the rooftop terrace with BBQ facilities and seating became my new best friends.
By May, with the temperature hitting high 30's it was such a relief to sit in the fan cooled lounge, sipping water from the chilled water dispenser during the day and ice cold San Miguel's from the huge fridge in the evening.
Lovely smiley Irene kept the place nice and tidy and regularly brought fresh bedding and towels at my request.
Never being one to sleep well I can honestly say that some of my best nights sleep were during lockdown. Whether it was the very comfortable bed with the cool cotton sheets, the pillows filled with local cotton or the cooling aircon, I don't know. Most likely it was all of these combined with a sense of feeling extremely relaxed and safe at what was a very unsettling time.
By June and now holding the record for being the longest staying guest, news came that a passenger ferry was arriving.
My memories of lockdown will always be my time spent on beautiful Romblon, in the best accommodation, where attention to detail never waivered, even when the going got tough.
Top maths Carlos. You've made a hotel of which you can be truly proud.

Thank YOU for the wonderful review, Katie! Groundhog Day was an absolute pleasure to spend with you. It was so funny trying to recall what day it was over ice cold beers or choosing what film to watch next for movie night. Thank God for Netflix and fast internet! And it's a 65' UHD 4K TV, thank you very much! Cya next year! Cheers!

We had a decent stay at Stone Creek House. Carlos, the owner of Stone Creek house & Smohk restaurant went out of his way to welcome us. The hotel is located in town centre and there’s plenty of shops around you. It’s also walking distance from the port. Carlos also kindly helped us find a local guide with a tricycle at a reasonable price. We had a few meals at SMOHK restaurant which is a couple of minutes walk down the road and it was great. They serve pizzas & burgers and sometimes Carlos does special smoked meats which we had the opportunity to try.
Thank you so much Carlos for the great hospitality. Appreciate it.

If you stay in Romblon long enough or even a short period of time, is known that they have a problem of lack of water, and that makes all the difference in stone creek, this place does not only provide running water all the time but even warm showers (in this raining season it comes in handy)
The room had all the amenities you will need, the staff is amazing and will go out of its way to make you feel welcomed. I felt this since the first day as they pick me up from the pier and Carlos, the owner, will make sure you feel as comfortable as possible during your hole stay.
I will recommend this place a thousand times.

The appartment is well located in town but the price is very high in relation to other better places in the town or island.
The bathroom and kitchen weren't clean enough, and the shower had very little water.
It is absolutely not a 9,9 in trypadvisor, same with the restaurant; don't understand the quotation.

Thank you for your review. I personally assisted you with your itinerary from Manila > Batangas > Odiongan > San Augustin, gave you a free room upgrade, and then also personally organized your early check-in from 5am until I actually picked you up from the pier at 8:30am. Throughout this delay I was communicating with you the whole time via WhatsApp. I then provided you with full service for the duration of your stay even when some of your demands would be considered high maintenance. I also organized all your ferry and boat tickets and transfers before finally personally dropping you off at the pier. Nevertheless it seems that you did not enjoy your stay with us and for this I am sincerely sorry. I would also like to apologize for the water pressure not being acceptable to you. At the end of the day I hope that where I failed as a host; the Island itself came through and provided you with a memorable holiday. Thank you.

Stone Creek House is in a great location in the centre of town surrounded by shops. It's easy to catch a tricycle to the island's key spots. The room itself has everything you need; air con, en suite and a comfortable living space. The owner is extremely helpful and caring, ensuring you make the most of your visit to Romblon. He will help you in any way you can and is able to get you anything you need. Also, if you stay here you get a discount at the restaurant Smohk where you can eat delicous food and cold beers in the company of friendly locals.

I stayed two weeks at Stone Creek House and everything was perfect. The location is central surrounded by many shops and tricycle drivers to go around the island.
The room is clean and well equipped. There’s a TV, Ac, private bathroom, mineral water and a mini fridge. The bed is comfortable and there’s enough space to keep the luggage.
Carlos has always been willing to help wether it’s the arrival, tours around the island or just keeping your company at Smōhk Restaurant.
The staff is amazing and kind. I cannot complain about anything. 100% recommended!!

Located conveniently in Romblon, short walk to the centre and shops all around. Comfortable bed, clean and hygienic amenities. Got upgraded to the penthouse apartment- so much space here and a nice little rooftop to chill on.
Carlos is a great host and will make sure you have a good time on Romblon- helped me organise scooter hire for cheap, island tour, and picked me up and took to me to ferry when I left. Don't hesitate to stay here!
