As experienced divers, we were very impressed with the marinelife (ghost melibes - butterfly nudis - blue ringed octopus - frogfishes...) and we were certainly impressed with this dive centre! JD and Jojo are great spotters and very nice guys to talk to. We also found the lunchbreaks at Sunset Cove super. Ronny, the owner, and his team make you feel very welcome. Also a special thanks to Amy from the Inn for her hospitality.
Location was good - 3-5 minutes walking from the port (pier). Don't count with WiFi if you are staying on the 3rd floor. The room was clean, bathroom was clean. The staff wasn't nice at all, but didn't affect our stay - they were helpful anyway. The double room was small but ok for the price we paid.
I had a great time learning how to scuba dive with ma'am Charo and her crew. I got to see a variety of marine life including 3 turtles, nemo and his family. I definitely recommend them. See you soon Romblon Fun Divers 😁!
The Inn is close to the charming town centre with a wide range of food options, so you will not go hungry. The reception staff are very friendly, staying late to check us in from our delayed ferry. The room was comfortable, with quality linens, hot shower and quiet Aircon. The WiFi was fine, and the free drinking water was a welcome touch. The diving was easy, and there was plenty of macro life to keep us occupied for days. Dive guides know their stuff, and are sensitive to marine life and are careful not to disturb or manipulate creatures. A surprise was to have the lunch between dives on the day trip served at the resort on Alad Island, which was a luxurious place to spend a surface interval. A well run operation that deserves to do well.
I'd known the owner from El Nido so I was not worried about the dive equipment and how the dive was conducted and I was proved right. Ronny helped to procure ferry tickets for me because the 2go Staterooms/Suites was not available online. Arrived at Romblon fully rested and able to dive less than 2 hours after arrival. Great hospitality from Ronny and family, including the staff he had. Most of my meals was with either Ronny and family or his staff. As I was travelling alone, I greatly appreciate that. The amazing and weird Nudibranches was what attracted me to Romblon. Jairom was amazing in finding almost perfectly camouflaged nudis. Had the opportunity to explore the rest of Romblon on electric motorcycles direct from the Inn. The rooms at the Inn was clean and very well put together. Ronny has a new Resort on Alad, a nearby Island. Had a look around at the resort and it looks fantastic. Overall a very nice experience! Would definitely visit again.…
I had 2 weeks diving with Ronny and his team and I had a fantastic time both in and out of the water. The dive boat was well thought out and entry and exit were realativelly easy for a speed boat. We received a comprehensive boat and dive brief with safety being the main concern. The dive sites had a great collection of macro on them with ghost nudibranch and pigmy seahorses. The hotel was in a great location and the rooms were clean and comfortable I had a room with a sea view. I would thourouughly recomend this place to all travelers
I did my PADI Advanced course with Romblon Fun Divers and it was an amazing experience. The diving in Romblon is breathtaking and the friendliness of the staff made it even better. My instructor Charolyn was the best. She took the course seriously while making sure the dives were fun and educational, couldn't have asked for more. The staff on the boat and divemaster Jairom were great as well, making me feel very welcome. Additionally all their equipment is brand new. Would definitely recommend Romblon Fun Divers and if I ever get the chance to go back to Romblon I will definitely go diving with them again.
The rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful. As always I had a great time with Ronny and his family. The location is very good as the pier and all the restaurants and shops are in very short walking distance. The dive shop is very professional with new equipment, a great speed boat and a very good dive master who showed me all the interesting little critters around Romblon. I will definitely come back for another visit. Thanks to the whole team for the wonderful stay!
I started inquiring a week before arriving at Romblon, during a busy holiday season, yet they were quick and clear with their responses to our email messages. I availed of a package which included 2 dives, coffee, lunch -- we were pretty happy with everything they provided. They accommodated our group of 8 divers plus a few non-divers on 2 boats. We were accompanied by 2 DMs and 1 DM-in-training. Their well-equipped dive shop provided some of our group with complete gear which all looked new. Their dive boat was also impressive, nicely set up, with a powerful on-board motor. The lunch was home-cooked and hearty. For our SIT in between dives, they took us to a nearby sandbar where the non-divers were picnicking and grilling their meal. End-to-end, a very pleasant and fun experience. Would highly recommend!…
We were on a family vacation. There were of 7 but only 2 of us are divers. Ronny, his family and staff went the extra miles to cater for all of us. We had fun diving, my family enjoyed all the land tours & we had great experiences in island hopping. The accommodation is only a short walk to all the local restaurants & shops which is really convenient. We had many opportunities to meet the locals, try various international cuisines & experience island's daily life. Christmas and New Year's Eve at Romblon Fun Divers were some of the memorable moments of our trip. The staff (Aimee, Jairom & others) organised the venue within the building on the rooftop for us to celebrate & spend quality time together as a family which was really special. We had the best view of the town & the ocean. It was spectacular and truly special. Diving was amazing. It was my ultimate dream to find the Melibe Colemani nudibranch. I travelled to many dive destinations but couldn't find this special, weird looking nudibranch until I came to Romblon where we found many of them on the very first dive on the very first day of the trip. I was amazed by the experience buut it didn't stop there. Jairom, with his extensive knowledge of the local dive sites, found many other special critters such as the Melibe Digitata, butterfly nudibranch, other nudibranch of various types, frogfishes and many tiny critters perfect just for my camera with macro settings. Island hopping was also special. We had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful beaches on different islands, snorkeling, swimming with turtles, cliff jumping and simply enjoy the boat rides. We had lunch on the beach, the boat and some days we were also drilling the chicken on the beach. It was such a great family activity and we were lucky enough to visit most of the islands during our time in Romblon. Overall, it was a great family trip. We had fun and brought back so many great memories with us. Thanks to Ronny, his wife Charo (? - Charo, my apologies if I'm misspelling your name) & son Noa and staff who treated us as of their own family. …
