Located approximately 100 km south of the city of Cebu, it has come under new ownership and management as of July 2013, therefore we would appreciate it if you would take into account that any negative reviews of Voda Krasna before July 2013 do not apply to its current state. Voda Krasna has undergone a multitude of renovations and changes since its turnover and we are hopeful for the future, especially with the newly built bar and additional rooms, which will allow us to accommodate and satisfy more visitors. Currently, we have 3 villas, 4 standard rooms, 3 sea view suites and 4 beach huts available for rent. We also have beach tables and tent rentals for day use or overnight camping.

Rooms were borderline tacky and bathroom divider was made out of cheap plastic walling. We didn’t get our room cleaned for the entire 3 nights we stayed. Many small detail issues and if you are coughing up more than 100 $$ per night there is better value elsewhere to find. Bar guys were very nice and personal, beach is beautiful

Vodakrasna is by far the best hotel my wife and I have ever stayed at. It shows its 3 star hotel, but we have stayed at many 5 star hotels before where their services were not even close to voda krasna. From their manager Chris to Mae who served us you will not find anyone who comes close to their commitment to the customers happiness. I would recommend this place to everyone around the world. All their staff are very friendly and will try and make your stay as nice and comfortable as possible. Their rooms are immaculate, beaches and water are beautiful.

My friends and I spend our mini-reunion here.

The beach has no big rocks and the water is very clean.
The sunrise and sunset here is perfect as well!
The beach, the cottage and the location is fantastic and would like to comeback here again soon.

We came to this resort as a walk-in customer. I'm so pissed off with the owner of the resort who is a foreigner (not certain about his nationality) who did not even welcomed us nicely when we arrived. He demanded right away for the payment of the cottage which costs P1,400 for day use ( 10am-5pm ONLY) and additionally charged us P300 as corkage fee for bringing in food, which we obliged. They don't even have a decent menu selection.

My brother together with 5 of his friends joined us at around 3pm. They were asked to pay P140 each plus another corkage for bringing in food. We already paid for the cottage and corkage so why do they need to pay again.

I talked to the owner and tried to negotiate that our cottage can accommodate at most 10 people, so it would be fair to just pay for the the excess 3 persons or get a table which is good for 4 and waive the corkage fee because anyway we are together as a group. I talked to him nicely but all of a sudden he's talking bad words.. I told him that the food brought by my brother are part of the group's food. He insisted that another corkage fee would be charged because my brother brought additional food.

And by the way, he is so quick to send his assistant to tell us that we need to check out at 5pm (we arrived at 1pm). Take note, their cottage do not qualify as a hotel. The shoreline is not routinely cleaned up.

It would be better if he give the management to somebody else who values the customer and know the real meaning of customer service.

Voda Krasna's only redeeming quality aside from the beautiful white sands and pristine water is the warmth and hospitality of the staff which is ironic since the resort's management does not have an ounce of proper guest relations in their system.

We came to this resort for our company team building and we were treated poorly by the resort owner and his wife. They were planning to charge us P7,800.00 more for our stay since they were accusing us to have more than 4 people in the room that we rented out. The owner's wife was pretty confident claiming that we were seen on their camera but then they could not show us the security cam's clip.

If you are planning to visit Alcoy, DO NOT choose this resort! They will bleed you dry of your money with the corkage, extra charges and their merchandise prices are out of this world! Plus the free breakfast for the occupants of their villas just does not match the price you would have to pay for staying the night.

Pros:
1. Amazing Beach. (Thanks to this at least!)

Cons:
1. NO WATER - We woke up at 3am & found out that there's no water. They had to get it from an outside supply to have their water tank full. We had no choice but to wait. The place was pricey so I expected that they already addressed this situation.
2. BATHROOM UTILITIES NOT WORKING - Water Closet/Toilet Bowl didn't flush. Shower was not working properly. Water heater was not consistent, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, we needed to reset it a few times.
3. HIDDEN CHARGES - Before we came here, I phoned them to clarify about their charges, from extra person to corkage fee. We were 10 pax total. They said, the 9th-10th person were the extra person or as long as we didn't asked for extra bed, there would be no extra charges. Another thing, 500 corkage fee for the whole stay. When we checked out, I was shocked when they mentioned our room wasn't paid (I made an advance booking and paid it thru paypal), the receptionist told me that they didn't received the payment. They also charged us for 1000 php corkage fee since we brought a whole lechon. If it's not lechon, it be 500 php only. They should have clarified it in the first place if that's the case. Then, charged us for 4 extra persons including our 2 driver which didn't slept at our room.

this is one of the worst resorts I have ever been.well ist not a resort, its just ok for a overnight stay beside the road..there is no beach..its a dirty and rocky shoreline where you realy don't like to go inside the water. maybe some locals like that but not a tourist or foreigner living here. the restaurant close at 8pm because the staff want to go home..if you want a beer for your dinner..sorry out of stock..if you eat a lunch or snack on the dirty table infront of your bungalow you can be shure that the plates and food leftover is still there next day. folding chairs no foam or anything, very uncomfortable and the worst is the whole evening and starting again next day at 9am you get terrorized by the different karaokes just below the place...its absolutely horrible to spend any time there

Very disappointing hotel that seems to trade on its location on the beautiful Tingko beach. Rooms lacked basic facilities that would be expected in a hotel of its supposed standard, e.g. no wardrobe, no desk, no safe, no laundry facilities (despite being advertised), no balcony or sitting out area, only a weak electric shower, no daily room cleaning, no swimming pool and, almost unbelievably in 2018, no wifi in the room (and with very poor wifi in the public areas). And yet for this, the hotel has the cheek to charge over US$100 per night!

Key selling point for the hotel is its position on Tingko beach. Whilst the beach is undoubtedly beautiful, it is fairly small and hence crowded at busy times; it is also partially backed by the busy coastal highway. Worst of all, there were extremely loud karaoke machines operating on the beach whose noise permeated virtually the entire beach and also the hotel. The karaoke started as early as 7.00 am and went on until 10.00 pm, hence no chance of peace either on the beach or in the hotel. Note, stairs down to the lower rooms and beach were steep and dangerous.

Staff were friendly, as you would expect in the Philippines, but unwilling to go beyond their basic duties, e.g. to help organise trips, hire motorbikes etc. There seemed little evidence of an owner/manager keeping an eye on things and ensuring guests were happy. Food was below average for the Philippines which means poor by international standards. Cocktails were, however, good.

Overall, with a price cut of two thirds and avoiding weekends, holidays and other busy periods, the hotel may be a worthwhile option, but otherwise best avoided.

My friend and I went to cebu (side trip). I was on my way home to Leyte while he is on his way yo Manila. We went to Osmena Peak in the morning and decided to hit the beach of Alcoy, Cebu in the afternoon before going back to Cebu City where I was to ride a slow boat back to Leyte while he flies to Manila. We got off the Ceres bus and paid 105 (from the Cebu South Bus Terminal) and we decided to spend the next 2 hrs in Voda Krasna. It is the newest resto-resort in Alcoy. It's still under construction but guests are already seen at their resto which is over looking a cliff which offers a vies of the powdery very light brown sand. Sometimes in photos, its white but in reality, it is light brown sand. It is not like other beaches where dead corals abounds. Its just sand. we look at the menu and it was acceptable but for passers-by like us, they dont offer much. they made us pay 300 pesos for a table and 4 chairs to be setted at the coast line. it has a perfect view of the sea. yet, that rate was fixed. Either u stay for 30 mins to 24 hrs. They offer cottages i think its 1000 up. depending on the capacity. They dont have entrance fee. Dinning then dipping at the beach is also not allowed. You have to rent a table or a cottage to be able to stay. However, clients at the neighboring resorts can freely cross their cost line. there are even vendors vending puto, torta, even shades, hammocks to belts! while you try to chill at ur chair facing the tranquil sea. There is much to improve to this resort. if they are open to improvement and be client-center. They must be able to adjust to the needs of their clients to draw more and they must not allow vendors to roam their coastline :(

I like Voda Krasna because of:
1. The beautiful white sands.
2. Huge cottages for travellers in group.

What I hate:
1. Over charging. They charged us extra tables (P900) because we added 3 pax and only reserved 20 for 2 cottages. Ironic because we werent given any tables.
2. The CRs have no ventilations.
3. Food from the menu are sooooooo expensive.
4. You can not purchase any supplies, (water, towels, etc), without visiting the town (5 mins away).

What I advised:
1. They add a lot of extra charges when you call for reservation. Just take a risk and visit the resort as a walk in guest.
2. Bring enough supplies and food. They have no water, towels, etc for sale.
3. Bring pillows, comforter, sleeping bag, etc if you're planning to get the P2000 cottage. It's very cold at night.

Hi Soh A. From the airport, Voda Krasna is approximately 4-5 hours commute. There are a lot of rent-a-car companies on the arrival area. However, i would recommend that you contact Voda directly. I know that they also arrange airport pick up/drop off.
