Matutinao Beach and Cottages is perfect for a family stay. The rooms are functional. They have air conditioning and hot water. The mattress, pillows, and bed sheets are very comfortable. There is plenty of space to store your luggage. There is even a desk. The food at the restaurant is delicious. They provide purified water. We really enjoyed our canyoneering experience at Alegria Falls with our tour guide, Christopher. He took great pictures and gave us great tips during our entire stay. He made sure we were safe at all times. My family and I can’t wait to return to canyoneer Kawasan Falls when it re-opens. Matutinao Beach and Cottages is 5 minutes from Alegria Falls, <2 hour drive to Tumalog Falls and Oslob to swim with the whale sharks, and <30 minutes away from Moalboal for swimming with sardines and turtles. There is a 7/11 store and panederia 5 min walk away. The Wi-Fi is strongest in the outdoor seating area and weak in the rooms. One thing the rooms would benefit from is a mini fridge to keep cold water for after a day of adventures. I will definitely be staying here again! Thank you Christoper, Mary Ann, and Chuchi for a wonderful stay!

Needed a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of Cebu City and this was the perfect resort for that peace and quiet by the sea that I was looking for. The room was pleasingly open and had a nice shower with option for electrically -heated tankless shower water with a rain shower head. The porch outside the room door is just right for reading and relaxing with a small table and chairs. The staff were very nice and provided quality customer service. The breakfast was excellent and refreshing. I had excellent Canyoneering experiences with their expert guides in past trips so I opted to just relax by the sea for this trip. We had a great relaxing swim in nearby Lambug Beach. It rained at the beach which was perfect for cooling off and providing cloud cover from the hot sun for about 30 minutes. We also took a hike up to nearby Osmena Peak which had breathtaking views! My family and I loved the whole experience and plan to visit again and often.

Very accommodating. Very friendly staff. Went there for the canyoneering experience since it’s the most adjacent place for the activity. Apparently they were also offering canyoneering tour for guests. It was an awesome experience. Our tour guide Romo & Boning were very nice. They took photos professionally. We had a great overnight stay at the resort and an awesome canyoneering the next day. I highly recommend the place. With staff so friendly, I salute you guys!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Newly renovated, beach front cottages. Owners and staff makes you feel welcome and home. In inspire of bad weather and still renovating room was comfy. I’ve got everything we need. Thanks, Marianne and staffs. Do not forget to visit Lambug and White beach. Kawasan Falls is still close due to Odette landslide. You have to go on hiking canyon erring to jump to visit this place. Best time to visit is March, less rain.

I had a reservation at this place just days after lockdown. I showed up after transferring from hotel nearby and the owner would not even talk to me. He just run away from lobby leaving his staff to tell me it was not allowed to take me in. THat was a lie as my reservation was made weeks before. He even had a deposit on paypal. HE was rude on this whole process and from what I saw his place is not even special. He just leave a customer on the street. I went to my next hotel and got in with no problem as I was already in Moalboal during the week. DId he even ask me or try to be compassionate. No he just act like a Jerk. Dont go to this place. Many other options and he does not deserve any business from foreigners to act like that.

We had an unexpected vacation and we stayed here. The location is beach front and we enjoyed the sunset. Love the beauty of nature. The staff are so wonderful and we have meet the owners too. Gina and her mom. They are down to earth people and it's like going home feeling. Wish we can come more often. The convenient of being close to the Kawasan falls was a great advantage. Also we did Scuba Diving and island Hopping. Great time.

The beach is clean with white sands and gravel. It has rooms for rent. However, you need to reserve it in advance. The location is in front of the church going to the Kawasan Falls in Matutinao, Badian, Cebu.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. It was a very close walk to kawasan falls (20 min) and was the perfect location to do canyoneering. If you are in the area, GO CANYONEERING. Both of our canyon guides also had jobs at the hotel and they were very sweet. It was nice getting to know the locals for a couple days. The best part about the hotel, besides the location, is the small, all black dog who lives near there. She is an absolute sweetheart. We of course fed her our leftovers (she was only interested in the meat). She sat with us on the beach, walked across the street to the convenience store and came back and hung out with us on our patio and ate the last bits of our ice cream. The next morning at 430am, I open the door, and guess who's running up wagging her tail? I was in love.I called her "Smokey" and when I left I was so sad to say goodbye and worried about her. I want the owners to know how much my family and I loved this dog. I would stay at this hotel again just to spend time with this dog. So please don't "shoo" her away! The only issues we had was with getting the hot water working but it's not a deal breaker since there are the most gorgeous waterfalls nearby.

Location location location Located accross the street from the beautiful kawassan falls. The staff is great, the food is good at a decent price and the air is cold which is rare for philipines. Very clean rooms and size for the money.

I went here with 4 friends and we really liked it. Really cheap and worth the money with newly renovated and nice rooms. Excellent staff and ok food too! The staff arranged for us to go both to Oslob to swim with wale sharks and canyonering in Kawasan (it’s a must, incredible!!!!) in one day!! We had Carlos and John as guides and we were more than happy with the service!! If you’re looking for exploring the island for a pretty cheap price this is the place to be. Kawasan Falls is only a 15 minute walk from the hotel🌟🌟🌟
