This is an exceptional place to stay. The setting is breathtaking, the staff are helpful, hard working and delightful to interact with. The owners were on hand, very knowledgeable and friendly. The photos of the swimming pol did not do it justice - it’s fab. The little beach is rocky but the resort will provide rock shoes - lovely for swimming at high tide and rock pooling at low tide. The food was fab - plenty of choices both local and international and so flexible in terms of meal times. I wish I were back there now to see the sunset over the sparkling sea - those views!!! Great for couples, families or friends.

We stayed at Cuestas on January 2024 for 6 days and 5 nights and boy was it wonderful. We got picked up from Mactan airport by a taxi service that we booked directly from the resort. This is probably the best way to get there since they regularly use this service and know all of the drivers. It was pretty safe and makes it easier if you ever leave something in the cab. The resort is pretty small so we got to know a lot of their wonderful staff. The owners, Niki and Mogens, were always available to chat and see how the guests were doing. Jinky at the front desk was very friendly and was always so helpful everytime we had any questions about the tour packages. Lisa and the rest of the kitchen staff were all smiles everytime we saw them. Their chef even comes out to help the servers run food. You can tell that everyone was just happy to be there. The food at the restaurant was delicious. I don't think we ordered anything bad from there. I was a little skeptical about only eating at the resort but I was pleasantly surprised by the food they served. It also priced very reasonably. We got sick towards the end of our stay and I swear, their soups have healing powers. The rooms were ok. We booked the deluxe room which was pretty spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms can use a little bit of work and could use a little bit better water pressure but that was a very minor thing. The room also had a beautiful view of the sunrise from the balcony. It was something I looked forward to every day. I really can't say anything bad about Cuestas. What I could say is the tours were what made our stay. Our guides, Rico and James, were so fun, caring, and accommodating. I probably wouldn't see a prettier sunset than the one from Osmeña peak. Their canyoneering adventure was definitely a great experience. Exhausting, but very fun and unforgettable. And Oslob just left me in awe. I wouldn't be able to do any of these without Rico and James so thank you for all the unforgettable experiences. Cuestas has a very special place in my heart and I would definitely go back everytime I'm in Cebu.

Had the best 2 nights at Cuestas and wished I had an entire week there. Great location, nearby Kawasan Falls, Lambug Beach & 30min from Panagsama Beach. Had it's own beach (and cute cabanas to chill in) which meant we could do both morning and night swims easily. Nice pool as well. The room and bed was spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and restaurant had decent prices and quality food. Free breakfast as well! We did a massage on site on our first night, and even got to interact with the resident doggo and cats. The highlight, however, was the local guides. Our guides James and Roland were so kind, helpful and funny. After an experience of a lifetime during our Kawasan Falls Canyoneering Tour, they brought us through the local towns to reach Osmena Peak on a bike. The 1.5h ride up and back down after gave us the time to chat as friends and exchange info and experiences about our different cultures. Thereafter, they brought us for local food and even karaoke! Their expertise, professionalism and friendship really made our day and the entire trip, really. I wish them all the best and hope to meet them again one day :) You must stay here if you're in Cebu! MUST!!

Location: At Badian, Cebu, a 3.5h drive away from Cebu City. Grab does not cover outside of Cebu City. To reach there, you can liase with the resort for a private vehicle at 3k pesos per trip. Alternatively, what we did was to take the bus to Badian from Cebu North Terminal at 250 peso per person. Take note that the bus service will stop along the way for passengers to alight, please inform the staff on bus on exactly where you want to be dropped off at (We told them to drop us off at the small road leading to the resort as the bus goes through the main road beside the resort). Amenities: They have deluxe room which are air-conditioned for 2 people only. However as we were in a group of 3, the owner kindly let us use the family room and placed 3 beds for us inside. The hut contained a ceiling fan, a small rotating wall fan, but no air-con. However it was good enough for us as it gets really cold at night, but very hot in the day. They provided us with kettle, fresh water, toothpaste & toothbrush, cups and utensils (if asked). The toilet and shower were located at a separate building, and they are communal; at least they contained shampoo & shower gel to use. The resort itself had a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, massage chairs with massage services, and a restaurant that serve a wide variety of Filipino and international cuisine. The resort faces the sea so we could enjoy the sea breeze later in evening, and we could walked around the shore and chill by the pool benches beside the shore, watching the sunset. Alternatively, we also watched the sunset as we had dinner at the restaurant, which was like elevated above ground. Hospitality: The boss (who is a Caucasian) personally greeted us every morning at breakfast as he is usually at the restaurant. He also helped tourists to recommend and book fun activities like canyoneering, whale shark watching and island hopping. He also arranged private minivan transport to and fro Cebu City at 3000 proses per trip. Had a nice chat with him where he shared about how he came about to settle down in Philippines and setup a resort with the blessings of the villagers. I won’t share his life story here as you guys can ownself talk to him about it. Great hospitality! Overall: I would say it’s best for couples as they take the deluxe rooms which are more comfortable than the huts. Decent accommodations to stay for doing all the water activities in Cebu! Do note that there’s nothing outside of the resort as it’s in a village! But me and my friends loved the local life! We got to watch them having a Tik Tok dance competition show off and a volleyball match in the evenings. The villages is very happening one with many locals gathering to watch and they blast loud EDM music till 11pm.

We were 4 friends staying 5 days at Cuestas Beach Resort and had a very relaxed and enjoyable time. The resort was nice and clean, beautifully located on the beach. From the cute bamboo huts we had a nice view overlooking the sea with a spectacular sunset or the garden area of the resort. The staff and owners were both friendly and very accommodating. Drinks and food was tasty and ambience was great. Although it is a bit secluded we found this to be a blessing not being in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. If you feel like a change of scenery it is only a 30 min scooter ride away from Moalboal or a 10 minute ride from Lumbug Beach. Perfect getaway for couples as well as families.

Wonderful resort with the BEST FOODWe stayed in their non-aircon family room for 3 days and 2 nights. The whole resort is spacious and has a magnificent view of the sea. It has a pool, small pool table, and huts by the sea to chill in. The owners and staff were really friendly and accommodating. The main highlight for me though was their ✨FOOD✨. I cannot emphasize how surprised and delighted I was to taste their food. Everything we ordered was just delicious and at a reasonable price. I recommend trying their Chicken Schnitzel, Fish Salmon & Sisig 👌 The crepes were just to die for 🤌🤤 Will definitely come back next time! 😁

Such a bad weekend experience. The worst resort i’ve ever visited. The owner is very rude. Not a good place to have fun with family. Also the restaurant staffs are so bad, they took all our orders wrong.

We traveled around Cebu for three weeks and Cuestas is the best hotel we have ever stayed at. This is a wonderful calm and quiet place, with comfortable rooms, where there is everything you need. The owners of the hotel are wonderful friendly people, we are very glad that we got to know them. I especially want to write about the restaurant. It is just incredible! The menu is varied and everything is so delicious. This restaurant deserves three Michelin stars. Another plus is the deep pool, where you can not only swim, but also dive. The water is clean and warm. We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights but didn't want to leave. With great pleasure we will come here again!

The place where you can unwind in perfect tranquility and comfort. Away from the chaos and confusion of the city. This place has friendly and helpful staff. And serves perfectly cooked food. Located in the beautiful South Cebu, the resort is perfect for vacationers seeking a relaxing getaway, and yet not far from fun activities, such as snorkeling in the property’s private beach, falls hunting at Kawasan and Aguinid, climbing the top of Osmeña Peak of Dalaguete, and so much more!

My wife and I are currently staying here and we are really enjoying our time here. The room we are in is basic, but in a good way. It has a comfortable bed, a good shower with warm water, and everything else we need. The view from the balcony is wonderful and the sunsets are beautiful. The pool is large and great for refreshing dips to cool off from the warm sun. WiFi works well at the restaurant and the only complaint we have is no WiFi in the room, which is a minor issue. The staff is wonderful, as one should expect in The Philippines, and the food in the restaurant is delicious. We wanted a quiet place to relax that was close to some of the fun adventures here on this part of the island and Cuestas is exactly that!
