We visited Eskapo Verde Resort for the day to do some paddle boarding. The surrounding are set amounts mangroves with waterways that flow through a number of islands. We were greeted by Simon, one of the owners, who was very friendly and welcoming. Simon told us about the options available for kayaking and paddle boarding. We did an hour or so around the calm waters on the boards around the mangroves and then out into the more open sea. Really enjoyed the experience even though the wind picked up as we went round! It’s worth contacting in advance if you do want to go out on the water as the tide needs to be at least partially in for it to be possible.

Before we went out we pre-ordered some lunch which was ready soon after we got back to the restaurant. The food was very good and every dish that came out looked equally delicious as ours was. After lunch we took advantage of two of the hammocks in a shady spot before we headed back to our hotel. All in all well worth a visit.

The place is just a few minutes away from Moalboal and is accessible via bus, motorcycle, or tricycle from Moalboal town center. A great place to check after some dive.
✔️ They serve superb local food with a touch of western flavor from local farmers' produce.
✔️Environmentally sustainable practices with eco-friendly architectural designs inspired by the local nipa hut.
✔️ Very friendly staff who make you feel that you are part of the community.
✔️Water sports activities that brings you closer to the mangrove ecosystem.

Don't miss this place in your itinerary down south.

Eskapo verde is an oasis of well being and perfect to enjoy life.
This place is an incredible little mangroves paradise with incredible people.
We enjoyed staying there and spend time with talking with the wonderful owner Alain and Simon.
The bedroom is well equipped with all what you can need for a perfect holy days.
They offer kayaking trips into the mangroves for a fair price and the restaurant is as well excellent with real food like rarely seen even in Europe.
If you are searching for a relaxing time, beautiful view, good food and nice people, eskapo Verde is a MUST do for your trip in Philippines!
Well located at badian Bay it will take you only 15min to go doing the touristic stuff in moalboal but will still permit you to enjoy an agreeable and calm stay "far" from the agitated moalboal.

We can't thank enough Alain, Simon and there team for our wonderful place and wonderful welcoming.

Eskapo Verde means ‘Escape To The Greens’. I really love to go there, and I have again and again if for not other reason than to wake-up to a beautiful chorus of the birds, feeling the fresh air on my cheek, and to be surrounded by Mangrove trees. The owners of this resort are beyond special. The kitchen is exceptional. Remember to ‘tick’ the Vegetarian Box because they have scrumptious vegetarian delights. I especially love their fresh lumpia as well as their grievously sinful portions of ‘Halo-Halo’. You’ll be lucky if you stumble upon Harvey one of their dino-reptiles but is in actually a Monitor Lizard. At first my husband thought Harvey was a dog! I think he’s still hoping to adopt him! Eskapo Verde definitely is an ‘Escape To The Greens’ or our local Jurassic Park adventure.

Surrounded by the mangrove trees and the Badian Bay, the Eskapo Verde Resort is a beautiful and calming resort - a place to chillax.

We stayed in a well designed, cute cottage set amongst the trees. After a great nights sleep, to be woken up by the sound of the birds was a great way to start the day.

The restaurant served great food and also provided a great opportunity to see the local people searching for crabs etc in the bay and to watch the beautiful sunset along with refreshing gin and tonic ( other alcoholic drinks are available!)

The owners Alain and Simon who took the time to personally greet us, have created a welcoming and memorable environment with very friendly and hospitable staff.

Unfortunately we only stayed for 1 night and would have loved to extend our stay.

Eskapo Verde is a beautiful resort, perfect to relax for a few days. It is very calm and nature all around you, the SUP tour through the mangroves was breathtaking. The restaurant has a great variety of different local meals as well as classic meals. The rooms are nice with a clean bathroom. Staff is really friendly and simon, one of the owners really helped us a lot when we had problems with our flight home due to covid-19. We really recommend you to come by!

From being dropped off by the taxi at the end of a dirt track and walking onto to the 600+ yard bamboo bridge over the mangroves, our jungle experience started. Once the bridge walk has been completed another walk further into the jungle to find our cottage and a further walk into the wilderness to find the restaurant overlooking the bay, what a sunset. My son and I spent 3 nights here and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Close enough to Moalbaol on the local bus to go snorkeling to look for the famous sardines but unfortunately we were unlucky with the previous days weather. The owners, Simon and Alain visited every table for every meal to check all was well and also arranged for us to have a day canyoneering, another great experience. The staff were all so kind and friendly. If you are ever lucky enough to vist Cebu in the Philippines, try and find Eskapo Verde, you wont be disappointed.

Stayed over New Years for a few days. Rented motorbikes with assist from resort. Went to waterfalls, in to town for dinner a few times, beaches. Didn’t take advantage of the kayaks and paddle boarding. But we did make it to the dock or the cliffs to watch the sunset every night. Buildings are some of the finest crafted anywhere in PH, owner is a carpenter. Stayed in both dorm and cottage, both were beautiful and great values. Food was good, variety of options, mostly PH style.

Thanks for your comments and for your stay. Just to clarify, one of the owners is a Swiss *cabinet-maker* by training - which is like a carpenter as a brain surgeon is like a para-medic :). Hence the quality throughout!
