We recently stayed at Waterville House while we were visiting golf courses in Ireland. It was by far the nicest place we stayed. It is a beautiful old country house (mansion) and Michael and Christine welcome you as if you are family. It was like staying in their home. They serve only breakfast (a fantastically tasty one) so only those staying in the hotel come in. It’s superbly quiet and private. There are beautiful sitting rooms well stocked with liquor and soft drinks. The views of the ocean are spectacular from every room. We will always remember the majesty of the waves and the peacefulness of the house. We stayed in other fancier golf resorts on our trip but only this hotel felt authentically Irish. Micheal and Christine are just old fashioned, good people and they went out of their way to help us get a last minute Covid test.…

Christine and Michael are great hosts. House is great place to stay for local golf. Breakfast was excellent and the house has its own driving range, short game area, and putting green. Bar and living room very relaxing.

We stayed here after playing Waterville and it was a treat. The hotel wonderfully complements the course. The hotel has a driving range, a par 3 hole with a golf cart and a chipping area. It also has a stream for fishing and some picturesque sheep. Staff is very warm and welcoming. Very gracious. Very pleasantly surprised, will return.

hard to describe the experience here until you stay here. amazingly friendly attentive helpful staff. Michael/Christine will give you a ride to golf, pick up your clubs, basically make your stay a no brainer. Each room is unique with a view of either the ocean , the river, or the driving range. most private driving range/practice facility you will ever use. The morning breakfast is amongst the best i have had. i recommend the full Irish.

Waterville Golf Links is one of the best golf courses (among many) in Ireland. And Waterville House is the perfect complement to the Links. The rooms, named for famous golf course architects, are comfortable and spacious with nice bathrooms. Their is a very comfortable lounge/tv room with a honor system bar overlooking a salmon stream & Atlantic Ocean...perfect for golfers. The staff was very helpful arranging dinner reservations for us in town. Breakfast each morning was excellent.
