This property impressed from the first sighting and the impression continued when we met the proprietor and our hostess Pam. She welcomed us on arrival with coffee and scones which was most welcome indeed after our long drive. This is a magnificent house and is very tastefully decorated and in excellent condition. We were here for three nights and were really looking forward to the stay. Pam proved to be an excellent hostess and enjoyed interacting with her guests and looked after every detail. The very large bedrooms were very well decorated and had extra large king size beds and were opulent and comfortable. Tea/Coffee making facilities had to be removed due to Covid Regs etc.
The house is approx. 1.5 Kms from the centre of Cove and is a very pleasant walk into town where there are a selection of very good restaurants and visitor attractions within easy reach. Advance booking was essential in most restaurants and visitor attractions as they were extremely busy. Knockeven House was an excellent base from which to enjoy many of the attractions Cobh has to offer.
The Breakfasts at Knockeven House are "Fit for a King", table service only in accordance with Covid 19 regs and with great variety and really good food.
We really enjoyed our three nights at Knockeven House and Pam was an excellent Hostess and we would definitely recommend Knockeven House. We look forward to revisiting in the not to distant future.

A serene and lovely hostess welcomes you to a wonderfully-furbished and quiet house. The rooms are spacious and clean, fluffy towels and a big, comfy bed included.
Breakfast was absolutely delightful: Fresh fruit, yoghurt, wonderful home-made scones and brown bread, salmon, full Irish breakfast.
Beautifully blooming hydrangeas grow around the house and the sitting room is an absolute dream.
Pam provided us with various dining and sightseeing tips in and around Cobh.
Pam sent us on our way with a couple of her delicious home-made scones. :)

Pam was very kind and caring, she gave us a warm welcome and tips on what to see in Cobh, she prepared an amazing afternoon tea with the loveliest scones we ever had and drove us to Cobh, where we would otherwise have to take a cab or walk. Our room was spacious, cozy, and very romantic. The breakfast she prepared was fabulous! We would love to stay longer, definitely coming again. Please consider booking directly on her website ;-)

Knockeven House is a beautiful old house (with ample parking) set in lovely grounds accessed by a long rising drive. Pam is a lovely, kind, funny lady, she even gave us a lift to the bus stop to get our bus into Cork! The guesthouse is a pleasant 15-20 min walk by the water into the town. The breakfast is lovely with homemade soda bread and scones. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but Pam is happy to make a drink if you want one. Knockeven House is very quiet and we had the best nights sleep ever! The locals are very friendly and helpful and the town of Cobh is lovely. The Titanic Experience and the Cathedral are definitely worth visiting and we would definitely return

Despite booking this accommodation over six months in advance, the hostess called frantically a month or so before our trip because she had overbooked. I cannot imagine we did not book first; however, we were booted out to a standard hotel - clean, friendly but noisy and sterile - definitely not the same environment we expected with a traditional Irish bed & breakfast. The host made the accommodation and our payment transferred over - I really expected she would have chosen a similar accommodation in which to place us.

I’d have to say a no to this one purely out of a lack of reliability and a lack of care in choosing a back up plan.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Knockeven House. It is a beautiful warm house with loads of character and a wonderful host. Pam offers great advice on things to do and cooks up a delicious breakfast and freshly baked scones. Great location within walking distance to the town centre and close to loads of local attractions.

Beautiful vintage mansion with large rooms and lovely grounds. Pam, our gracious hostess, offered a yummy huge home-cooked Irish breakfast. We had a wonderful visit and would recommend this B&B for your Cobh stay. This was our first overnight B&B on this visit and will now have learned to specify we don’t want everything on the Irish breakfast menu or else we won’t fit in our clothes upon arrival home!

Myself and my partner stayed with Pam for two nights, we would highly recommend Knockeven House! Pam was a wonderful host and very accommodating. She gave us recommendations on where to go for food and drinks which we very much appreciated. The house and grounds are beautiful. We will most definitely be back.

We’ve stayed at this lovely B&B for three nights. We highly appreciated the friendliness of the hostess, the large and comfortable room, and the delicious breakfast. Knockeven House is located in a very quiet and pleasant place; very closed to the centre of Cobh. For sure we will be back to stay with Pam in our next visit to Ireland. We highly recommend Knockeven House to everyone with absolutely no hesitation!

It is definitely a hike into town centre - maybe 20 to 25 minutes and some of it not the best walk in the world (car traffic). We had a car a drove into town, although parking is difficult. We did get lucky parking around the cathedral however.

Sorry - you'll need to contact Pam direct - we were only visitors there. You won't regret staying there though if you do get in.
