This must have been our fourth or fifth stopover in our tour of Southern Ireland. The place is very nicely kept up, freshly painted with a truly striking quilted wall hanging. Very clean with a very comfortable bed and, a pleasant surprise, two pillows per person - all other places we have stayed at have only supplied one. The breakfast was a very tasy full Irish breakfast, also the best so far on our trip. The B&B is in easy driving distance of Bunratty Castle and the adjoining Durty Nellies Pub which were well worth a visit

We stayed at Balally House on the "bookend" days of our vacation proper. Our flight arrived at 6am on a Thursday, so we booked a room for Wednesday night to ensure we could get in upon arrival. We stayed until Friday morning when we traveled to our rental property. The following Friday we came back for one night in advance of our Saturday departing flight. Dawn and Ryan are excellent hosts of this cozy and comfortable property. Communication before arrival was very smooth, so there were no issues with our 7am arrival at the property. We stayed in different rooms for each overnight, and both were spotless and comfortable, with reliable wifi. The dining room is very homey, and we felt pretty special with the lovely place settings. We indulged in the full Irish breakfast to get our busy days started, and the meal was perfectly prepared and very substantial. Hubby said the coffee was great, and he's a coffee snob. For dinner both days we crossed the street (literally a 3-minute walk) to the Old Lodge Gastro Pub inside the Shannon Springs Hotel, where we had terrific meals including the best tomato soup we've ever had as well as the best sticky toffee pudding of our entire trip - and we ate a lot of them! Great service and value too. Balally House is just a few minutes' drive from the airport and easy to find. Because we prefer the west of Ireland for our visits we always fly through Shannon, so we will be booking with Dawn and Ryan in the future. Highly recommend!

B&B is sparkling clean, room was very comfortable, and the breakfast was fantastic. Dawn is an excellent host. She recommended a few restaurants nearby as well as a lot of tourist destinations in the county. Balally House was our favourite B&B during our trip to Ireland.

It is easy to understand why this place gets such good ratings. It is so clean so bright so well decorated and the couple that run it are terrific. Plus the breakfast is superb. If you are using Shannon this is a great stop.

There aren’t proper words to describe how lovely this B&B is! Dawn and Ryan set the bar extremely high for all B&B’s. The cute touches, beautiful decor, and true Irish hospitality make Ballaly the best B&B I have ever stayed in! Thank you Dawn and Ryan!
