Detailed Reviews
We recently spent a night at the Carrigane House just outside of Adare. The house itself was lovely and spacious. Our room was very comfortable with a good bed and strong shower. Maura, our hostess, was very nice. She provided recommendations for dinner and served a wonderful, hearty breakfast on a miserable morning.
If your in Adare -- pay a visit to the Carrigane House.

A recent 10 day tour of connecting with cousins throughout Ireland brought us to the beautiful village of Adare and the home-like feel of the best B&B we stayed at during our trip. Maura and her daughters could not have more hospitable during our one-night stay. For us it felt like we were visiting a “cousin”. The room was extremely clean and well-appointed with a bed that allowed us the best night’s sleep. The breakfast was Ireland’s best (Eggs, sausage, blood pudding, and terrific brown bread) as it was cooked to perfection and was delicious. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer. Carrigane House begs for a return trip by us as we were short on time and there is much to explore in Adare.

We rented 4 ensuite rooms at this family run bed & breakfast in Adare, Ireland. The owners treated us like their own family and served a delicious breakfast with a wide array of choices. None of us had ever stayed and a B&B before but all of us would stay here again.
Friendly, clean, convenient location and wonderful breakfast. Highly recommend!

We were recommended this b&b by another b&b that did not have any vacancies for the night we went to Adare. We were informed it was about 1 km. outside the village. The town in itself is quite small, so you do not want to stay too far away from the centre, unless you want a farm house of course. According to our car, this was however over 2 kms. outside of the village centre, and it was too far away for us who wanted a centric place to stay. The b&b in itself was clean and nice, the shower was a bit low on pressure, the breakfast was good, and they had private parking in front of the house. The owners were polite, but distant.

My wife and I stayed here for our 1st night in Ireland. The rooms were fine and the breakfast was excellent- perhaps the best of all the B & B's we stayed at although all were, frankly, quite good. Mike was most helpful- and had a sense of humor- when we checked in. It is a little out of town but after having a pint in one of the downtown pubs, we parked the car at The Carrigane House and walked to a restaurant that wasn't too far away. Nice house, pretty grounds and good parking area. Rooms were relatively small but typical size and we got along fine. I recommend.

Maura was minding another B&B for the owner who was visiting a doctor, and recommended her own property because the other B&B was fully booked. We had a ground-floor room that was very nice and a very good breakfast. Her husband was very friendly and showed us his collection of tractors. Maura was extremely kind to us when my husband wasn't feeling well. I would recommend this B&B highly.

This is by far the best B and B experience in Ireland. We have stayed here many times before and it seems to get better each time we stay. Maura provides unsurpassed service and food alime. You cannot find a better breakfast in a B and B. No praise is too much, a wonderful stay and we will be back!

This B&B was the best one on our tour (6 B&Bs in 12 days). Lovely and clean room with bathroom (inkl. hair dryer), great breakfast (full irish, scones, pancakes, porridge with bailyes, cereals, yoghurt, fruits, home made bread, toast, jam...), very good location, very friendly landlady Maura. Everything is done with love. Free wi-fi in the room. If we come back to this beautiful area (Adare, Wild Atlantic Way, Cliffs of Moher, Donkey Sanctuary, Dingle Peninsula, Limerick), we will definitly stay here again! Thanks Maura!

Yes they only take cash. There is a bank machine outside the AIB Bank next door to the Heritage Centre where you can get Euros. This is what we did.
