Pauline is an exceptionally kind and gracious hostess. Our room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. We really ejoyed the quiet country setting. The breakfast Pauline provided in the morning was delicious. We will definitely stay with Pauline on our next trip to Ireland. Michele and Dermot, New Zealand

Pauline is by far one of the most gracious people I have met in Ireland. The accommodations were very welcoming. The bathroom, although it wasn't in the room itself, was a full bath with a tub and wasn't shared with any of the other guests. The beds were very comfortable, and I had my best nights sleep this trip! There is plenty of room for parking, the grounds are beautiful. It is remote enough to feel as if you are in the country but not far from the center of town. Next trip to Ireland, I will definitely be paying Pauline a visit, for a couple of nights! I would recommend going to Adare just for the kindness of Pauline and everyone in the village.

Pauline is a lovely lady and a very kind hostess. Tea and pastries upon our arrival, and a nice room (although a very small bathroom). Close to the wonderful village of Adare and to Limerick. I would highly recommend this B&B as the service is second to none.

We stayed here for one night during a week of wild and cold Irish weather. Pauline was so kind and welcoming! Our room was lovely and the bed so comfy with warm, heavy blankets and a heated pad on the bottom! We slept so well in the country quiet! In the evening after a very nice meal at a pub Pauline recommended, we sat in the parlor with the lovely fireplace glowing. Truly one of our favorite memories of our time in Ireland! The breakfast was fabulous and Pauline was accommodating to my vegetarian choices. Such a delightful stay!

Pauline is in a word, an Angel. She is warm and calming. She offers help as well as tea in the afternoon. She is a a lovely welcoming host and definitely puts her special touch in everything she does!
Very cozy and comfortable rooms and atmosphere! I slept the best I had in a long time there.
I would recommend Elm House again and again and will come back if I have the opportunity to visit again.

Pauline is so welcoming, warm and friendly. True Irish hospitality. A great place to relax in the quiet of the countryside yet close to town. My breakfasts were delicious also. The room was just the right size when traveling solo and the bed was very comfortable too.

My sister and I stayed at Elm House in March for a week. Pauline was very welcoming and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Her breakfasts were delicious and included cereal, fruit, yogurt and an Irish "fry". The rooms are clean and quiet and the beds very comfortable, with electric blankets. Adare, once described as "Ireland's prettiest village" is just over a mile away, with its Heritage Centre, antique and clothes shops, cafes and restaurants. I will be going back to Pauline's on my next visit and I would recommend a stay at Elm House without hesitation.

Pauline was a wonderful hostess. We were the only guests staying there that night, so she gave us our choice of rooms. The room was large and comfortable. It is an old farmhouse converted to a B & B. There was plenty of parking right outside.
The B & B is located about a mile and a half from town. That was no problem as there is plenty of free parking behind the Heritage Center.
Pauline provided a huge breakfast of scrambled eggs and Irish fry. We ate until we were stuffed.
The Elm House was one of the nicest places we stayed during our Irish holiday.

"Because GPS is so sketchy, I would definitely recommend knowing well beforehand where to go. The people in the village weren't able to locate Elm House by name, and name of the road is not visible from main street. To make it easy once you start to enter Adare, it is the 3rd exit on the roundabout about quarter mile down to the left. If you pass the Adare Manor you've gone too far."Read full review
