Myself and my husband stayed on Wednesday the 27/10/2021 as we had a Wedding the following day in Adare.
Everything was Excellent from start to finish. We would highly recommend this B & B and Bridie was a lovely host and looked after us really well.
11 out of 10 for everything. We will be back.

Stayed 26 May 2005. Rooms very nicely decorated. Quiet, comfortable stay on our last night in Ireland. They kindly fixed an early breakfast so we could get to the airport in good time (about half an hour away).

Our room was on the ground floor and very comfortable. There is on site parking and free wifi. Breakfast was outstanding, with many choices and homemade jams. It is only a couple of blocks from the main street, and out hostess recommended a very good nearby restaurant for dinner.

I stayed here for a night over the weekend and was not impressed by the funny smell in room number 2.The bathroom was very spacious and grand but the towels would badly need to be replaced. They were very old.Breakfast was just ok.Where the cereals are id say they were in the containers for a while.

I knew were going to be late and called the day before to tell them we would be there late after our Cliffs of Moher tour. When we got there she had the vacancy sign up, was surprised, and told us we got her last room. That is not cool. However, the room was nice, clean, and quiet. The shower is very strange though. You have to pull a cord (that looks more like a senior citizen fall alarm) to get the water to start! Anyway, if you are sure she has your booking it's a nice place to stay.

Stayed here during a short break. The place is clean and comfortable but old fashioned. The location is good as it is a short walk away from the town.
The house felt quite cold as the heating wasn't on much and it wasn't warm outside.
The service was friendly and the lady who was looking after the guest house was very nice. However the breakfast food was a bit disappointing and smoked salmon was not available on the menu even though it is shown.
I've stayed in much better quality places for the money and felt it was overpriced for what it was.

This B&B was fine in terms of location, cleanliness and breakfast service - all of that was as expected and Bridie is friendly and welcomed us nicely. However, the rooms we were given did not fit what we had specifically requested. I asked for a twin beds room for my nieces and king bed room for my husband and me. There was a twin bed room, but it also had the larger bed in it (very crowded with furniture) and the second room had a double bed. We ended up putting the girls in room with twin beds and we took smaller room. By smaller, I mean the smallest B&B room that I have ever been in. Could touch the wall from my side of bed and we took turns getting into our suitcases. But most disturbing was smell of cigarette smoke in hall and our rooms that evening. I finally went down and talked with Bridie about the smoke that was rising up from downstairs and coming in our bathroom window. She was flustered but after we talked the smoke stopped drifting up. Pretty sure it was someone visiting there, but very annoying. I would not go back and honestly cannot recommend since there are so many really good B&Bs. This is my first negative review, but I felt it was important to make these comments.

On arrival, we were given a small room with a double bed BUT our reservation did say Double room, bed size = 2 double beds!!!
The twin room beside us stayed empty for our stay and we did not understand why we were not given that room or the room on the ground floor. We only stayed one night.
When tourists ask for specific beds if is usually for a reason (in our case a medical device that needs to be plugged in). We were very disappointed with our stay.

We made a last-minute change to our plans and stopped in at the Berkeley Lodge two evenings ago. Luckily, Bridie had one room available. The lodge was fantastic. We had a room with one double bed on the second floor. The room was not huge, but it was certainly adequate for our needs. The bed was comfortable, and the bed linens were all very clean and fresh. The bathroom, while compact, was very efficient and clean. The hot water system for the shower is different from what we see in the states, but it provided a good, steady supply of hot water for showering - something we often lack in hotels. The lodge is located very close to the principal street of Adare, and it is easy to walk to restaurants and shops. It’s also right down the street from the castle! The lodge itself feels very secure; you get keys to both your room and the front door, so you don’t have to worry about strangers walking into the lodge unannounced. Bridie was a very welcoming hostess. She made us feel at home and gave us excellent local information. In addition, the breakfast the next morning was delicious. Our stay in Adare was short, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Before we left, we took a walk along the river - something Bridie had recommended. So glad we did!

My husband and I stayed here on Friday 15th as we were attending a wedding locally. We were very warmly welcomed by Bridie and shown to our room which was spotless and extremely well presented. The bed linen is top class!! We arrived back at 4.30AM after the wedding and our room was beautifully warm and cosy.
Breakfast was gorgeous....Absolutely 5***** quality with fruit salad (Great variety and in proper bite size pieces) and whiskey porridge included on a fantastic menu. I opted for cinnamon French fried toast with maple syrup. Plenty of brown bread and thick hot toast. A winner all round!!!
