We arrived jet-lagged and road weary, and welcomed the warm reception we received from Jennie and Mike at their B and B. We were shown a spotless, well appointed and modern room with everything we required. A roomy bath with fluffy towels and a large shower, comfortable double bed and quilts to ward off the chilly spring nights. Sparkling clean and lovely dining room and lounge, and of course a scrumptious breakfast feast. Perhaps best of all was the easy conversations with our hosts and the other travelers, and the sharing of local knowledge. Our CIE Tours vouchers were accepted, and a great memory was added to our trip.

This is a lovely B&B in the countryside, with plenty of parking, nice big rooms, and good breakfasts. It's a short drive from the small town of Adare, and not too far from Limerick. Jennie made sure we knew where we could go to eat (and find an ATM!). We had a lovely time.
One caution: it's a couple of kilometres off the road from Limerick, and unless you're an excellent navigator or have a really reliable GPS, you want to arrive in daylight so you can see the Hillcrest sign. ("Reliable" means Google Maps can find it, but not the GPS in our rental car.)
But it's worth getting there.

Not surprised they are no longer in business. I live in the Adare area and summer of 2023 called to see if they had rooms available for friends I had coming from Dublin. I was only about 8 seconds into my call and the lady HUNG UP. Never encountered this sort of rudeness before from any B&B or Hotel . As I live in the area I know the property did not change ownership so that was not a factor.
The lady simply had to say that she no longer operated , not so difficult.

We got to this B&B rather late but got welcomed by a hot cup of tea and a cosy living-room. Our landlords Jenny and Micheal we very helpful with information about the area. The room was spacious and cosy, it had a very comfortable bed and a nice view onto the farmland. It was very quiet so we had a good night's rest. Breakfast was delicious with a large variety of fresh fruit along many other tasty things.
It was a lovely stay

What this is - a one story B&B in the Irish countryside, with knowledgeable, hospitable, charming hosts, a delicious, filling breakfast, and a location central to many of the day tours that SW Ireland has to offer (Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Moher, Dingle, etc).
What this isn't - a large chain hotel. There are a limited amount of rooms, as this is a lived-in home, but Jennie and Mike are absolutely gracious. It really added to our trip.

The Hillcrest Country B&B was such a great place to stay while traveling all over Ireland. It was centrally located so our day trips to Aron Islands, Cliffs of Moher, Galway, Cork, Dingle and Blarney Castle were not too far away and a great way to see the beautiful country side. The owners Jennie and Michael were so helpful and accommodating. Her breakfasts are the best, the pancakes are a must. They helped us plan our day trips and gave us a lot of options of good place to try or what roads to take for the best views. Adare is one of the most picturesque counties in Ireland and the downtown area had great pubs/food and shopping. The B&B is about a 5 minute drive to the downtown area. Have fun, we did!

Stayed at the Hillcrest and had a great, enjoyable visit. Jennie and Michael Power were superb hosts. Rooms were great...... quiet and comfortable. Breakfast outstanding. Jennie went out of her way to tell us the best places to enjoy Adare... she made us feel like family! Do get detailed directions.

We stayed at the B&B for 4 nights. Everything was great; the room, the breakfast and location. Jennie and Mike are very welcoming and polite on welcoming you into there home and making sure everything goes well with your stay. The Irish breakfast is a great way to start the day. Location is perfect, away from busy roads but near to all of the towns which are situated near by. Gorgeous Irish countryside greets you every morning. Jennie and Mike are full of knowledge which is great as it was our first visit for years back to Ireland. We will be definitely be returning again.

This is a cute and small place, out of nowhere. You can't go there without a car. But it's a quiet place, with a beautiful view and the BEST service! The couple that run the place are the best of the best! They will do almost everything to make you happy and satisfied. The breakfasts were awesome - the cook is fresh & clean and of course tasty!
Thanks for a wonderful time!!!
