Located on the highway just north of Inopacan overlooking rocky foreshore. Only a short trike ride to the Port. My room was large with double bed (clean linen) and 2 sets of bunk beds. Small table with 2 chairs. It overlooked the highway but there is little traffic late at night. The aircon was efficient and quiet. The TV worked well with a limited cable subscription. The bathroom had a separate shower area. Good water pressure and hot water. My meals from the restaurant were very good. The owners and their staff are friendly and helpful. If your too lazy to do your own travel research then Gerard will help get you sorted. I enjoyed my stay here.

Loved our stay here in this little haven in Conalum. Room is very neat and tidy, bed sheets, pillows, rest room are clean. There is aircon and tv with cable. The best part of our stay are the 2 kuya's who are very helpful during our stay in this resort. They are very accomodating and they know the place very well. Too bad, I forgot to ask what's their name. If your are going to Inopacan or Conalum area for Cuatro Islas island hopping, this resort is highly recommended!!

Owned and operated by a Dutch gentleman. It is a perfect getaway away from the suburbs of Metropolitan Manila. The main airport is Tacloban City. There's a gym and a bar in this hotel and a restaurant that offers European Cuisine as the owner previously owned a restaurant in Spain. The hotel also offers tour packages to " Cuatro Islas" , the white sand 4 islets just an hour away by motor boat and they also rents out Kayaks and Jet Skis. This place is also just 30 min. drive away to a nearby cave which is the home of the native and friendly monkeys where you are free to feed them!. The cost for one night is as low as 10$ with breakfast included.

NARRATION OF FACTS: We asked our hosts for direction on our reserved accommodation since we don't know the place we have booked. And, we were told that it was the same place we have reserved and booked as we told the host which is Gerard Bujic (Bovec or Bujec) that we canceled our first booking since we can't contact our host for the Pension House & emailed Airbnb for their response in which he said they used the same booking in Airbnb. We arrived late, kids were already asleep, the driver unloaded our bags then dropped us off on the place our host told us. When we arrived we followed our hosts Gerard and Cornelia to the room we have booked & given us the 2 rooms in Bamboo Beach Conalum instead of the Pension House as described in the booking. Having no car, kids were tired, it is dark outside and very late of the night, that didn't give us much choice since they pointed far away on the dark place where the Pension House is located. We even tried to get only one room as we have 2 small children and we only need a place to sleep and change our clothes. They were too kind and accommodating that too difficult to refuse, so we settled with 2 rooms (1 room booked by my wife & additional 1 room by me through Airbnb) that night. Next morning we left our room at 7 am and spent Island Hopping at Cuatro Islas for the whole day. We came back to the hotel late in the afternoon. Freshen up a little bit, then I went down to say hi to our host while my family is resting in bed. I thanks them for their hospitality and letting them know that we are leaving very early as the bus will pick us up between 1 am and 2 am across the street. Our good conversation continues until Gerard presented me the amount that he wants me to pay. We were cool at first while he continues to explain to me about the adjustment and discount that he already applied. Rooms should have been prepaid. I told him that we will pay if Airbnb bills us on our reservation we used. Then, I got shocked when he suddenly got mad and want us to leave the room. I thought he was just kidding but no he is furious. ” You want your room, let's do it right now, you need to leave the room right now,” I asked for half an hour to pack our things and to wake up my sleeping children. Then he keeps saying ”No, No, No, No, you need to leave right now.” Every time I want to say something he keeps saying ”No.... right now” over and over. ”I don't even know where my other rooms are, you sent us here,” I told him. ” I will take you to our Pension House” he replied. Shocked and confused, I woke up my children and asked them to pack their things we are moving to different rooms. Sleepy and confused but my children hurried and pickups their stuff.
Gerard dragged us out at the Bamboo Beach Conalum where they put us in, now letting us walked for 10-15 minutes in the dark while dragging our belongings along the highway, putting our lives at risk from the passing vehicles.
At Pension House, he keeps shouting insulting me in front of my family, ”you booked the cheapest room, and you are staying at the BeachFront, you want everything free and do you want my money too?” he continues, ” and Oh I am looking forward to your bad review,” then slammed the main front door, he didn't even give us the key to our room.
Gerard's actions, behaviors, and verbiage in front of my children and minors are unacceptable that brought trauma and stigma to them.
Up to this writing, Gerard has sent me messages, want me to pay more than Airbnb charged us. At first, he will report us to the authorities. That I can not leave the country. That he has witnesses and we are on CCTV. And now, the case has been filed with the authorities. That our communication is being watched. And urging me to pay him, is the best thing for me to do.
”Our room should have been prepaid, If in case, we owe Airbnb any amount of money, we are willing to settle it directly with them.”
FYI, Pension House host Cornelia Dejesus Bernardo and Gerard Bujic (Bujec/Buvec) are husband and wife, and are also the owners of Bamboo Beach Conalum. Both places are located at Barangay Conalum, Inopacan, Leyte, Philippines.

I had a very pleasant stay at bamboo beach Conalum. The rooms are decent, the view is nice, the food in the restaurant is delicieus but most importantly: the hosts (Gerard and Connie) are so friendly and helpfull.
I only ended up staying 2 nights because in between I went to Quatro Islas and Southern Leyte, but still I could leave my luggage for free at their place. When my phone was not working Gerard gave me his phone to use. He also helped me with planning my trip to the south and I could rent a very decent and trustworthy motorbike at their place. Gerard and Connie were just so hospitable and always in for a chat.
I would highly recommend this place!

Thanks to Gerard and Connie, our hosts really went out of their way to look after us. Just loved our stay there. Plenty of things to do. A must is the islands visit by banca boat. Spectacular! Will definitely be back. Great food. Great rooms.

From the moment we all arrived, we were greeted by the friendly owner who went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Our bags taken to our very spacious and spotlessly clean room with crisp clean white linen, plenty of towels amazing shower room with hot and cold massage shower as well as waterfall effect. The owner helped us with all our travel plans while we were there and the staff are trained the exacting standards. We also ate here each night of our stay. Food 10 out of 10 even the foreign food selection is excellent. Breakfast by the sea in the morning a must see for yourself and if you wish the staff will open the secured gate to the beach area basically 10 foot from where you sit. It has been said so many times before the old cliche "Arrive as a guest leave as a friend" but in this true very rare case it is actually exactly that. From when you arrive until the minute you leave you will feel like you have not arrived in a hotel but a friends house for a visit. Will for sure be staying here again. Thank you to Gerard and all your staff.

The rooms are prepaid through Airbnb, you brought us to a wrong place and gave us wrong accommodation and you treated us that way. Text exchanges: .. Oct 10, 4:56pm : Me: ”Is it the same place where my wife has her reservation made? She spoke to someone and straightened out the accommodation, and I just made another one for 4 people or for the rest of my family at the same place. I appreciate your help and I apologize for the inconvenience. We wish to see you around during our visit.” ....... Oct 10 5:00pm Gerard replied: ”Yes, all the people can sleep in the same accommodation and it is in place where your wife make the reservation. No worry.” ... I am sorry, but we are unaware and have no idea that you serve breakfast, otherwise we would have stayed and had not gone out at 7:am to look for a food. I even tried and asked you several times, if you please let us stay, my family is tired from island hopping all day and now sleeping. We only have few hours left before we check out before we leave as our bus will pick us up at 1:00am, we can use one room, we just need to get some rest. You keep saying ”No, no, no, no, you need to leave right now” If we owe Airbnb money, we will settle it only with them.
