Our party had, for one night, single, double and triple rooms - all excellent. Triple room had sea view, others hadn't. The Adelphi is located just round the corner from best sea view (but on the best shopping street) but tbh it doesn't matter (in Portrush, everywhere is literally within 2mins walking distance). Beautiful clean, well appointed, well presented rooms, we were all very happy. Important to say up front, all staff were excellent: lovely warm, welcoming people, even though they were booked out and very busy (though, Special kudos to the lovely lady doing front of house in the Bistro!!). They have WiFi you don't need to ask for the password for, which is a vital (if increasingly commonplace) plus. Only niggle was the remote control for the TV, which seemed to work a bit hit and miss, which was annoying, and triple room had same problem (had to get out of bed and approach the TV to make it work!). Need to mention the Bistro. We were booked in advance and glad we did - end July 2021, "staycationing", everywhere full. Our table was within sight of the door and we saw people being ever so nicely turned away. The staff in the Bistro are superb - nothing is too much trouble, and they Remember What You Told Them - this sounds simple but 90% of restaurant staff can't do it. We had an excellent meal, that, frankly, exceeded our expectations. The menu is a bit 'old school' but the cooking, lovely fresh ingredients and presentation were really top-notch. Portion sizes were generous, but not overwhelming. Little salad garnishes were different and appropriate to the dish. We were four critical diners, and I have to say, each dish we had impressed and satisfied, especially when booked out. If I really _had_ to criticise, I'd ask for a bit more choice for vegetarians. From memory I think there were 2 vegetarian main course options, against two pages of meat/fish-based choices. Our vegetarian was very happy with his curry, which he says was light, fresh, the veg obvz prepared for the meal (not as an afterthought out of the freezer, as veg curries often are) and the rice was well-cooked and light; but more and more people nowadays are either vegetarian or wanting at least to have the option. So a bit wider choice for vegetarians would help I think. Breakfast (inc in room price) was wide in choice - a nice lady came round with a trolley from which you could choose cereals, yoghurts, juices etc. The cooked breakfast, to be honest, wasn't in the same league as the previous evening's meal, but was acceptable. And, bless them, the staff were really nice and very helpful. All in all, our party were really happy with our overnight in the Adelphi, and we'd be happy to stay/eat again and to recommend to friends.…
Booked to stay for one night bed and breakfast during the spell of good weather. Room was very clean and had all essentials needed. Breakfast was great. All the usual items on the menu. Olivia who I think was the Bar/ Restaurant Manager was very friendly. Will definitely stay again.
Stayed for 1 night, birthday celebration. Hotel was lovely and is perfect location ways to explore what Portrush has to offer. All staff were lovely and before arrival I had let them know we were celebrating a birthday and arrived to a lovely surprise on the room. Defo recommend and will be back! :)
This place should be absolutely packed. Amazing gluten free food. Get the gf burger with an excellent moist gf bap, lovely garlic diced potatoes and unbelievable pepper sauce. Thanks for another amazing meal. My wife loved her regular glutenful fish and chips. I do not recommend the chocolate fudge cake at all. It's dry and is a very dated approach to chocolate cake- it's like a chocolate gateau flavour. I've loads of incredible gf desserts at home that I'd love to give you the recipes for. Thanks for an excellent meal. Hopefully you'll have a wee look at desserts for our next trip and not be too offended by my feedback. I had a great experience eating with you.
Stayed here for 2 nights. Bright spacious room with powerful shower. Very centrally located right in the centre of everything. Staff are lovely especially the wee dark haired girl in the bistro who was so, so nice. Food was exceptional. We ate here both nights...the chilli beef fajita was superb and service was very quick. We had to pre book the spa but we had it totally to ourselves which was a bonus. Small spa but adequate. Would definitely return here. 100% recommended.
