We spent a great week at the Ritz. I was glad that my Platinum status rewarded me with an upgrade to a residential room that featured a kitchen. We enjoyed some breakfast and lunches in the room that was nice instead of eating out all the time. A special shout out to Robert the pool attendant. He was the hardest working guy and very friendly. He constantly checked on us and made the stay enjoyable. The property was in great shape and the staff helpful. One minor complaint… as a Platinum Bonvoy I was told we get free beach chairs and umbrella. The first day we went to the beach and found out chairs are no charge but lounge chairs are $50. Seems a little cheap by the hotel that charges $1,000 a night or more. We enjoyed the music each night in the lobby/bar. Overall a great place and a relaxing vacation.

Hotel's Favorite
My experience at this resort has been fantastic, mostly because of the people. The location is beautiful and the hotel is well appointed. The decor, finish is not up to the minute fashionable, but that does not bother me because who cares about decor in paradise. Also, while I've noticed the marble might be a little dated, the electronics including the kitchen appliances and TVs in our suite are top notch, brand new. We even have one of those fancy Japanese toilets. My experience started positively before I even arrived, Margie, one of the desk folks was extremely kind and nice and found me the perfect room for my family. She definitely conveyed the Aloha Spirit even before we arrived. I'm a platinum member so she arranged for a nice upgrade. Unfortunately the Ritz does not give any breakfast benefit to Elite members, which I think is a terrible business decision, but my rate came with some resort credit. (note to bonvoy, I think you'd make quite a bit more money if you gave a breakfast benefit for a continental breakfast and then just upcharg for the full Buffet, everyone would go for it) . Our first day the concierge, I believe her name was Simone was able to call and get us a table at a luau that was sold out until October, and you could see the genuine glee she had in helping us get a hot ticket. Although turn down service has been suspended or ended since covid, I did get a call on my first day to make sure I had everything I needed. When the gentleman came with my extra pillows I mentioned that I did not like the perfume in the shampoo and he brought me some unscented organic shampoo, it was very thoughtful. Walking the gorgeous Resort I asked a woman for directions to the health club and rather than pointing me she walked me all the way there chatting with me about the resort and the island. She turned out to be michelle, a food and beverage manager and I have noticed that even if it is not her area she makes an effort to pick up towels check on guests etc. she is clearly very passionate about making sure everyone has a good stay. The food on the resort has been very good, but I do think the prices are a little high. Our waiters in the restaurant we're lovely and kind, Laura our server this morning was a pleasure and has worked with at this property for more than 25 years. The valet folks make sure you have towels and water if you are going out and mike, the golf cart driver gave us a tour of the Resort and was very pleasant as well. He told us interesting facts about the trees on the resort and of how the completion of the resort was delayed when they uncovered a burial ground which we have a view of from our terrace. I'm quite confident that unlike in the case of Greg Brady the spirits are pleased with our visit and are making things go very nicely for us. Aloha mahalo!

My wife and I stayed here just before the Labor Day weekend. We could not have been more pleased. Our expectations were high and met. Beautiful hotel with great service and location. Stand out for us was the concierge patience and help, Banyon Tree restaurant, and golf at the Plantation course. We stayed later at the Four Seasons Wailea and will be staying at the Ritz Carlton only next time.

Beautiful area BUT from 5am every morning, Roosters crowing all around Ritz Carlton and Kapalua Ridge condos. All day. !! Very irritating and not a peaceful stay. On walks, chickens and many many chick's and roosters everywhere. Turning into a farm area. Very disappointed. Will vacation in another area next time.

Our daughter has a severe case of Celiac Disease, and the chefs (and broader restaurant staff) at this hotel's restaurants went above and beyond to ensure she could eat safely (gluten-free, with no possibility of cross contamination with product or cooking appliances containing gluten). Due to their sincerity, genuine concern, and care, we returned several times to eat at Ulana, Olu Cafe, and Banyan Tree...and we weren't even staying at the hotel. Special thanks are in order for: Chef Chris (forget his last name), Chef Sergio, and Chef Ramos. These 3 were professionals in every sense of the word, handling our sensitive dietary needs with seriousness. Would also like to thank: Amy (breakfast server), Kristen & Miyako (dinner servers), and David (server at Olu)...these individuals all went above and beyond. Aside from the sense of comfort we felt, eating at the restaurants here, we could tell that this hotel was really something else...so gorgeous. The views, the serenity, the beauty. I hope to stay here one day. Thanks, everyone.

This was our first time staying here & we were extremely impressed. We even hung out at the resort for over 24 hrs & didn’t drive anywhere one day. The resort is very nice and so is the large pool area with multiple pools & spas. Not to mention the incredible beach/ocean at the bottom of the resort. We used points & cash to stay here. There’s a burger shake over looking the ocean & other great places to eat on the resort. We ate at all the places at the Ritz & were pleased with the food. Two evenings we hung out on the couches in the lounge & had drinks & listened to great live music. One of those nights, we had a full dinner in the lounge & enjoyed the nice breeze, music, drinks & tasty food. The resort has a large gym that was well equipped. Every employee at the Ritz was extremely pleasant & welcoming. There is a “Coastal Trail Hike” that’s incredible! The valet guys were awesome & we had some nice conversations with Sean Gibbons & Kimi Knoops. What a great experience. Highly recommend. Steve Concialdi

What a legendary service : from the Bellman who assisted us upon arrival with the luggage, the warm welcome from the guest relation team, a flowless check in experience, the service from your Ladies and Gentlemen in your newly renovated Club Lounge (big shout out to Laura for guiding the team), all the pool attendants were super engaged with everyone and the Bayan Tree restaurant dinner was superb (specially Rebecca’s thoughtful service). As you know, we were there for a weeding every detailed was breathtaking ( kudos to Amanda , Chad and Chef) Last but definitely not least, 1st Class to your Housekeeping team, the heart and soul of the resort. I left a first class card for them, I hope it makes it to the team. Thank you for the most immaculate room and amenities. I would like to sincerely Thank you for also arranging the most amazing weather and the room facilities… my husband was beyond amazed and this makes me very happy. It is difficult to put everything into words and describe how much fun he had. From the bottom of my heart, Mahalo for your assistance. We have thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of being part of this transformative experience at your resort. Our first time in Hawai and we felt like royalty.

The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua is situated in an ideal location, just north of the town of Lahaina with views of the islands of Lanai and Molokai. Upon arrival in the stunning lobby, we were greeted with guava nectar and a lei. Check in was smooth and efficient. Ongoing construction, however, necessitated a circuitous path to our fourth-floor room; walk down a long hallway from the lobby to a set of elevators, down one flight to the fifth floor, then walk another long hallway to another elevator and down to the fourth floor. This might be the first time I was ever glad to have a room close to an elevator. The room was spacious; the bed comfortable. The bathroom included a stall shower, a tub, and double sink vanity stocked with lush towels, robes and a wide variety of amenities. The breakfast was excellent. The buffet included a variety of Asian and American specialties, an omelet station, a wide array of pastries, fruit, and fruit juices, and many a la carte choices. The pools and hot tubs were inviting and surrounded by a more than adequate number of chaises and umbrellas. The only negative about this hotel and others of its ilk is the $40 per night resort fee. Anyone who is willing to pay $1000 per night is unlikely to be discouraged from booking here if the fee were $1040 per night. So why not cut out the resort fee, tout the absence of a resort fee, and perhaps the competition will similarly drop this nonsensical charge. The resort fee is all the more outrageous when one considers the charge for chairs or chaises and umbrellas at the beach; $100 for two chaises and an umbrella or $75 for two beach chairs and an umbrella. Having booked two rooms at approximately $1,000 per night each, plus a $40 per night per room resort fee, paying another $175 for our party of four to sit on the beach for several hours was absurd.

From the time we checked in to our departure every staff member treated us amazing. We want to mention some very special staff members who shared care and interest in not only serving us, but knowing who we were as people. Big shout out to the pool staff members: Brandon, Victor and Marvin. While we were served by others, we found them to be the best of the best. Also kudos to Vaughn who also was super friendly and engaging while dropping off our food. Housekeeping was amazing, our room was top notch! We frequented the lobby bar (which we wished opened before 4pm) and loved the greeting and interaction each time with Daryl, Dustin & Patrick. They made the experience that much better. We hope to be back soon.

This is one of the most fantastic properties I've stayed at in the world. I've been fortunate to stay at some of the best properties in the world but the Ritz Carlton in Kapalua is certainly among the very best. I stayed here many years ago when it was first built and then again in August 2022. We retained several rooms for my family. All were newly renovated and had magnificent views of the ocean and pool area. The food and hospitality at this hotel were also outstanding. I'd highly recommend this to anyone wanting a trip of a lifetime.
