We traveled here in mid-May with my two children (girls, age 5 and 6) and had an amazing experience. Our villa (1314) was ocean front and beautiful - beds comfy, full kitchen, everything you'd want. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and Emerson of the Minnow Hut went above and beyond to play with our girls in the pool. The front desk was always responsive with recommendations, car rentals, everything you'd expect. The dragonfruit mojito is worth an order at the bar. We dined at both restaurants and snacked at the jerk shack. Everything was great - we also liked Coco Plum Bistro right down the road. If you have time, visit Coco Plum beach at low tide - ridiculously beautiful. What an amazing trip! All the beach toys you can imagine -we swam with dolphins at the beach Sunday morning. Water was gorgeous ... island is very low key, slow pace and relaxing.…
The facilities and amenities were very nice. We stayed on a couples get away and will definitely be back. The Exumas are so pretty and nice. We loved the two pools and awesome beach area. The resort is 10 minutes from airport and has a marina right next to property.
My husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary at Grand Isle Resort & Residences and could not have been happier with the experience from start to finish. Our room (one bedroom, ocean view) was so well appointed and comfortable. It was clean, well maintained and very spacious. The staff at the resort were beyond kind and went above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable (particular shout out to Melizza, Paul & Carlos who were the absolute best!) The food and drink options at the restaurants were quite good and the service was wonderful. The spa, in particular, was lovely…we had treatments with Shelly and Kavika, and they were so wonderful we went back a second time! Overall, we could not recommend Grand Isle enough. We cannot wait to come back!
What an incredible place! Grand Isle Resort & Residence is a nature and outdoor pursuits lover’s dream! It’s also perfect for those seeking privacy and comfortable luxury. I love working out and jogging so this stay was incredible. I jogged the Emerald Reef Golf Club twice a day, sunrise and sunset. It is a spectacular experience, the green golf turf and emerald / sapphire / crystal turquoise water hues, contrasting with the rugged and powder white coastlines … it’s a visual you will never forget. The golf course envelopes the property and is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by legendary PGA pro Greg Norman! The hotel’s 24/7 gym is awesome too! It’s stocked with every piece of equipment you need, has water and towels too. I was able to stay on top of my fitness while indulging on the delicious food and beverage options the hotel has to offer. I loved the architecture of the property, it combines some of my favorite aesthetics, Classical meets Caribbean-Colonial. The loggias throughout the property even add a touch of Spanish / Balinese architecture too. It’s just a beautiful place. You feel luxurious, calm and comfortable. It’s just right. The accommodations are spacious and are attached villa style, the interiors are bright and airy with high ceilings, excellent finishings and enhanced with seaside costal furniture & decor. Our Lucayan Villa was impressive with a double height foyer. It included three bedrooms - two on the ground floor and the third on the second. The living spaces (family room + desk + dining + expansive kitchen) are on the second floor, a smart design move as it allows guests to enjoy the views and immense natural light - while lounging within the larger spaces of the villa. I could spend hours relaxing in the living spaces. We ate at 2/3 of the hotels restaurants - 23° North Beach Club - a fine dining grill house experience and Palapa Restaurant, Grand Isle’ Poolside F&B venue. Both were excellent options, I enjoyed the Calamari & Jerk Chicken Cobb Salad at Palapa. At 23° North Beach Club I tried just about everything on the menu! The mains are composed of land and sea options; what I loved most was you had options on how it was prepared and then you could choose from endless sauces to crank up the flavor! 23° North Beach Club‘ ambiance is so charming, it’s perfect for families and romantic experiences too. Kim or server was FANTASTIC! Knowledgeable, pleasant, prompt and on top of things from start to finish. Great service always enhances Food & Beverage experiences, and she did just that! Ok let’s talk about the beach. I’ve travelled the world over, but there’s nothing like Exuma blues, the water has a halo affect, glowing throughout the day and particularly at sunrise and sunset. There is very little seaweed within Emerald Bay so the blue goes on uninterrupted for miles and miles. It is nature at its very best. Be sure to visit the beach throughout the day because it changes and every time you see it, it’s mesmerizing . Overall a 10/10 experience - great food, ambiance, service, architecture, landscapes and so much more. I’m ready to return! Thank you to Dean Spychalla (GM of Grand Isle Resort & Residences) and team for making our stay one for the books! To anyone thinking of staying, BOOK NOW and thank me and yourself later.…
My family and I spent a wonderful weekend at Grand Isle in Exuma. We found the service at the Resort to be exceptional, starting with check in, and was maintained throughout the facilities. We visited both restaurants on site, Palapa and 23 North, but our favorite was 23 North; the service was great and the food was excellent. We also enjoyed the spacious, beautiful layout of the 3 bedroom Villa over- looking the beautiful golf course and marina. I highly recommend Grand Isle Resort.
