Detailed Reviews
Lovely surf resort very close to Cloud Nine. Rooms are basic but clean and provide exactly what you need, though there could be more blankets on the beds rather than just one sheet. The landscaped gardens are beautiful and you can hear the ocean. There is a party every Saturday night so be warned that it does get very noisy then especially if your room is close to the restaurant.
Staff are very friendly and can book whatever activities you need. There's an ATM right outside the resort and tuk tuks come by pretty often. A good number of restaurants are within walking distance as well. Overall a nice stay away from the main street of General Luna but still accessible to the center of town.

Awesome surf resort with ever so kind and helpful staff. I stayed in a community villa which was really spacious. Even though it’s a 12 bed dorm, it never felt crowded or noisy. Surf guides were really helpful and knowledgeable, there was a good selection of surfboards to rent. Restaurant serves great breakfast, and if you miss it because of surfing, you can get a takeaway box. Really good value resort with great vibes. I met some awesome people.
Keep up a great work!

The unmissable place for surfing... Family bungalow or 12-bed dormitory at a very reasonable price, this resort overlooking a beach is of a typically Asian design with a large outdoor common room for breakfasts and meals. Filipino dishes are offered with a wide choice. A Surf school is within the premises of the establishment. Nothing beats the pleasure of going to the spots with a Surf scooter under your arm...

Comparing hotels in Siargao, this is above average and yet the place is not well maintained. First is the staff. Despite being big in number, they still miss a lot of details. They booked us a private transfer from the airport to the hotel even though we agreed to a public transfer, but still charged us for private which was 3x the price. They are also not very attentive to their visitors. They didn’t brief us when we checked in and they also did not offer any help with our stay.
Next is the room. Although nice from the outside, the room is not well kept. There are stains on the sheets, dusts all over, and flickering lights (they’re blinking the entire night even when we’ve turned them off). We also found an extra pillow in a drawer that was really gross!! It’s unwashed and the place where it’s stored is super unhygienic. Also, the queen bed in the deluxe room is just two single mattresses joined together. It was very uncomfortable.
I have been to many beach hotels so it was a huge surprise when they wanted to charge us for clean towels!! It’s P300 per wash which was unreasonable.
We’re also stationed at the farthest end of the hotel but they have very little lighting. It was difficult for us to navigate on the nights we came home late.
THE WORST PART — after the room was cleaned on our 3rd day, I stepped on a thumbtack and I bled because of it. I don’t know how they can be so unaware and careless to leave something as dangerous as that on the floor.
The only good things from this hotel — location, food is decent, the cute dogs.
Will not be coming back.

I had a great stay at Harana Surf Resort and immediately felt welcome. The staff are all super friendly and always helpful, all my requests and wishes were answered and implemented immediately. The atmosphere is very familiar and I got to know great people. The dorm is nice and is cleaned every day, the single rooms are spacious and beautiful. The surf school is super organized with great surf instructors. Highly recommended and hope to be back soon, thanks for a great stay.

It’s our first time back since the renovation and our first time with our child. I love how the place has transformed the beach area to be more child friendly with a lot of spaces for kids to play, nap, and even swim in the pool.
The staff is as they have always been - warm, welcoming, accommodating. We can’t wait to go back!

I had THE BEST time at Harana. I stayed in one of the villa dorms, it was probably one of the best dorms I’ve stayed in…and I’ve been travelling for 11 months. The staff were so friendly and lovely. I also did the surf lessons through Harana surf school - amazing school and instructors. I loved it so much il be coming back in a couple of weeks.

Great place, great people. It was a pleasure to hang out with Jane, Miryam and all the super friendly staff here. They probably have the best coffee machine in town - and a real barista handling it. I would always come back to Harana if I’m on Siargao.

I stayed for 4 nights. Comfortable large bed (two singles together) and good air conditioning.
Lots of work happening to build / re-build, starting at 645am with angle grinders. I assume that this won't last forever. Lots of dogs barking all hours of night and day.
Highly recommended, but overpriced vs. other places on the island.

The hotel is a kubo type modern cabin. The feelz of an island dwelling is there. The price is just right for a party of 3. We got the deluxe 8 and it also has a balcony. The bathroom and shower are noth clean and with hot water. The problem is just the fluctuating electricity which is Siargao’s problem. Pity to the hotels coz the airconditioners will greatly be affected by this on and off thing in power supply. The mayor ahould do soemthing about the power supply in the island.
