Overrated is an understatement. For the price it offers there are way better resorts in same area. 1. Beach is rocky. Not for swimming. 2. The beach view studio, most expensive room at ₱8000++, did not offer the basic incidentals we are used to like hand soap, lotion, tooth brushes, regular towel ( theirs were so thin), face and hand towels, slippers etc… 3. There is an annoying noise every 2 mins and lasts 1.5 minutes all night and day. It kept me up until 5:30 am with earphones! 4.There was hammering or noise from downstairs (kitchen maybe)at 8:am ( I had only 2.5 hours of sleep) so room was not sound proof. 5. The facility decor and furniture are run down and old especially for the price +. 6. We are both seniors and their stairs looks like a trip hazard and very dingy. 7. The safe doesn’t work also 8. We found cobwebs behind the side table after seeing a spider. All in all, it is overpriced for a dilapidated resort. In contrast, the staff is very friendly and accommodating but these issues can’t be replaced or fixed with smiles and good service. …

Beautiful resort with great views. I was able to watch the UFC in their bar when i was there and they hd good wifi. The rooms were a good size and the pool is nice. All in all we had a great stay and I would go back.

Stayed here in Aug 2022. room is quite spaceous for the 2 of us. Didn't try the restaurant on site as there are a lot of options in the area.. Beach is not so nice. Staff are generally friendly & helpful

We were lucky enough to get a late booking after traveling from S.Leyte with the family for Easter weekend celebrations. Siargao was hopping and unusually busy and the Reef Beach staff and management were more than accommodating to our vamily of 5. Management made sure we were all looked after dayan night and left no stone unturned to ensure our visit was a successful one. The kids ( 3) all had a blast on the beach and in the pool, and we were looked after brilliantly by the management and attentive staff!! Food at the restaurant was top notch and myself and the good wife loved having sundowners on the beach. We cannot wait to return for the hospitality and good vibes!! Rooms=emaculate!! The main objective of our vacation was to enjoy the beach. Unfortunately, this was not fulfilled because: 1) The beachfront of the resort is full of rocks so very hard to swim in even during high tide. 2) We were not able to go on an island hopping arranged by Reef Beach resort with its' partner tour operator as it was not able to secure a boat for us 3) The weather was rainy so we were not able to go on a land tour On the other hand, the resort could make the following improvements 1) Ensure availability of the dishes offered on the menu. During our stay, we were not able to order any calamari because there was no arrival of squid 2) Avoid over-cooking. The fish I ordered for fish and chips was overcooked; resulting it to be dry and tasteless 3) Clean the rooms and overall resort…

Nice beachfront place in a very good location to go to cloud 9 or general luna. The staff is always willing to help and the internet connection was very fast. Love to prder the island food from the restaurant to the room We will go back for sure!

As others have noted, the rooms are lovely, modern and clean; there's a nice pool, and the resort is situated in a good area with lots of great restaurants in easy walking distance (Cev is phenomenal). The restaurant/bar is ocean-side, and while it's probably too rocky to swim and get in a good walk, it is a good view. If nothing goes wrong you could probably have a nice time here. The issue is that if something *does* go wrong (as it did for us), you're in a dangerous situation with absolutely no support. I wouldn't stay here again and strongly recommend against it for solo travelers, couples, and families. Our original room wasn't as advertised (adjacent to the bar, concrete wall vs nature view - annoying but fixable), but the real issue happened on nights 2-3. In the interest of not writing a book, I'll just focus on the lowlights which ultimately caused us to give up on the property/holiday and head home early. On Day 2, were were moved to a hall/floor occupied by a large group of men. They returned to the hotel around ~9:30pm very, aggressively drunk and began yelling, playing music at high volume, and running up and down the shared hallway in front of our room. Reef Beach staff visited the room several times throughout the night but failed to solve the issue, which continued until ~3am. We spoke with the manager the following day, and he emphasized that he was aware of the problem and it was being taken care of. As you probably guessed, night 3 was an encore performance, even louder and more aggressive, but this time there was *no answer* at either the front desk or on the security number. We left our room to get help from the guard directly. He did finally return to the building block with us and spoke to the men in both rooms. They were back at it less than 30 min later - yelling and playing music at high volume both in their own rooms, directly outside our door, and in the pool area. Again, no answer on either the reception or the security lines. At about 2am, my husband left the unit to find the security guard who was at the pool *with* this group of men, doing nothing to moderate their behavior. My husband tells the guard that it's 2am and well past both quiet hours and pool hours. The security guard does nothing - even when 6 men in the group left the pool area to loudly and aggressively confront my husband for asking them to quiet down. They surrounded and physically threatened him, and we believe that there was real potential for violence. We left the next day. Reef Beach is fighting us on a full refund because this gang of guys were *guests* not locals and the security guard 'spoke to them.' Ultimately, Reef Beach management does not seem to understand their obligation to provide a safe environment for guests (and so far Agoda is backing them up). If you're looking to pay a premium to go wild all night and yell obscenities at your neighbors from a cute studio with IKEA vibes, this is your place. But if you like to relax and maybe sleep a few hours (and you're not an a**hole), I wouldn't take a chance here.…

Hi there Elizabeth, Apologies for the late reply as I have been on annual vacation. We are happy that you enjoyed our facilities and have investigated your concerns about some fellow guests. I have reviewed our security guards report and can see that there were disputes between some guests. The report does not mention the dramatic scenes you have described and they were not corroborated by complaints from any other guests (85 guests during your stay) except for the guests you were continuously arguing with. Upon checking out the group complained about being harassed by you guys. They mentioned that they might complain directly with Agoda. We wish you well for the future. Kind regards Reef team.

Was here Feb 12 - 14 2023, my wife and i had a valentines date in Siargao. Booking was quick and efficient, pickup to and from the airport was a breeze. The staff were all very polite and prim and proper, typical Filipino hospitality trait abounds here. Located about 50 pesos and 10 minutes away from Cloud 9. Food in the resort was delicious, choices are limited but the taste is quite good. Kudos to the chef and to the servers of the restaurant. Me and my wife loved the grilled mahi mahi fish. Breakfast was standard Filipino or American breakfast which is ok, given that the price per night is not too high. The very helpful front desk helped us arrange the island hopping tour. i've been around the Philippines so i am comparing with the likes of Coron Cebu Davao El Nido and Boracay. what stands out in Siargao is really the clean waters of the beach and the surfing omg. one point though, if you are a beginner surfer, try learning from the left side of Cloud 9 as i think there are fewer if any rocks in the surfing area. The right side of Cloud 9 is where i tried learning and unfortunately i hit my arm under one of the underwater rocks, i got scraped skin about 4 inches x 1.5 inches, serves as my Siargao tattoo i guess.…
