The accommodation is first class and the location is excellent - great views from all rooms and the common areas, and a short walk to Cloud 9 and General Luna. All the staff members were wonderful - smart, friendly, helpful at all times. Would highly recommend.

We stayed there for about a week and we were sad to leave. The Villa is located in a quieter/more peaceful area, away from the busy town centre. We rented a moped and used it to get everywhere on the island and that was great. Their pool was great and we had the best time relaxing there in the evenings. The staff was very accommodating that was always there for us even made it ready for us to be out all night by the bar to work and study threw the night. They had a great breakfast and their dinner was so good that people from town came up to the villa for food so often that they had to turn some away since they only had a few seats and a small kitchen. their rooms were large and clean with a great balcony that they served us breakfast with thee best view.
I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay somewhere quiet but with easy access to the busy areas of the island.

Maya Siargao, like most great tourism stories, I think, comes from fact that its proprietor never originally started out to set up a B&B. He arrived on Siargao Island, thirteen years ago, looking for a wave. A nearly perfect one, it turns out, and like most things in life, one thing led to another....

Maya Siargao is a three story villa located atop a private hill, just a few minutes off Cloud 9. Alon and his wife offer three room types. I've stayed in the ground floor double room (with rainbow shower) that opens out onto the infinity pool. A great stay, both times I've stayed there. Clean, quiet airconditioning, an amazing view, a nice bed, room to breathe just a few minutes from Cloud 9 and the bedlam that is GL. The best thing is the interest that Alon and his wife take in their guests, with recommendations, helping to set up lessons or guides, renting a motorbike and in just being hospitable, welcoming innkeepers.

And a great thing about being on a hilltop in tropical Siargao is that you get a great breeze, and not so many mosquitos!

Highly recommend if you want an accomodation experience that's not in the thick of things, and too far away. And given the newness of the rooms, and the warm welcome you are certain to receive, it's certain that you too will find Maya Siargao far more than what you might have originally expected. Go there now. I know I'll be heading back very soon.

It was our second visit to Siargao. Last year we stayed at different accomodation (which was excellent, but didn't have a swimming pool). Knowing the tide situation, we decided to go for an accommodation with swimming pool this year. Villa Maya is located on a small hill overlooking golf course. We liked the seclusion and feeling of privacy. The room we stayed in (family room on the first floor with big terrace) was big enough for three adults and two kids to fit in, though a bit worn down and not well maintained. Housekeeping was a bit sloppy (not making the beds, not taking the garbage out, dust everywhere). We had to ask for everything: towels, toilet paper, cleaning the room... After mentioning this to the manager, things were quickly resolved, but still... Breakfast was included in the price, but the options were limited (american, pancakes or israeli). Having a swimming pool was a big plus. Swimming is the sea is nearly impossible due to tidal conditions. Anna, the manager, was helpful. She organized tour to Sohoton and island hopping for us. But the overall feeling we got was like we were their first guests and they don't know exactly what to do with us and how to handle things. It was a bit overpriced for the service provided.

We've been to Maya Villa a couple of times and we liked the place so much we decided to book all their 3 rooms over the Halloween holiday. Alon & Venus, along with their staff, were very friendly and accommodating. We loved their pool and the view was just gorgeous! Food was great (their Israeli breakfast is a must-try!).

We had a little issue with the AC, but overall it was a superb stay. Thank you Maya Villa, and see you again soon!

We stayed here with 2 small kids for around 18 days - great trip.
Alon and his wife Venus (and their extended family) our excellent hosts.
Alon knows all the surf spots and we were lucky enough to surf a couple of perfect 4-6ft line ups. You can see all the main breaks from the top floor of the house. We surfed great stimpy's a few times and also a couple of other breaks which Alon will recommend depending on the conditions.
Venus helped us to get a full time nanny for the whole trip and she was very reliable and a big help for us parents to relax and enjoy the holiday.
The food is good and the fish in particular is the best - we had daily offerings of bluefin tuna or Blue Marlin.
Alon is personally building a Par 3 golf course and its great! very convenient when the surf is down or to hit a few balls with the wife.
We also liked the swimming pool and we gave the kids swimming classes every day.

Apart from the surf, we also recommend:
- Kalinaw - wood fire oven pizzas
- La Luna - cheap cocktails and good tropical chicken curry
- the boulevard area in GL for local style bbq - you can bring your own fish from the market.

Ask Venus to buy speciality seafood like Lobsters, Jumbo Prawns or crab which either they can cook up or you can bring to the local BBQ restaurants. They cooked up an excellent meal of garlic crab and great value price.

Alon hooked us up with a rental scooter (highly recommended) on day 1 and a surfboard. Venus can arrange surf lessons with ex-local champions which is great for the family or novice surfer.

We came as a group of 3 families with 6 kids and took over the 3 rooms of the Villa Maya. Beautiful place up on a hill, nicely removed (10-15 walk or less than 5 mins/50 pesos moto-taxi ride) from Cloud 9 strip of resorts/cafes/shops. Large pool and deck with lovely view over the rice paddies and small golf course, which was a nice break from beach/ocean activities for both adults & kids.
Hosts Alon & Venus (& their team) are lovely and extremely helpful in organizing activities and providing inputs on plans. Villa Maya restaurant, where we did half board, was excellent on everything we ate, and provided a nice mix of local, international, fresh seafood and Arabic dishes. Venus was helpful to suggest and cater to different options based on fresh availability in the markets.

highly recommend this for couples or families looking for a relaxing stay, with easy access to but not in the middle of the Cloud 9 resorts/shops/noise.

we look forward to coming back with friends/family again in future years!

We stayed there for just 4 nights, but could have stayed the whole year :)
The rooms are great , very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good, the swimming pool - amazing! They also have a private golf course!!!
The villa is quite, in the center but not on the main street, so you have peace and quite and can sleep very well. They also have good internet connection for free.
We all had a wonderful time!

Amidst the surfing place and crowded beach in cloud9, this place is definitely a go-to home in the island. I am overwhelmed of how the staff were super friendly. I was amazed that when we arrived, they led us straight to our room with really refreshing welcome drinks. It’s very peaceful and comfortable. The rooms are huge(we were a group of 4 and stayed for about 4days and 3nights). Most of the staff are locals themselves and would advice you and suggest some activities for you. I love it here ❤️
