Was looking for a place where I could relax, meet some people and have some fun. Found what I was looking for at Kawili. I slept in the dorm which is fine. AC and fans work. The showers are cold but I got used to that this trip. The small pool is a nice refreshment and you can grab your own drinks and keep a tab. The dogs and cat a shy but very sweet. Breakfast is OK although I'd advise to go out for meals. Staff's chill too.
This place looks have a homey vibe, yet my concern is the security of those stayin' at the hostel. they don't have security guard and the gate was always open. I've stay their for 4 days but the only time that I saw the staff was during my first day and during my last day.During my check out I was looking for the manager or owner or anyone from the hostel I can't find anyone even though I advice day before that I was going to check out. then suddenly a foreigner come down from our building and told me he was the owner who looks just like a typical surfer in his board short and just gave him my balance and left since our ride to the airport was already outside I just leave a message to the manager Pam that I gave the balance to that foreigner and I didn't receive any confirmation back. the place is clean, we were 12 in the room with only 2 electric fan it has AC but I think it was not functioning well as if were not using AC. it was too hot especially during day time even though the AC was at its maximum level. there were two toilet and two shower but the two shower door was hard to open and the water was salty and has this smells like sulfur I don't know. Its just my friends can't stand the smell that they have to buy mineral water outside just to brush their teeth. the place was near a lot of restaurants and other hotel.…
Very pleased with my stay at Kawili. Easy to meet people as a solo traveler at this place. Friendly and helpful personal that makes the stay really effortless. Great lounge, great location and great people.
Spacious rooms. Good location, walking distance to almost everything in General Luna, 1 tricycle ride away to cloud 9. Friendly staff, very chill vibes — you can hang out by the pool, grab a couple of beers from the fridge, list them on the tab and pay only upon check out.
We arrived at Kawili after a long search for a place to stay. We met Pam the owner who was so kind and helped us with many good recommendations for things to do in the island. As written on other reviews, the water do smell a bit funky but you won’t even notice it since the vibe is that good (and service water are free for any use). Anyway, a new well was drilled this week so even that would get better. The resort is located at the middle of the busy street of General Luna (bars, shops, live shows etc) but is still cozy and quiet so you could chill at anytime. Would definitely return! This place do feel like your home away from home. Thanks Pam and Björn!!
