ACCOMODATION

A.OCEAN VIEW ROOM
1. Not recommended. Cannot view the entire ocean as there are trees and cottage along the way for both villas. They have only 2.
2. Fridge were not opened. Nothing inside.
3. Poor airconditioned.
4. Small bathroom.
5. TV available.
6. P2,900 or $ 70 /night.
* It suppose to be the best room but did not meet the criteria we were expecting.

B.POOLSIDE ROOM (NEW)
1. Recommended than the Villa. Big enough for two guest. If you ask for an extra bed the room still have space to relax.
2. Bathroom is big than the villa. Hot & Cold shower.
3. Balcony for smokers.

C.STANDARD ROOM
1. Recommended for a person who is on the tight budget.

3. TV not available.
4. Room rates P1,500 or $40 per night. (2012 rates).

D.FAMILY ROOM
Havent check this room but from what they advertise this may be the best deal among all the rooms. P3,000 $70 per night (2012 rates)

Please bear in mind the General Luna is a third class municipality so don't expect something that extravagant. But with all fairness Cherinicole can be a place to stay for family or group of friends.
Not for a surfer as the resort is almost 5-6 KM away from the famous Cloud9 surfing area.
But not for a beach lover as the beach at the resort has a huge rock formation in front . No place for sun bathing or playing under sun with sand.
It's a must that you go on island hopping. The beaches are so inviting.

Local transportation is not available ALL the TIME . So location wise, again location wise, the resort is a short walk from church, wet market, a major Souvenir store, GL Boulevard, 9Bar (coolest bar in town just across the street), Dine-in store (other choices of food).
This is essential as the streets are not yet cemented, poor lighting and most of the hotels are far away and even just a little rain it become muddy. Not good for a long walk. So wet ,soft and slimy.

That is why during peak season Cherinicole is one of the resort that is fully book because of its amenities and location wise. Most of the time in Siargao it rains.

AREAS OF Improvement:
1. Availability of food in the resort.
2. Housekeeping.

We traveled from butuan to surigao seaport for 2hrs, then, another 2hrs to dapa seaport at siargao on dapa express. From dapa, another 25mins to cherinicole beach resort, general luna. Its a nice place and we even got a discount on the room. The beach was nice and clear waters. They have billiard pool table and table tennis. But the swimming was not well maintained. There were 5 of us in 1 room. The staffs were helpful, especially, when we asked to cook our food before going on an island hopping. The charged was 150 per kg when you want the resort to cook what you bought at the market. Generally, the resort was nice, the beach was nice, and the staff were. friendly. The crew on our boat stole our food.

Booked early a Garden Deluxe Room with 2 double and 1 single bed + 1 Extra bed for 4D/3N at 18T+ with free breakfast for only 2 (even when the room accommodates 6 persons), and no free cancellation. The room was clean and spacious with adequate air conditioning. It has a 32inch flat screen TV with plenty of cable channels to choose from, a personal ref, electric kettle and an open shelves and cabinet. We were provided with free basic toiletries. The linens and towels were fresh, though were old and worn out. The toilet is a big letdown though - although spacious with hot and cold shower, the toilet bowl was not flushing well (had to pour 3 pails of water before everything goes down and kaya pala a drain plunger was provided). It also doesn't have a window or an exhaust so the smell easily permeates inside the room (yuk). There is a balcony in front of the room with a round wooden table and 4 monobloc chairs. The garden is clean and well manicured. The reception area though was hot. Free WiFi is only available at the lobby and very slow, although Smart and Globe cellular internet signals are fast. The swimming pool is nice, although heavily chlorinated, and the water is cloudy - but in spite of this, our kids loved to swim in it. It is a beach front property but the water on the beach is a bit shallow. There is also a bar, several lounging chairs, and a billiard table. The food served in their in-house restaurant is very pricey and the quality is unenticing (eq. a Php 250 breakfast of corned beef and egg, at least the corned beef could have been an imported brand instead of a cheap local brand). That is why I never saw an outsider eat at their restaurant. The location of the property is very convenient - just in front is a Convenience Store (but closes early), some souvenir stores and several restaurants. Across the street is a Food Park selling all kinds of international cuisine but a bit pricey. Farther down are 2 cheap, budget-friendly eateries, and on the left is a BBQ restaurant. What is very upsetting about this place is their customer relations: I made a simple, rational request that was unreasonably denied. Since our 2-days Tour Pickup was at 6 AM, and their restaurant opens at 6:30 AM, I made a simple, justifiable request that we will instead avail of our free 6 breakfast on our last day (when we have no more tours) instead of having the 2 free breakfast each day, explaining that our tour pickup was very early and their restaurant opens at 6:30 - and IT WAS DENIED? How unreasonable can you get!!! I would have scored your resort higher.

My partner and I had several nights booked but due to the catastrophic condition of the hotel laid awake all night and fled the property at daylight. The room was easily the worst place I have ever seen. The front door wouldn't close and there were ants covering the doorstep. The walls, bed linen and bathroom were filthy. Someone captured all the disgusting detail in the pictures of the property. There was only one light in the room and by morning there was no water pressure for the toilet or shower. It was a catastrophe from the start, the property offered a free drink upon arrival but it was warm orange Tang juice. The pool was murky and glowing green. This place is so bad, they couldn't have done worst on purpose.

Over priced and the rooms were terrible. I moved to 3 different rooms as i had issues such as the toilets not flushing. Air conditioning not working. Televisions not working. Staff were nice but supervisor was somewhat rude when I brought up said issues.
The place is run down and the pool was dirty. So many other great places to stace for half the price.

Worst Hotel ever in my life! I dont know where the other requests are coming from. This Hotel should be closed. But as there is no other possibility as a traveler (everything is fully booked) you have to stay at this horrible place. Water in the bathroom is coming from every where but not from the shower there is no pressure. Toilet not working. Bed are horrible 100 years old nir comfortable. AC is smelling from death animal inside. But you will have a fan in your room as you would not notice.(??!!!??)
Food is not good.
And worst of all; nobody cares about! They even think you are stupid. I see a lot while traveling but this is the end!
Service People are nice and I am sorry for them to work here. Manager is not reachable! I would never ever come back! I would have love to run away but I could not sleep on the street.

I stayed at Cherinicole for 6 nights. This resort is lovely!!!! The staff and owner work around the clock to keep the rooms, garden, pool and beach clean and tidy. The staff, especially Vanessa are very kind and caring and are happy to give you guidance on things to see and do. The owner Joey is personable and likes to have a chit chat - he even let me try out his brand new kayak for free :) the resort has 2/3 great dogs and I was lucky enough to be there when they'd just had puppies, I'm an animal lover therefore this made my stay even nicer. I ate in the restaurant a few times for breakfast - the service was fast and efficient. This resort is a clear 10/10 for location, atmosphere, cleanliness and the great team who work there. There are a few minor maintenance works that could make the rooms even better and I would really like to see a few vegetarian options for lunch/dinner on your menu. Other then that I would like to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone at Cherinicole who made my stay so special!! I hope to return some day. Jo - UK

A magnificently located property with stunning beach outlook. That's the good points.
The bad points are almost too many to mention, but if you are charging top western prices, it is incumbent upon any establishment to live up to the prices you are charging. By that I mean, toilets that are capable of flushing toilet paper and do not block up, a shower that works and not dribble out in a trickle. A cup of coffee would be nice with breakfast (but only if you order the American breakfast??) Disinterested staff hang around their stations all day, waiting for customers that don't wish to give this establishment one cent more than they've been already fleeced. Don't be stingy and make sure all your amenities are first class. Stark white led globes do absolutely nothing for ambience. The place is screaming out for some warm yellow lighting. In all seriousness, you cannot charge so much and give so little in return.

Me and my BF stayed in Cherinicole for 6 nights. We came in peak season and the only available room was their Single room for 1,450 PHP. Since this was a single room, the bed was a bit small for us and the room was not that fancy. But the resort facilities, especially the amazing beachfront, the surprisingly large pool, the poolside bar and Pool-table, the variety of seating areas and sunbathing beds, and the most friendly and caring staff made our visit here truly perfect. The resort also offers larger rooms starting from 2,000 PHP - which still is a fair price for peak season. As for the location, the resort is located right next to "Cemetery" surf spot - one of the best spots for beginner and intermediate surfers, and it is 2-5 minutes motorbike drive away from all the restaurants and bars.

When you are comparing similar places at this price range, this is by far the best value. Rooms for around 3000Pesos 4000P for a beach front room (absolutely worth it). The accommodations are super basic. Dont expect nice towels etc, but its clean, and the setting is sweet. The pool needs a good cleaning for sure, but considering the price, i was happy to have coffee delivered to our room, good A/C, and a TV. The shower pressure was really bad, but again, i will take that for this value compared to neighboring properties.
